  • Ok. I've promissed some time ago to add a new version (these one is from february 2007 so most of the photos are from 2006). Since 2006 Warsaw has changed. If you want to watch how Warsaw looks in 2011 just watch my new movie "Warsaw 2". Have a nice watch :)

  • Jestem z Krakowa i kocham Warszawę :)

  • I love Warsaw. I mean look back to WW2 when 90% of it was gone. All The Ruins. It Was All Built Back. I mean take a look at this watch?v=Cxb5H77wYt0

There was nothing just ruins. And Our men/women/children rebuilt the old town and loads of other places. I mean Warsaw is a beautiful city with a long history in a country with a Long history. I am Polish and im very proud of My Country and the City I Live in.

  • So, look how our cities (all over the world) are beatifull. Only peace can build.

  • Why warsaw is called like this when they didnt saw the war coming??

  • Comment removed

  • wow Poland actually have a city, compare that to my home country Portugal and its really hard to find buildings that big in Lisbon/Lisboa. Poland and Portugal are good friends aswell :)

  • @FrostBiteTelevision

    thx

we can be friends with all of countries but no with germany, they aren't invited

  • @MrJack9750 Ej not all the Germans are bad ,there are good Germans too.We have to respect evryone, cant blame the young generation of Germans for what happend in 1939, if they respect us we must respect them.

  • @LightYears33

    tak, doświadczyłem jacy oni ,,mili''

  • @LightYears33 Poland was always a friend of Germany in the history. But only a few guys hated Poland, like Frederich the Great and Adolf Hitler. If Frederich hadn't attack Poland in 1793, Poland would be a very rich country. Poland and Germany must be two world leading countries!

  • I was surprised how beautiful it was in Warsaw. Keeping in mind that it was flattened during WW2.

  • That is my home town, here I was born. But despite all warm feelings while watching this video, comes on my mind that yellowish water in the tap. Why? I have heard there is still a problem. Beautiful buildings that is not what I wanted there. I wanted there future. And I wish all the best to you, people from Warsaw.

  • I THINK THAT WARSAW AND BUDAPEST ARE THE BEST CITIES IN THIS WORLD GREATINGS FROM BUDAPEST :)

  • kocham cie Warsawa i kocham cie polsko!

  • Most beautiful city in Europe just like Venice and Prague ;)

  • @JNadobnik Oh come on. Krakow is like Prague. Warsaw is ugly is modern, and you cannot compare to any other city, because non of the capitals in Europe were destroyed and rebuilded like our capital.

  • Krakow is just a city made for business, Warsaw was one of the nicest and most beautiful cities especially Old Town.

  • @minesharp who told you that, and how many times have you been there?

  • @Psylocibowy No one told me and it matters which part of Krakow you are in and yes, i have been there.

  • @minesharp bollocks. Warsaw is city was built as city of buissnes. You wrote a babble. Look at those modern buildings erected lately... Krakow is much older than Warsaw. We call Krakow "capital of polish culture" and only Krakow has right to have emblem of city that shows white eagle with crown. Anyway one trip to Poland won't make you Pole...

  • @Psylocibowy Berlin was destroyed and rebuilt.

  • @alanheath sorry mate but where is your point? Did i write anything about Berlin?

  • @Psylocibowy Yes, indirectly. 'because non of the capitals in Europe were destroyed and rebuilded like our capital'

Berlin was also destroyed and rebuilt.

  • @alanheath Warsaw was destroyed in over 90 percent. Anyway my point was that Warsaw has no style. Because of that destruction has no atmosphere. I have never been to Berlin, so i don't know how it looks there.

  • @Psylocibowy Berlin is really good - but - and this sounds really bad - it had more of an atmosphere when the wall was there!

I think Warsaw has a style. It does not have the atmosphere as has Kraków, Wrocław or Gdańsk but there is something. Increasingly more - much more so than 15 years ago in my opinion.

  • @alanheath I know what you are talking about. This socialist realism architecture. Concrete jungle, grey, and depresfull. This what Warsaw is. I saw "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" Warsaw has similar atmosphere.

