I must say I impressed with your daughter and how she behaves around an animal at her young age. No tugging on his fur, no poking him, she isn't petting him too hard are trying to hold him when he wants to move around. She is remarkably sweet for being a bit younger than most children are when they start learning how to proper treat an animal.

Sorry about the tv in the back ground, yes it is Ricky Bobby...haha...to N1DGSD, some are very fluffy until about 4 months old when they loose there puppy coat... Rottweilers 100 years ago have 2 dogs bred into them. the Berneese mountain dog and the greater swiss mountain dog...one with long coat and one with short coat. The trait usually is the short coat, but it takes time for the coat to fully blow out. This Rottweiler puppy was so fat...lol

We all know rotts are kind and playful but with their tail cut, bad people would get scared of them just like how other people thinks about rotties, "EVIL DOGS" which is very untrue.

The fact that docking is not (yet) illegal either shows the entire USA is extremely violent or that there is reason. And to 4kaiyo, do not put words in my mouth. Just because it is illegal there does not make it wrong, nor does it mean I support it or don't support undocking. It is done in the USA because dogs work, it is easier for them to break their tails and have it infected more than correct docking.

@4kaiyo If it were Europe the docking is illegal. people don't seem to realize or care that at 3 days old a dog is not going to get his tail cut. It doesn't get cut when done properly regardless, it gets docked, as in rubberband around it while they cannot see or hear. It is equivalent to a baby getting circumcised, they do not have the memory capacity at that age and it does not mentally disturb them or harm them in anyway. I personally prefer docked because I grew up with it-Tails clear tables

They break their tails and then get infected. They dock them because they do carting, and the US doesn't accept showing tails as much YET.
