Although little Charles (Wenceslas in this time) spent his childerhood in France, he spoke Czech (besides other languages) and in fact, Czechia was his homeland. There were all premises to his love for the Czech lands.
Charles IV made a lot for Prague, but it wasn't only him who made it so beutiful.
