Nice video man. I remember when hot topic was a grunge store. This is kinda the samething. This kinda goes with how the rave sceane changed. I'm kinda sick of Ambercrombie and A.M Eagle selling preripped jeans for 100 bucks. Back then all of that was underground it was not ment to be preppy or instyle. so what do think about this, SWIM loves techno and loves the style and knows about the history of raves etc, they have been listening to the genre for years yet havent been to a real rave because theres nothing available in there area. how would you say they are a poser or a fake raver kandi kid? isnt it all about the love, style and enjoying the music and friendship? The only thing I like about Hot Topic is my Slytherin shirt (Yes, I'm a true HP fan unlike those people who only watch the movies. Go Professor Snape! XD I'm sad he dies) I understand where you're coming from. People always think it's drugs D: My old school held a rave/dance once and refused to let us leave for two fucking hours because we 'might do drugs outside'...Ridiculous

Its not a matter of people wearing bracelets and not raving, its when people buy them and call themselves ravers, when they have not been to an event at all. I know many people who wear bracelets, but dont claim to be ravers. That is totally cool with me. Just those that pretend to be who they aren't.

@jekabeanie It depends on where you go. They still keep it real in Brooklyn for the most part (although I wish there wasn't so much drama with the djs and the promoters) and in Worcester. But Providence is struggling. The scene is being taken over by hipsters who alienate others rather than keeping the positive vibes.

@PockyStarPokemon Absolutely nothing wrong with that at all! The main issue with ravers and kandi kids are those who WILL wear a large amount, and pretend to be "ravers". I have met many people who will tell that they went to many parties, only to have lied. Its not about looking cool at a rave. Its just being yourself, and kandi is a way of showing that. Im glad you enjoy bracelets, and I support you totally

There is no age when it comes to kandi making. Im 21 years old, and I still make them! Keep on the lookout for all age events, but I highly suggest you dont go alone. As i've said before, it only takes one apple to ruin an entire bunch, but I promise that as long as you believe in what the scene is about, you are golden in my books.

Thank you! omg i really become heated when people give raving a bad name, not everyone who raves are etards and druggies. Music is a beautiful. When i go to a rave i go sober the sound of the music alone is enough to fill me with enough energy to dance the night away. People who talk about going to a rave and "rolling balls" really should double think what they are doing not just for the reputation of ravers out there but also to their own health.

Thank you! I know its a part of the scene, but I cant stand hearing those scream they need pills or they are wasted beyond control. The scene in the public eye is rarely praised, and the ones who over-dose or worse always make the news. You never hear about the parties unless something bad happened.

I believe that a raver is someone who has the mindset of one (positivity, compassion, respect, etc..) rather than the amount of parties they've been to. Ive met alot of under-age people who act way beyond their age, and people older than me who act worse than kids. It sucks that fewer parties allow all ages, but always have an eye out for one. When you do reach the age to attend events, it will be totally worth it.

I understand the selling of custom done pieces, like bags, vests, hats, and other massive ones. My beef is that kandi is being sold at a massive store that caters to nothing but horrible trends.
