Anyone who just finished listening to such a beautiful rendition by Diana Ross of Home would know that the movie might not have done well in the box office due to bad script writing and bad sets. Any idiot out there who just listened to this and can still say that is on crack. :)

Are you on insane? Diana Ross was too old (42 at the time) to be playing a 15 year old Dorothy, lol. Stephanie Mills, made Dorothy in The Wiz believable, a runaway success on Broadway, was the right age for the part and she sang 'Home' better than anyone ever could or ever will, end of story!

Diana Ross was nothing more than a greedy aging hasbeen out to steal the spotlight like she did with the Supremes in the 60's.

Stephanie Mills should have gotten the role along with a better cast overall, better script, better production values, better producers and director and no Michael Jackson or Nipsy Russell. When I think of what might have been, it's just sad.

@stationranger Get real! Have you actually watched the movie? The reason it flopped was because of poor direction, an ugly set, and a bizarre badly-written script. The only saving graces were Ross and the music.

Most people that have money are not charged with anything it does not mean they didn't do it, HELLO! Just think how you might feel if micheal was white, and those were black and very young kids he was sleeping with after drinking his wine! Could only be ok with you if it was your familys kids sleeping with him after tanking them up for a rub down? too too bad race is the factor here! Love Diana Ross, but Her remake of this song in 1998 was 200% better, and this Lady can song, but "Micheal Jackson in Heaven?" hope there r no little kids, or that God is keeping them safe, and away from what Micheal called Jesus juice. I Do hope and pray, He had time to make it right with GOD, before His untimely death, for doing some good deads will not get you in Heaven!