  • @JNadobnik Are you serious? Have you been to Warsaw - or have you not travelled much?

  • Nice photos and lovely city. I <3 Poland. This is music of song of Croatian group Magazin :))

    Greetings from Croatia.

  • I like this music!

  • I love our capital! Unfortunately it was completly destoryed durind second world war, so Warsaw isn't so beautiful like Prague or Wienna.

  • @GrafomanPoland so what cities of Poland would you recommend us to visit? I would like to visit Poland some day.

  • @Woodrowtracy Gdańśk, Wrocław and Kraków!

  • @Woodrowtracy obviously Warsaw! it's the capital, and the biggest and most interesting city, with a great history and each part of the city is completely different. You have old Praga and then you have new Ursynow... come to Warsaw!

  • im going there in 11 days

  • I stayed in the black hotel that appears in 1:05 for 2 weeks.

A jeśli chodzi o te kanciaste bryły to chyba wiem o kótre ci chodzi... Mariott i ten drugi... no to jest rzeczywiście syf bez stylu. A co do tych kamienic to się zgadzam w 10000000000000000% nic się nie dzieje...

  • @1000razyja lol, uwielbiam takich postsarmatów, co to kochaja rozowe domki z kolumienkami z katalogow i najchetniej chcieliby wrocic do okresu krola sasa, zapominajac, ze mamy troche inne czasy, troche inna cywilizacje i troche inne technologiczne realia.:) jestem calym sercem za rozbudowa warszawskiego city - juz nie moge doczekac sie zlotej 44, twarda tower czy warsaw spire. mam nadzieje rowniez, ze powstana lilium towers. a jesli komus zaslania slonce, to niech sprzeda chalupe i na solec! :)

  • @tomidlak

To jedź do Hameryki. Tam masz peło tego brzydactwa.

Paryż jest najpiękneijszym miastem Europy. I wiesz czemu? Bo mają tam te :chałupy" jak to nazwałeś. Porównaj sobie pałac Wersalski do...jakiegokolwiek wieżowca...Wersal owni wszystko.

  • @tomidlak

Zgadzam się w 100 % też bardzo lubię Warszawę. Pozdrawiam

  • I'm from Krakow myself but Warsaw is the city I'm amazed with. Every time I'm there walking on the streets I look out for the remainders of history and feel great respect to the place that it has witnessed so many heroic deeds and tragic moments.

Warsaw is like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

For those who don't like the appearance of Warsaw, just type 'Warsaw City of Ruins' in the YT search box and you'll see how it looked in 1945.

  • @Tennessee44444 O know almost every building from that film even thought im not from Warsaw ,sorry but you are liar, maybe Warsaw is not full of these'skyskrapers'but on this video are true pictures of Warsaw

  • @olekman12 yes your right olek downtown Warsaw is like that probably 20 years ago not a lot of story buildings but now a lot of them

  • @Tennessee44444 Umh? What? you must be joking. And yes, you are bad joker. Where did you saw this buildings? This is Warsaw. Definitely.

  • Greeting from Hungary!!

  • Greetings From Los Angeles

  • some of it is so-called artist's impression of how it could be in the future- right?

    Like 2.43 for example

  • @hansl72 no, all are real.. photo at 2.43 looks little 'refined', the same at 3.10, but majority are normal photos

  • @hansl72 i think u should check it by yourselve ...in reality

  • @olekman12

I'd love to, but I'm over 1000 km away, and I haven't been to Warsaw for years...

Where exactly is that place at 2.43? I don't know the arcade in the back...

  • @hansl72

As I recognized this place it's on WOLA, on Aleje Jerozolimskie street near to centre ;D

  • Polska - all the best from Hong Kong

  • AWESOME WARSZAWA!!!!!!! I WENT LAST YEAR ON EASTER! polish people is very amazing and polite! i miss PALAC KULTURY I NAUKI!

  • @wladislaw79 w dodatku jestes klamca.

