  • nice dog but 55 kg aint that much my grandpas rott was 71 kg

  • @1337Ozey It's perfect for his height and length. If he would have weight 70 kg, he would be fat ;-)

  • @1337Ozey 71 kg, is a fat and unhealty rottie, bettween 45 and 55 are the standar, alwasy depend on size but a healty rott will never weight 71 kg

  • @1337Ozey Ghu...ghu... cough...

  • No, he is still healthy and good ;-) Just celebrated his 7 years :-)

  • He didnt pass away at 6 did he? i thought lifespan was at least 10-15 yrs? my condolences if he did pass....

  • like all dogs a rottweiler should be treated like a member of the family with the same love and respect,,they will test you in the beginning its in their nature but after they learn right from wrong just like a human, they will truly show you true love and devotion you are everything to them and treat them with the same love they treat you with.

  • so very cool you let him have his tail, great vid I wish my rotts had gotten that big.

  • Get a bitch - they're much keener and more protective and not always disappearing to find a mate!

  • I have always wanted one thats the reason i want one right now. The thing is that I wasn't really sure what kind of care they required. A Rottweiler seems like a dog who isn't scared to attack a stranger and thats exactly what i want. It is going to be a family dog. Taking it out for walks isn't really a problem i have a dog park right in front of my house, and I didn't want a female i thought a male would be a better choice is it a huge difference between the two?

  • My Rottweiler is a 120lb male & he is my first dog. The love you will have for your dog will far out weigh any inconveniences or cost, but be prepared for black hairs on everything from your tv screen to your bathtub. A small hassle but totally worth it.

  • @Vancity04King males are alot more dominant and females have mood swings and periods...

  • oh :\ but i want to have a house dog, and i dont mind it being dominant im going to be training it so it should be obedient

  • @Vancity04King id say a male for you but i would rather a female

  • @Vancity04King

Really it depends on how you raise the dog, the best thing you can do if its your first time owning a Rottwieler is take it to group obeidence classes so the dog can get socialized and both you and your dog can learn. If you wan't a dog to take the dog park definatley spay or neuter your dog, a lot of people will bring dogs that are in season there and the unneutered males usually start fights over the females.

  • Hey i want to get one of these but the thing is that i haven't ever had a dog before and i just wanted to know, what kind of care the require. I also wanted to know about housing them and their hair getting inside the house just the usual stuff. Please let me know Thanx :)

  • Hey! If you haven't had a dog before, you probably should be very sure to get one. It will be a commitment for many years. They need care like a child. Walk trips in bad and good weather :-) A Rottweiler is a huge and powerfull dog. They know what they want. I don't recommend a male rottie as a first dog. They are very strong and will test you. You need to show them who is the boss. But they are wonderful dogs if you have the control and they are disiplined. They need a lot of exercise.

  • They have a big stamina, so it's not a dog u just let out for a walk in your garden :-)yes, you will get a lot of hair inside from time to time. And they eat a lot. If you feel ready for a Rottweiler and get one, you will not regret. It's a nice and stable dog. Very calm and confident. Good luck ;-)

  • @goliathbirdeater yuuuup! totaly true! btw, beautiful dog!^^

  • i like the tails on them

  • Still find the tails weird on them. I have one that's 3, and one whos 4 years of age. Both have docked tails, I cant image the carnage they'd make it they had full tails.

Reminds me so much of Ben, the 3 yr old. Shame people are so afraid of them initially.

    The puppy photos are great!

  • Check out coldplay

  • @GODSOUL33 Speed of sound :-)

  • Thanks for the reply goliathbirdeater,

I am really happy to see guys like yourself putting vids like this on youtube, there are some hard ass vids showing them after being trained wrong way and thats all it is it could of been Kerr or Nero in them but although people are coming round to the fact if the dog is trained well it will be a friendly fun dog or if trained by a nasty prick the dog will end up follwing his masters ways leaving the poor dog and breed with a bad rep, u 2 have fun cheers

  • @kenmac77 thanx

  • Thanks for the reply goliathbirdeater,

  • now that's a wonderful dog that you have - and btw nice views there too

  • Thank you! ;-)

  • 4:16 - a bear!?great looking dog, looks like a great place for a dog to live too

  • What a smasher! if you ever up in Edinburgh give me a shout as my Rottie Kerr 7months old loves playing with bigger dogs hes 35kg, I dont want to get into a pissing contest but what wieght was Nero at 7 months as everyone says Kerr will be a big boy when he gets older. you can tell Neros a happy chappy have fun. great vid!

