No you don't dude. Its true, the standards have fallen drastically! I think ever since Sponge-bob came out, everybody else has wanted to mimic the stupidity thinking that its funny. But shows like this, mighty morphing power rangers, mystic kights of Tir-Na-Nog, Beetle borgs, VR troopers, Batman. None, absolutely none of the current cartoons can replace them!

beetle borgs were soo kick ass, like power rangers, but with bugs, i also remember a anime that was one of those shows that was like a "rip-off" of yu-gi-oh or pokemon where these kids had a watch that brought out a special robot and the robots were controlled by a special type of chip, & the kids would battle each other with them and if one lost, they lost their chip & i remember a line from a "rebel" character where he says "im just a simple 2003 boy" & i thought "OMG i cant till next year :D"

This cartoon is very cool. The fact that people died or something similar at the beginning of every chapter was a bit too intense for kids, if you ask me.

ODW: Man I actually forgot Virgil used to say that...one of my other favourite scenes was once when Norman was fighting against some ancient evil being, and Norman was onced called Thor. So the evil giant asks him in the middle of the fight. " What do they call you now, Little Thunderer?" and he replies: " THEY CALL ME.....norman."..The year was 1995....☻☺☻☺

I personally think its a breath of fresh air compared to some modern action cartoons they have on air these days like Ben Ten. Don't get me wrong that show definitely has some cool points with all of the sci fi alien action but come on. Mighty Max has the old school grit metal sound and hard line look going for it. No way Tennyson could stand up to that combo even with Swampfire.

@Eolfwine I know your cartoon was over a year old, but FUCK BEN 10. We knew that Max had to fulfill a prophecy, but somehow Ben got some wristwatch and he can turn into 10 creatures? His friends somehow (did not watch the cartoon and do not want to so correct me if I am wrong) got amazing powers. So it is a group of teens that kick ass. Max kicked ass but not in that way. IT was an adventure, thats why I loved Mighty Max so much
