  • A young Irene Handl.

  • Rape time.

  • "We`re looking for a little lost properteh".

  • Mrs. Wilson...you're an ignorant, selfish slut.

  • DI Fittemup carries out a pre-Warrant inspection.

  • My fave funny part was "Hey George, serve this kid." I love the expression on the girl's face.

  • It is a beatiful thing to see, a people telling their own stories.

  • well "very funny" it isn't. But it's a swell artifact and Robert Morley's appearance is not only a surprise but fun.

  • Not to sound cheeky, but this is a "very funny film"?

It makes it's point, and it's a good one, but I don't see the humor. Maybe it's because I'm a thirty year old Yank and just don't get it. Ah well, this is why I like BFI Films, I watch them & I just may not know what's going on, which is nice every once in a while.

  • Exactly what George Orwell wrote about.

  • Hey that dog looks like Asta

  • Looks like him - bit not like him! Asta would never have let the criminal get away with the crime whereas this dog is useless (though cute). Great film, though. Love the cameo from Robert Morley.

  • Bit of surrealism there at the end...

    Charles Laughton, eh?

  • robert morley,not laughton. and i agree!

  • Cute dog

  • Gotta love karma...
