I just wanted to say that this exact video triggered my esting disorder in June of 2007. And I still have it. I was 13 years old. I didn't even know what "thinspiration" was. I simply googled the lyrics to this song, and this vid came up, Now guess what? I am in the hospital sever times per year, I am in and out of in patient and out patient treatment. I will, forever, be ion death's doorstep because this video triggered lifelong anorexia for me. Because of that, I am flagging this video.
I suffer from drinking beer and it's got a big grip on me...I feel the pain of everyone who suffers from this disease. It has to be similar to mine. I'm becoming teary-eyed just typing this because it's real and I understand that. I will pray tonight for anyone who asks me to. My prayers I believe are answered in this life or the next. I completely agree with the "just stop" thing , your right it isn't easy to just stop but I know that it is possible. If you ever wanted to stop or start recovering than you can. Nothing is impossible, just remember that. I am so much happier now that I'm in recovery and it wasn't easy, but it was worth it :)

If you'd said "anorectic" I wouldn't have corrected you, even though that spelling stopped being common in the fifties. "Anoretic" has no etymological foundation. Sorry but it's wrong.

As a man, I find none of these girls attractive. In fact the idea that these girls think that men want them to look like this is a horrifying idea. Also, quite frankly for someone to make a video and call it "thinspiration" sickens me. You are the only people to press this idea of perfection on yourselves. I think it's not necessarily to do with how men see them, I think it's to do with how they think people want to see them. They see thinness as attractiveness, which I am saying is not true. I never intended to say that as a man I am right, I'm just saying it's videos like this give people a false ideal of attractiveness. Also, I would see it as an addiction more so than a mental illness. But that's just from my experience.
Sure, it can be for different reasons and sometimes it could be about looks, but usually that isn't what it's about at all. It could be a reaction from a random event in life, a need for control, or wanting to disapear.
It is classified as a mental illness though, and between 5 to 20% of people die from it. It's a serious disease, not just girls trying to look a certain way so people will like them.

I'm also pretty sure videos like this don't affect people with healthy minds. It's only after you've been starving for a while that you think you need to be that thin. That's how it was for me anyway.
My sister is anorexic i hope that she is strong enough to survive it i help her so good i can but i am not old enough to say "do this do that" its really hard for all family friends an the girls/boys too i hope that everybody think about that and this girls have problems at home with family etc. Well its the easiest way to say "THIS GILRS WANT TO BE SLIM AND NOW SHE NEED GET THE STEWARDSHIP!" but trust me every girl that is anrexic need help from everyone....

sure its dangerous.. but "pro ana" is actually made for people who already suffer from anorexia or bulimia.. its not telling girls or boys to become ana/mia it just helps sick people to make the "best" out of their lives. sure its the wrong way but without "thinspiration" they wouldnt stop so it actually doesnt matter.. thinspiration is just an item they use to reach their goal.. they would reach it anyway... and "not-anas" shouldnt watch it

I can see where you got "anoretic" but it's still wrong. The name anorexia comes from greek - "An" meaning not, none, and "orexia" meaning eating or consuming. Now the greek character represented as "x" in anorexia is sometimes also written as "ct", so it is sometimes spelled "anorectia". If you'd said "anorectic" I wouldn't have corrected you, even though that spelling stopped being common in the fifties. "Anoretic" has no etymological foundation. Sorry but it's wrong.

I searched for this song on youtube, and unfortunately this was the first result.
As a man, I find none of these girls attractive. In fact the idea that these girls think that men want them to look like this is a horrifying idea. Also, quite frankly for someone to make a video and call it "thinspiration" sickens me. You are the only people to press this idea of perfection on yourselves. Go see a therapist and sort yourselves out before you die of malnutrition.

As a man you should probably get over yourself. Why is that always the first thought when a girl wants to be thin? The whole world doesn't revolve around men.
Oh, and most of the time, it doesn't even have anything to do with being thin either. You did know it's a mental illness, right? Everyone's reason for it is different, but I doubt very many have anything to do with men.

I think it's not necessarily to do with how men see them, I think it's to do with how they think people want to see them. They see thinness as attractiveness, which I am saying is not true. I never intended to say that as a man I am right, I'm just saying it's videos like this give people a false ideal of attractiveness. Also, I would see it as an addiction more so than a mental illness. But that's just from my experience.

Sure, it can be for different reasons and sometimes it could be about looks, but usually that isn't what it's about at all. It could be a reaction from a random event in life, a need for control, or wanting to disapear.
It is classified as a mental illness though, and between 5 to 20% of people die from it. It's a serious disease, not just girls trying to look a certain way so people will like them.

My sister is anorexic i hope that she is strong enough to survive it i help her so good i can but i am not old enough to say "do this do that" its really hard for all family friends an the girls/boys too i hope that everybody think about that and this girls have problems at home with family etc. Well its the easiest way to say "THIS GILRS WANT TO BE SLIM AND NOW SHE NEED GET THE STEWARDSHIP!" but trust me every girl that is anrexic need help from everyone....

sure its dangerous.. but "pro ana" is actually made for people who already suffer from anorexia or bulimia.. its not telling girls or boys to become ana/mia it just helps sick people to make the "best" out of their lives. sure its the wrong way but without "thinspiration" they wouldnt stop so it actually doesnt matter.. thinspiration is just an item they use to reach their goal.. they would reach it anyway... and "not-anas" shouldnt watch it
