  • I bet Fétis is rolling in his grave when he hears your total lack of tonality... Oops,, sorry that's too much for you.. how would you know any of that... did you ever go to any sort of educational institutes or schools? do you have any idea what i'm talking about? I bet not based on the junk you have posted up here.... I'll tell you what,,, don't have mercy on us... have mercy on yourself and stop singing for Sudan... Sing for Ethiopia, your home land my dear...

  • Very nice piece. I love the little soft rap type thing at the end. Keep it up guys.

  • For those who think they know about Sufism in Sudan and thus blaming Alsarah for presenting this culture of ours in this elegant way-- I say to them: You should educate yourself about Sudan; Culturally, Historically and in every other way before you start pointing fingers at Alsarah who probably knows the history of our country more than all of of your ignorant asses!

Alsarah ... You make those who are blessed with knowledge of us proud... Respect to you and to your message.

  • innovative and very creative blend of sufi tradition and modern interpretation of religion and its practices. this is a very hypnotic and mystical piece. it has the ability to create a trance-like effect. it is really an appreciated and enjoyable work. thanks sarah and hisham.

  • Response to inappropriateness: BismillahirRahmanirRahim

Islam is not being serious all the time. Islam should bring joy and happiness with discipline. She is an artist trying to find her way. In time, she will find it, since she loves and respects the holy ones.

    Keep up the good work.

  • Just showed mom your video, she was impressed and said it was very well done. She also said Alsarah is drop dead gorgeous, and that Sudan produces very beautiful people ;)

  • Alsarah performs in New York City live classical

Arabic music from the Middle East and Tarab in Swahili

from Tanzania. The album she is working on is mainly

Sudanese songs. Check out Jamilah on the front page on

her site. But in the end she is experimental, writes

her own songs and performs with musicians from

different backgrounds. Her coming shows are going to

feature her own songs. Thanks for your comment!
