  • One of the all time greats and one of my major early influences as a harp player. I've been doing You Done Tore Your Playhouse Down virtually every gig for over 40 years.

  • Love it... :))

  • There's good players out there, there's great players out there, but no one blows harp like Biscuit. Simply the best........................

  • the best ......skin was white , soul was black.

  • Someone said "underrated"... too true....

  • The first time I ever bought a record, I bought "Gooduns" and the Thelonious Monk. Still love Newell!

  • Out in the street late last night,

I had three hundred dollars, I was feelin' alright

Looked in my pocket 'bout 15 past 3

All I had was a nickle and a key..........

KBB off "Badly Bent" Best of King Biscuit Boy

This is a must have recording !

Live off the floor, mistakes included, rip your face off !

Might be hard to find but it's worth the search and the cost

    if you love your blues.

  • This is a beautiful track. KBB was an incredibly energetic and exciting harp player/singer- one of my favorites. And that band!

  • the stones loved him

  • I am proud to be one of the possible three owners of Gooduns in the Netherlands...

  • King Biscuit Boy left us way too soon. He would have enjoyed this resurgence of the blues that is happening right now.

  • Newell was the best blues artist Canada ever had. Simply incredible. I stll have "Gooduns" in the gunnysack sleeve it came in and of all the blues albums in my collection I still say it's the best.

  • @DuncanWells Newell was the best the world ever had

  • @jte1974 LOL...sounds like you're a fan. I still see BB as king but I have to say, on a world wide scale, Newell is the most under-rated. I played in a band that did the Barefoot Rock and it's never failed to get the audience on their feet. And to think he's just a skinny white guy. :)

  • Geezer, Biscuit was allright.

  • I bought the Official Music album back in the 70's and recently found it on CD at Amazon. Highly recommend it to a anybody who loves this music.

King Biscuit is dead now, but his music deserves to live on

  • @NightDog2 I remember buying that album back in the 70s came in a faux gunny sack, Peace

  • great track !!

  • Excellent track FG...You know your stuff Man...
