i wonder what would happen if they became independent. does anyone think they will join the bhutanese kingdom, since they have the same writing and i think the same traditions? im not sure if they speak the same though.
@rr33463 They share the same script but Bhutanese is sufficiently different that Tibetans do not understand it. Why should they become independent just to join another country? These two countries are not more in common than the U.S. and Canada...

This one is maybe Rgyalrongic(ChiaRuer) language.
Rgyalrongic language, Qiang language words or Mandarin words were imported a lot.
ChiaRuer Located east side of Dadu_river(rgyal rong rgyal mo rngul chu) in Sichuan.
Han, Qiang, ChiaRuer live together from at least 8th century.

It won't happen. It will destroy Tibetan economy, the economy China has given them, Tibetans (even nomadic) prosper from Chinese occupation.
