Really great job on the blades, it looks like you have excellent efficiency for your blade diameter, Im trying the same thing, and i hope to post a video soon, but i cant quite find the appropriate motor, if i may, what kind did you use? Thanks. solar.
I managed to get 30.4 watts out of this yesterday, at 9 volts and 3.4 amps. The motor is actually from a small water pump from a sailboat. Unfortunately, the voltage is not high enough to charge 12 volt batteries, so I charge AA's. My rpm at 30.4 watts was about 3000 rpm. The blade diameter was 30" and they were made on a cnc machine so they are pretty much perfect. I would look for treadmill motors, since they are permanent magnet and usually higher voltage. And go with about a 30-48"dia.