  • @kenmac77 Cheers. I don`t remember how heavy he was, but they grow until they`re 3 years old, so I think you gonna have a big rottie ;-)

  • I have a 2 month old rottweiler and his name is Nero too.

  • @pixieMoonGurl Cool. Nice name for a Rottie ;-)

  • i had a 63 kg rottwieller. he was a very good dog. i wish he was still alive.

  • @coltenclark They are the perfect dog amd friend :-)

  • Great video, My Rottie was 78.9 kgs or 173 lbs...An amazing dog and so loyal, and a good guard dog, maybe he was just protecting his bit of turf. But be careful of them as they will every year without fail, try an see who is the boss!

  • @anthonyi69 Wow, that is heavy.... hope he vas tall, or else he would be too heavy ;-) Nero is about 58 cm to his shoulders. And I always give him small hints who is the boss.

  • Goliathbirdeater, you are one of the few people that actually post a real weight of your Rottweiler. Having owned Rottweilers, I know how big 120lbs is. My largest Rottie got to 143lbs and actually made him look like a mastiff/rottie mix. If he were any bigger, he most certainly wouldn't be a Rottie. At the dog park, people would ask me if he weighed 200lbs. People just can't judge weight. Thanks for not exaggerating his weight like every other youtube poster! :-)

  • goliathbirdeater Looking @ what i posted is incorrect, and for that i am sorry. He was 67.7kgs. That was the last time he was weighed at the vets...I understand your concerns about his weight. Allthough i don't have hieght comparrision too his shoulders, i can tell you that i'm 6ft tall and his head came too my hips.I can also say that when i bought him he was 12kgs @ 10 weeks old. He lost 1kg when he left his parents and then put on 1kg a week till he was 52 weeks, weighing 51 kgs...Cheers

  • If you have actually seen a 173lb dog in person, you wouldn't make that claim. Your dog was not not bigger than an Old English Mastiff. If it was, then it wasn't a Rottie.

  • how many lbs. is that??

  • bot 120 lbs

  • @rainmaker1213

    1kg=2.2lbs, that's should help in calculating :)

  • Beautiful Dog, Lovely photos, great video...cheers Mary The Supergranny

  • Thank you!!

  • sooooo ein hübscher und lieber Hund :o)

  • leash him? in the freakin woods?

maybe you are a novice in pet obedience and shouldnt have any dogs ( if you even truly do). just because your dog dont respect you doesnt mean other people dont have control of their dogs.

your a douchebag, i bet this dog would rape your loser pits.

    Me: rottie and pitbull owner

  • Just like I would write, Oscar... :-) I always leash him when I meet people or loose dogs. But in the woods and where I can`t see people walkin they`re dog, he runs free.

  • goliath,

ive never met a subject where so many people claim to be experts like i have in dog training and raising. everybody is an expert without even owning a dog. ( a real dog, not a toy), my 11 month old Rottie knows better than to even dare run up to other people or dogs. and when i say sit, he sits. Ive had dogs run up toward him and he sits and waits for further instruction from me. not because i beat him, because i discipline him, and above all, because i love him, so he trusts me.

  • @oscargurses lol, another asshole who talks shit and lies like a retard, some place you have to have your dog on leash ist the law.... responsible owner thats it... you really are a retarded fuck

  • @pedro85zaneti -- The Rottweiler in this vid is athletic for his size and has a good build, he could probably rape your little Pitbull with his eyes closed.

  • @WildB0i im a pit bull owner and i think the rottweilers r great dogs 2 im actually trying 2 get 1 all im asking u is please dont judge everybody cus of pedro i dont hate rotties and no it will not rape my pits lol but overall not every1 is da same

  • @WildB0i

Who cares what dog can rape what other dog? Do you have dogs just to be better than other people? If so, then that's fucked up.

  • Who are you to say that to me? You obviously didn't see "pedro85zaneti's" comment, as what i said was referring to him.

  • @WildB0i

Pedro's not worth attention mate :)

    Ignore the guy!

  • ur dog is fit as fuckl!!!

  • He is in really good shape ;-)

  • ugly ass tail !!, looks funny like that

  • awesome dog and coldplay speed of sound rocks!!

  • Thank`s :-) Coldplay rocks.....hell yeah! ;-)

  • haha 2:48 loll

  • Damn dat rott is tight... Hes almost all black

  • es un rottweiler precioso, yo tengo uno de 17 meses, me encantan estos maravillosos animales,un saludo desde españa.

