I agree They should buy the faubourg building and make sure only students are allowed to enter it.
I have to admit though since I started going to concordia the spaces new and old are really starting to look amazing! they are always making new things happen!

Concordia needs to buy the Faubourg Sainte- Catherine soon because the university still does not have adequate student space for their students to hang out. Concordia desparately needs a large student centre! Every other large university in Canada has far superior facilities (eg. student centre, athletics complex) to encourage student life.

What you describe would more apply to the Loyola campus, but since SGW is downtown they can't really do much since they are limited in space contrary to Loyola.
