Well... I happen to be French... I just love V.O., I hate watching series in french (dubbed I mean ) but I must acknowledge that Pam's french voice is much more husky... I just love Dallas in English but... Pam is to be slapped!! She sounds like a "Cinderella" s mouse!!
Pam WAS greatly reduced to almost a secondary character by this time and it most evident in this storyline.You can almost SEE Vicki's thought bubble @ 1:33. Still, due to generally more exciting storylines(Thanks to PD returning),and a back to basics theme, season 9 is THE season fans cannot wait for.

If you watch Season 7, the season before the Dream Season, the whole idea was Bobby Ewing was going out in a blaze of glory. Once he came back, and they reset that storyline - it was like yeah Bobby and Pam love each other, but they shouldn't be together. And the whole idea was they weren't going to be.
Bobby and Pam belong together. I can't stand the pairing of Pam and Mark during season 8. Pam acted like Bobby didn't even exist at all when she reconciled with Mark soo fast after Bobby "died".
i agree that theres nothing more to do with her but i missed her in the show she was a really good actress and i liked that he was married to a Barnes ..

Bobby, Ray, Cliff, Jock, JR, Clayton, etc. were always boozing it up (and of course, Sue Ellen) but Pam was the one who really needed some alcohol on a steady basis. She's always bitching about something. Lighten up!!
