There was nothing just ruins. And Our men/women/children rebuilt the old town and loads of other places. I mean Warsaw is a beautiful city with a long history in a country with a Long history. I am Polish and im very proud of My Country and the City I Live in.
wow Poland actually have a city, compare that to my home country Portugal and its really hard to find buildings that big in Lisbon/Lisboa. Poland and Portugal are good friends aswell :)

That is my home town, here I was born. But despite all warm feelings while watching this video, comes on my mind that yellowish water in the tap. Why? I have heard there is still a problem. I think Warsaw has a style. It does not have the atmosphere as has Kraków, Wrocław or Gdańsk but there is something. Increasingly more - much more so than 15 years ago in my opinion.

I'm from Krakow myself but Warsaw is the city I'm amazed with. Every time I'm there walking on the streets I look out for the remainders of history and feel great respect to the place that it has witnessed so many heroic deeds and tragic moments.
Warsaw is like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

the pictures arent warsaw but some eastern asian countries. I been to downtown warsaw, and i gotta tell ya, there only few 3 story old buildings not high rises you see in these pictures. Warsaw is a 3rd world city, full of poverty and crime.

how much it´s change I was in warsaw for the first time in 1968 and the last in 1977. I would love to go back to Poland and see it again, Always had the time of my life there.
I think that all Poles should be proud of Warsaw.It was completely destroyed during the second world war and now it's one of the fastest growing cities in Europe.I've never been to Poland though,I'd love to!

@sambo2566: over 97% of population in Poland are native Poles and it isn't changing. Thanks God we don't have a problem of minorities. Most of those black and asians are tourists. Of course there are some foreigners living in Warsaw, but in most cases the're businessmans, engineers etc.

Tak samo twiedza turysci (zagraniczni) opisujacy W-we w Tripadvisor. Niestety... jest mi z tego powodu smutno i wstyd.. i jednoczesnie wiem jak tu sie zyje, np dojazd do pracy zajmuje czasem 2 godziny.. :/

W NYC przejedziesz autem przez dzielnice Bronx i mozesz dostac autentycznie kulke, bo tam mieszka zupelna patologia, co u nas jest abstrakcja w wiekszosci. I'm from Krakow myself but Warsaw is the city I'm amazed with. Every time I'm there walking on the streets I look out for the remainders of history and feel great respect to the place that it has witnessed so many heroic deeds and tragic moments.
Warsaw is like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

the pictures arent warsaw but some eastern asian countries. I been to downtown warsaw, and i gotta tell ya, there only few 3 story old buildings not high rises you see in these pictures. Warsaw is a 3rd world city, full of poverty and crime.

I think that all Poles should be proud of Warsaw.It was completely destroyed during the second world war and now it's one of the fastest growing cities in Europe.I've never been to Poland though,I'd love to!

@tomidlak po prostu takie mam zdanie na ten temat i jest ono moje, nie dorobione, widziałam stolice europejskie i pozaeuropejskie, centrum W-wy nie wygląda na Europę, gdzies tu na youtube widziałam filmik stolice europy, spotkałam się z komentarzami że zdjecie W-wy jest pomylone z jakimś ameryk. miastem a było autentyczne, jak pierwszy raz widziałam drapacze też byłam ujarana, ale widziało się świata i.......podróże kształcą

@sambo2566: over 97% of population in Poland are native Poles and it isn't changing. Thanks God we don't have a problem of minorities. Most of those black and asians are tourists. Of course there are some foreigners living in Warsaw, but in most cases the're businessmans, engineers etc.

@zvenLI niestety sie mylisz ;) nie mam zadnych kompleksow, mieszkam tu cale zycie, urodzila sie tu moja rodzina, nawet moja prababcia (ale to nie wazne..) oczywiscie wszystko jest wzgledne, ja porownuje W-we z innymi miastami (stolicami) Europy i to po prostu jest kicha..pod kazdym wzgledem. Tak samo twiedza turysci (zagraniczni) opisujacy W-we w Tripadvisor. Niestety... jest mi z tego powodu smutno i wstyd.. i jednoczesnie wiem jak tu sie zyje, np dojazd do pracy zajmuje czasem 2 godziny.. :/

@totaus ale przesadziles, Warszawa nie jest jakas brudna... Podziemia wiadomo, mozna byloby zrobic, dworzec tez, ale ogolnie nie zyje sie zle :). Szczerze, to kazda stolica ma w sobie cos do zarzucenia. Patrzac tak mozna uznac, ze swiat jest obrzydliwy heh ;). W NYC przejedziesz autem przez dzielnice Bronx i mozesz dostac autentycznie kulke, bo tam mieszka zupelna patologia, co u nas jest abstrakcja w wiekszosci. Moim marzeniem sa Hawaje/Miami, ale puki co stolica nie jest najgorsza ;)

Wezmy Londyn - wieczny deszcz i brzydka pogoda i to nie stereotyp... ja wpadlbym tam w depresje ;) i zyl jedynie w lato. Znajoma wyprowadzila sie do Niderlandow i dostaje tam wariacji. No Warszawa naprawdę już jest prawdziwą Europą, takie wieżowce, jakich nie ma nawet w wielu stolicach Europy. A co w takich Kielcach jest?
Przed wojną w stolicy były też piękne budowle jak np. w Bukareszcie, ale Szkopy wszystko zniszczyły.