  • English please ;-)

  • nice dog man just looks foolish with that tail get it docked!! your spoiling its appearance dude

  • Read further down on comments......and you do not cut off it's tail on a grown rottie!!!

  • yo nero is sick name for a dog. reminds me of devil may cry4

  • Hey!

Nero means black/dark and is perfect name for his dark face ;-)

  • btw i didn't say your dog was bad: )

  • I didn't think so ;-)

  • @goliathbirdeater eg må le flerne ganger her eg....du får hørra d og ;)))

ikje goe nogen av di hehehehe

  • Yes, the frame of the bed is home made. ;-) He likes it a lot!

  • You have a lovely rotty by the way :)

  • Thank you! ;-)

  • In the modern world big tails don't work indoors. In the Uk, since docking restrictions started, the number of rotty's (and other docked breeds, boxers etc) that have been given up by their owners has risen sharply.

I personally would give a rotty a home whether they had a tail or not.

Rotties are one of the most misunderstood dogs in the world. Too many bad owners.

  • docking isn't nice. Some times it is necessary though.

Is should ideally be done when pup is 3 days old, along with the dew claws. At this stage they can't even hear or see and their brains can't compute pain properly. I have witnessed it first hand several times at my vets and would have to say that the pups barely made a sound.

  • how does the tail look funny? i have a rott with the tail and i think its gorgeous even though it knocks down cups and stuff on lower tables lol.

still a baby though like 75 pounds at 7 months!

  • cooooooool roit i love's hm

    5star

  • Thank's! ;-)

  • My cousin lived at a ranch i used to take my dog over there he was a rott when i went he had a chihuahua and a pit they all got along.

they use to fuck up the coyotes over there that was something they where good at.

Rotts are very pertective dogs and hard working too.Nice dog.

  • I think Nero is a beautiful and amazing dog with or without his tail!! absolutely love him thanks for posting the video. everyone is so involved with outter apearances they cant put their own close mindedness aside and just except that its so silly to judge a dog on wether they have a tail or not.lol. it even sounds stupid. i love all dogs regardless and they do not judge us, so please refrain from judging them. much love to all dogs

  • i agree they look much better without tails i am lucky that i got my bitch b4 the ban came in brad uk it does give them a much cleaner look love these dogs

  • looks like my dogs

  • looks strange with a tail

  • LOL ...your rottie looks very silly with a long tail LMAO

  • its not a proper rottweiler until he has his tail chopped.. your a clown mate.. goliathbirdeater your dog rocks bloke..i have one the same build and shaped face but hes crossed with mastiff his tail its the funniest thing about him he was born with it so he keeps it.. best dog in the world just so loving just a big suck!! take care

  • 1:36 he looks like a kinq... :D luv this dog x3

  • :-)) yeah, he think he is a king too....at least a prince ;-) 1:36 is his favorite beach....he enjoys sitting on top of the sandbank and look out for other dogs ;-)

  • What a beautiful Rottweiler. I love his dark colorings. I can tell that he is very loved.

  • Thank you! ;-) He is very special, both color and personality. :-) Lika a bear!

  • its not a proper rottweiler until its had its tail chopped

  • I'm so used to see rottis with tail, that when I see one without it looks strange. Diffrent taste ;-)

  • bullshit!!! you know think that dog looks awful silly with a long ass tail ....LMAO ...i can not even watch the whole video because your rotties long tail makes him look foolish

  • Anyway...I'ts not allowed to chop tail here in Norway.....so that's the way it is ;-) Enjoy and laugh your ass off...... :-)

  • why are you not allowed to clip your dog's tail off? was there a referendum that the public there voted against cropping tails?...nero doesn't even look like a rottie with that long silly tail ... LMAO ...i can't watch anymore

  • They are born with a tail for a reason. They use it to show what mood they are in and steering when they run...even you know that. That's some of the reason it's not allowed. The same with the ears...I've seen rotties with chopped ears. ;-)

  • i never knew that, and i still don't know it. i think u are exaggerating it because u regret not gettng his tail hacked....u know the short tail gave the rottie a real clean look....

  • actually its true what he says about the tail. it does look funny though.

  • I prefer a docked tail as my rotti is a house dog and tails tend to knock things off of tables and get in the way. But Grampy is an idiot to say it's not proper because it has a tail. Germany (ADRK) sets the standard for this breed and it calls for a full tail as docking tails is illegal in Europe.

    MrScottynobody is also an idiot.
