  • hi there can you say what size ring you have I have same camera as you I have 3x9x50 scope

  • I think it's one of those Sony nightshot cameras

  • Whats the camera

  • Ive just tryed this with my IPhone and a IR tourch and it didnt work. Why not?? :-(

  • @Adam151082 The Iphone isnt infrared compatible!

  • can anyone tell me how to wire the ir lamp to the flashlight? thanks

  • hey! nice work

tell mi how you know the distance or range of the ir lamp?

and how much meters you can use it

im from argentina sorry mi english is terrible ja ja

  • how did u wire up the torch to the ir led unit what distance do u get awesome cheap idea

  • lol how far can you see with that****?

  • much better way to do this is to buy the smallest camera not video came which has a night mode stick it the scope then get a normal every day torch led or halogen and put a simple infrared filter on it which is just a bit of plastic which will cost about 50p the night mode on camera will pick up the infrared light which the filte emits whole thing should cost u £20 maxxxxx now suck my balls bitches

  • thats fuckin tight

  • Would a Canon PowerShot A570 IS be able to do this?

  • in ebay it kosts around 19€ right? in that same guys onlineshop it is only 15€ or something like that

  • I have a question, how do you produce infrared light if you camera dosen't have one?

  • You need a camera that will work in the IR spectrum like a Sony camcorder with nightshot and to get any distance you need an IR illuminator

  • That is so cool. I have a 243. rifle but i dont wont to try this in case i break the scope. The scope lone cost $1200 :p

  • did you have any problems focusing? i mean, do you zoom all the way out or do you zoom in until the scope sights fit the cameras window?

  • Hi I zoom the camera in until the scope sights fit the cameras window.

  • hey thanks alot. really nice vid by the way.

  • No problem, thanks

  • please make more vids thats awesome!!

    you are a genius!

  • Using sony camcorder DCR-SR32

  • do you need a camcorder with a CCD lens ?

im thinking of getting a samsung VP-MX10 to give this a try.

  • thats just the most ingenious thing ive ever seen id love to do this with my hw100t its just having the time to do it il stick to my lamp for now lol

  • you have done a good job.

can you explain to me how you had fixed the lens adaptor ring to te camera?

i haven' t a camera and have to do this work with the camera of a friend....

the adaptor ring is always included with the camera?

    excuse my english..... ;)

  • Hi the Sony camcorder has a thread to screw wide angle lens or filters, I think most cameras will have this but the Sony has night shot and works with infrared light. I glued one adaptor to the scope and used another adaptor of the correct size to bring them together. If you can fit an adaptor ring to your scope by glue (some resin type glue) that matches your camera that means you will only need one adaptor ring. Your English is good :)

  • thank you ;)

  • looks like im not the only one who plays with infrared video, using home made illuminators,

    nice job..

  • nice.... my cam isnt small enough to fit like that... the eyepiece is higher than my scope sits :( im gona have to fix something up

  • you could mount your camera upside down mate, it makes no difference to what you will view, only what you record will be upside down, easily changed with windows movie maker.

  • your a genius MAN!!! i didnt even think about that

  • Cubleycat, and SniperTaffy, how much adjustment is there to shooting with the scope and camera rigs? Did you pick it up right away, or, does it take a while?

  • Hi, SniperTaffy has a different setup to me he has ags tactical swat 3 - 12 x 44 sidewheel focus scope, with a yukon digital ranger monocular nv unit clamped to the eyebell. Then you focus the two together he told me and he plugs a recording device into the yukon digital ranger monocular nv unit, clever stuff and not cheap but its worth it for him.

  • I have a sony camcorder with NV and look at the monitor which gives off some light so I wear a black hat and scarf pulled up over my face and the rats don't seem to be bothered. Its strange to start with but you soon get used to looking at the monitor much like a video game I guess.

  • like a video game, maybe 'rat raider', instead of 'tomb raider'.

  • i picked the new style up easily. it helps that my rifle is recoil free. with my setup i only have to raise my eye about 3 or 4 inches.

  • Hi, do you find the view-cam lights your face up in the dark, showing rats where you are ?

  • Yes it is bright but if you wear a hat and scarf or balaclava they don't see you.

By the way you remember I was concerned about them suffering its nothing compared to some videos on youtube where they have used glue traps that is cruel if you read the ABOUT THIS VIDEO I have put some links to them

  • Ive seen those vids. They are very cruel if they are not used properly. The user has to { by law } inspect the glue board trap at least twice a day, dispatching any rodents. You must look like a I.R.A. hit-man with your balaclava and rifle. You should post a foto, could be the new spring look fashion..

  • Yes I have been told I look like a terrorist already LOL.

  • thanks for the info great job