  • @WineBeerLover

Sure, we would prefer our capital not to be razed and burned to the ground. And it would be better that 210 000 civilians plus 40 000 insurgants were not murdered during the Uprising of August 1944. So please, do excuse our present a little pretentious apperance ;-)

  • how much it´s change I was in warsaw for the first time in 1968 and the last in 1977. I would love to go back to Poland and see it again, Always had the time of my life there.

  • Great city, i have been there 3 years ago. Best wishes from Budapest, Hungary. (:

  • Great Photos

  • I think that all Poles should be proud of Warsaw. It was completely destroyed during the second world war and now it's one of the fastest growing cities in Europe.I've never been to Poland though,I'd love to!

  • @brusmani yes it is a great city i been there 11 times

  • To fajne miasto !

Pozdro. :)

  • @RojefSB Londyn jest super - ogromy ilość możliwości .... tyle ludzie, fajne miesce...

  • I am a native warsawer - I can assure all those who don't live in a big city - it's not a paradise - no profit nor comfort

  • (english)Warsaw-(Polish)Warszawa

    me is polish ;P

  • wow it looks like a mix of America and Europe with thus modern sky killer building and the classic ones

  • rhtjrtbgrtopipioiogoinion;obgtonbgon;bgobgtogonbobu

  • kocham te miasto <3

  • I never though about visiting Warsaw but after seeing this I would love to visit

  • i moved to warsaw a few months ago and i don't regret. very friendly city with lots of beautiful places... it's good to be here.

  • Polish NY just better, and giel are slimer, preeter

  • I"ve been to Warsaw, it is a beautiful city. But the monuments and all the plaques on every corner regarding WWII is alittle overkill.

  • @FFFFbody because warsaw was the real slaughterhouse in 1944 - we must remind people of what has been doing here a few decades ago.

  • @tomidlak Who is "we"? I see your from Oosterich but say "we" as if your Polish.

  • @FFFFbody no, i'm just sitting at home in the old town of warsaw and i'm polish.

  • @tomidlak I see. Well, I didn't mean any disrepect in my original post. Warsaw is nice, and I really like how the women "bounce" when they walk.

  • @tomidlak By the way, do you live near Kwitnaca street? I have a friend that lives near there (Michal)

  • Warszawa:)

  • greetings from japan

  • Fabulous!

Świetna robota i mega reklama dla naszej Stolicy!

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO !!

FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY TO POLAND !!

    FROM BRAZIL.

  • @fabio363 W rzeczywistości demokracja przeczy wolności. Democracy is the antithesis of freedom.

  • warsaw shouldn be like this i guess

  • why are they building a huge mosque in warsaw? to attract a million pakis

  • @sambo2566 this is not a mosque, but shopping center (Blue City)

  • ohh I forgot ... They really are building a mosque

  • @hempbeat who are they building a mosque for in a 98% catholic country? its to open the door of poland to tens of thousands of islamic militants like we have in the uk

  • @sambo2566 I here you ya old soccer hooligan. Muslims are the scum of the Earth. It's too bad London is full of them. You once had a beautiful country (all of Europe, actually) but now is being invaded by ape-men Muslims. And it's too bad the U.S. is about 30 years behind you guys. Eventually we'll have that trash too.

  • @FFFFbody i agree, the uk is fucked now the e.u is trying to fuck poland

  • @sambo2566 Those damn Muslims, too bad the Crusaders didn't wipe them off the face of the Earth. I don't know of anything Islam/Muslims have contributed to world civilization other than: anger, hatred, oil, and AIDS. Oh wait, they contributed in the field of Math. They gave us the number "0". How fitting. Do you know anything that they contributed?

