Glad you posted this. I was just thinking, the Russians retained the Soviet star for their military. Can you imagine what would happen if the Germans retained the swastika?
Unfortunately it is not just a Soviet red star. It is the whole way of thinking. Modern Russia adopted all the imperialist and totalitarian traditions. The difference between modern Russia and Stalinist Russia is much smaller than most people in the West think.
