Mr. Bobo's point is well taken, but this demonstration is just a trick that utilizes some psychological principles used by stage hypnotists and magicians. Her inability to think and walk with the bowl of water was related what she thought should happen (as strongly implied by an authority figure), not to mention the influence of the audience and cameras. Her reaction becomes self fulfilling.
Analysis doesn't cause paralysis, bad analysis at the wrong time is the problem.
What a fantastically clear example and absolutely right. Everyone can breathe perfectly already (if you couldn't they'd be dead) so just leave it alone!
Exactly! a crucial but often overlooked aspect of Jimmie Stamp's teaching was that, by focusing the student's attention almost exclusively on pitch and rhythm, paralysis-by-analysis become a non-issue; i.e., pay attention to the results, and the means takes care of itself.
It would be too easy to carry a bowl of bacon without spilling... Apparently, during the filming, the Japanese building manager went beserk when the water went all over the wooden stage floor. I think bacon spillage might've cancelled the project then and there!

Just play the damned horn. The audience doesn't know the difference anyway.
How's that for analysis? (No offense, Mr. Bobo.)

Right-on, Boz!
Analysis=Paralysis.
Quintessential example of applied Strunk and White ("if I had more time I'd make it shorter").
Everyone should view these precious few minutes (and take heart)

This was always one of my favorite topics in my lessons with the Maestro. I think of this every time I play.....and it has worked wonders!