  • @FFFFbody the burka, stoning to death and benifit scrounging

  • @FFFFbody geez you should see Birmingham theres a whole area with them no British people in that part

  • No widać że Warszawa jest coraz ,,wyższa''.No oby tak dalej a moze kiedys dogonimy takie panstwa jak Frankfurt czy Paryz

  • @filipekt123

  • hey guys i'm american i was born and raised in texas but im russial ethnically.. hehe i've been to europe many times and u know i'm kinda confused whether u warsawers are still communists and whether warsaw is part of soviet union or part of european republic... i'm not really good at geog, so i think u'r like a province in soviet union, and ur capital, city of poland, is daaamn good u know. while the rest of country is still in the medieval age, anyway warsaw is a nice country though

  • @SuperRussian4life hmmm...communism collapsed over 20 years ago...Poland was never part of Soviet Union,it was a seperate country under Soviet part of influence..Since 1999 Poland is part of NATO and since 2004 EU member...With all do respect...go back to school or ask about it someone who knows current European situation.PS>I used to live in TX( now I live in NYC) and I suspect u really cannot be so uninformed.ohh Europe is a continent,Poland a country with it's capital City - Warsaw.

  • @seb25us I'm not sure they can learn such things in school in that country

  • @SuperRussian4life you are wrong, go to school

  • @SuperRussian4life you say you don't know (or not sure),

this is is place for sharing - in comments - what you know, actually,

instead of this you give us next proofe how Americans are stupid, uneducadet and ignorant, bad publicity for your nation

  • @VChapaev no one invites you here

  • @VChapaev alien building

  • though I live in Warsaw and these are pics from there sometimes I felt they are from somewhere else, just good photos, Warsaw need a LOOOOT of refurbishment and never will be as beautiful as before war ......at least Old Town is done

  • @MsAppleeater also they need to do that train station by palac kultury because it looks like an awful 70s building and no im not a hater of Warsaw because im half Polish and proud Warsaw is my half city :-)

  • @Annihilator1111 They do now:)

  • I will be here in less then a day

  • sounds like james bond

  • already ruined by the e,u, on a recent visit i was tripping over blacks and asians all day it will soon be like london where white men are as rare as rocking horse shit

  • @sambo2566 nie pierdol glupot rasisto

  • @adamvmax say what you like its the truth

  • @sambo2566: over 97% of population in Poland are native Poles and it isn't changing. Thanks God we don't have a problem of minorities. Most of those black and asians are tourists. Of course there are some foreigners living in Warsaw, but in most cases the're businessmans, engineers etc.

  • @NatejGA the e.u will make it change they now control your borders and will send millions of scroungers into poland as they have done in the uk

  • @NatejGA in Warsaw we have minority, they are not foreigners

  • Piekne miasto ;) Zaprszam na moj filmik! (beautiful city! See my movie about it ;) )

  • Love Polskaa!!!!!!!!

PRL sie skonczyl i duzo sie zmienilo, kolego ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @totaus jeszzcze jedno - ja spotkalem sie z samymi pozytywnymi odczuciami obcokrajowcow ;). Wezmy Londyn - wieczny deszcz i brzydka pogoda i to nie stereotyp... ja wpadlbym tam w depresje ;) i zyl jedynie w lato. Znajoma wyprowadzila sie do Niderlandow i dostaje tam wariacji.

    chcialabym tam kiedys pozwiedzac

Nowego Świata, my jesteśmy starą dobrą Europą a nie Nowym Jorkiem

  • @usresidentsarestupid zazdroscisz? ;d Sam piszesz, jak typowy, sfrustrowany wiesniak, wiec mam nadzieje, ze nas nigdy nie odwiedzisz, bo jeszcze sie zakochasz, przeprowadzisz i bedziemy wtedy mieli powod do wstydu ;p

  • @zvenLI - o to mozesz sie nie bac. Powody przedstawione w poprzednim poscie.

  • The Palace of Culture and Science is one of my favorite buildings, it has such a unique design.

  • @EdikShepherd brrrrrr

  • it makes me to think about NY.

  • @slipkn9t brrrr again, one building from Moscow next to it a'la NY.....real schizophrenia

  • I was in Krakow 2 years ago, was beautiful.

  • Nice city

  • nice video nice music and i want to go to Warsaw
