@Shooterman0990 Vehicles are designed to crumple to absorb the force of a collision instead of the occupants. Years ago we used to see fatal accidents where the car was actually driveable after! The cars had no give at all- the driver took all the force of the crash.

You'd be surprised at how tough the passenger compartment really is. side impact bars, reinforced roof pillars, etc. Some, like volvos, are a firefighter's nightmare to extricate people from... Weight and cost play a role, too. Some kinds of wrecks are going to be nasty no matter what.  in many of these vids, you'd be fucked no matter What you were driving!
