"immigration reform" or amnesty would cause welfare and unemployment problems in this country to skyrocket. companies in the united states hire illegals because they dont have to pay them the same wages as americans, so legalizing illegals would force companies to either fire half of the people they cant afford to pay, or just fire them all for other illegals instead of paying minimum wage. amnesty would send millions of people into unemployment as well as make them eligible for welfare.

It's sad that the NASW blindly bashes the Arizona bill. They do not consider the people harmed by illegal immigrants. Very one sided and close minded. Sad.

@MrGrevy She's dead wrong about the children. Children are extremely resilient, and she is overly negative. She gives other social workers a bad name.
