Something that confuses me sometimes about this whole Terminator series is the idea of a son being born before the existance of his father. Yes, John Connor's father (Kyle Reese) was from the future but how could have Connor even existed in a timeline that had yet to be altered? In the unaltered timeline, Kyle had never time traveled. Therefore, he never would have inpregnated Sarah Connor so there would be no John Connor, at least not one who would have grown up knowing what was coming.
