Even though the backwards compatibility status does say that this game for PS2 won't work on older PS3 models with PS2 backwards compatibility, I still have this game for PS2 and it does work on my old PS3 because I do remember trying it out and I think it did work. So I don't know why it wouldn't work for some reason. Too bad I can't play PS2 games though on my new PS3. I have another PS3 as well, the new 160 GB PS3 Slim, but it won't play PS2 games though. They'll only work on my old PS3.
This game is the best and it's one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh! games I've ever played too. It's so awesome. I still have this game too for my PS2 and I still play it sometimes too every once in a while. I believe that this game may be backwards compatible on my old PS3 console too. I have an old 80 GB PS3 console that has limited PS2 backwards compatibility and I do remember trying this game on my old PS3 and I think it worked. I might try it again though soon sometime just to make sure.
This game is the 138th best-selling PS2 game in history.
This game is awesome. Also remember, this is a card game. I don't think it's that easy to make a card video game so great. Yu-Gi-Oh in my opinion is the best card game ever made. Screw you UNO.

I'm not sure why, but for some reason when I went to Wikipedia from before, I saw a PS3 backwards compatibility list article page featuring PS1 and PS2 games backwards compatible on the PS3 and for some reason, it said that this game here wasn't compatible on the old 80GB PS3 model. I don't know why it would be like that. I have the 80GB PS3 model and I've tried this game before on it and it has worked. So I'm 100% confident that this game works on my PS3. I've tried it before and it works fine.
@KenMeister1357 Does it definatly work, because i might try and get hold of this game via ebay if i cannot find it, if it don't work on my ps3 ill just buy a ps2 :3
@x3MagneticFire I have this game for PS2 and I do remember trying it out on my old PS3 console and it did work too. However, according to the backwards compatibility list at Wikipedia, they said that for some reason this game for PS2 isn't backwards compatible on the PS3, but I've tried this game already on my PS3 and it did work. I still have an old PS2 console and I also have the old 80 GB PS3 model with the limited PS2 backwards compatibility. So most of my PS2 games will work on my PS3.
This game rocks! I still have this game for PS2 too and I still enjoy playing it every now and again. I ended up with two copies of the same game though for PS2 and I got them both from GameStop. The reason why I got two copies was because the first copy of this game that I got worked well and all, but it didn't include the original case or the game manual for it either. The second copy that I purchased from GameStop, however, came in its original casing and it included a useful game manual too.
Great video and awesome intro too. This game rocks and I still have this game too for PS2. It's still such a great game and it's just as good almost as "Yu-Gi-Oh!: Forbidden Memories" for PS1 which is another great Yu-Gi-Oh! game that I have as well. I still have "Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Duelists of the Roses" for PS2, it's backwards compatible on my PS3, and I still like to play this every now and again even though it does seem a little complex. It seems like a really great Yu-Gi-Oh! game.
this game was the shit back in the day. For me mainly because it was one of the few Yugioh games that showed the monsters in cgi instead of just the cards
i remember rushing home from school with my friends just to play this game ahhh so many old memories invole some part of this game wish they had a seqeul
the music made this game so much more awesome. i looooooove.

Eu lembrei que eu comprei esse jogo, ele estragou, e nunca mais o vi, sinto tanta falta dele....
P.S.: eu até hoje não sei como eu liberei as animações dos duelos...
P.S.2: esse é o melhor jogo de yu-gi-oh! jamais feito, Duelists Of The Roses forever!

I wish Konami did the same thing with Yugioh GX and Yugioh 5ds, that would be super, ultra, mega cool.
