I use the same tools the developers used in the real game. It's called Face Poser. It's included in the Source SDK which can be downloaded for free off Steam. I do all the facial expressions and lip movements in that and then I bring it all over to Garry's Mod. All the characters are in it, including Magnusson.

As long as you have the latest versions of everything Dr. Magnusson and all the other Orange Box characters should be available to you in both Garry's Mod and Face Poser. To get him in face poser you have to specify that you want to use the Orange Box version of the source engine.

I used Face Poser which is included in the Source Engine's developer tools, a free download off of steam. Face Poser allows you to add lip movements, hand motions, and facial expressions to any half-life character. Half-Life 2 is an excellent game for this because as far as I know it is the only game that doesn't require you to manually add lip movements yourself. All you need is an audio file and the software analyzes it for you and generates lip movements. Then I bring it in to Garry's Mod
