The most I ever did in a hard top was about 250 kmh in my old z28 camaro (that's about 155mph for us american folk who can't convert, lol) and the most I ever did in a convertible w/ the top down was about 185kmh in my even older chevy cavalier conv. lol (which is about 115 mph)...can't expect TOO much out of a 140hp 3.1l v6 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission, lol

I live in Germany since many years and do have some experience of fast driving even if I agree that driving 326 is never safe when other cars are around. However also a Porsche turbo should have the right to stretch out fully from time to time ;-D

It´s all about experience. but lot´s of tourists (mostly skandinavians) only come here with their Ferraris and Porsches to drive fast. They think, no speed limit,my car is the fastest, so it´s my road

the point is in stock form it cuts off at 155 mph and secondly a bone stock m6 is very fast but not like a 911 tt.the 911 runs high elevens in the quarter if its an 01 to 05 mid elevens 07.0to60 is under 4seconds m6 around 4.2 seconds.

That was the video I looked for. Good video. I always wanted to know which car is faster in top speed. BMW M6 or Porsche Turbo. My M6 Cabrio reaches 336 km/h on the speedo which equals to around 315-320. BMW M told me theoreticaly real 325 km/h are possible. Car is absolute stable at that speed and has still reserves but the delimiter stops the run forward at 7700 UMin, although the limit of the m6 engine is 8250. But I think the accelleration of porsche turbo till 250 km/h is somehow better.
The Porsche 997 Turbo may be better than the BMW M6, but it costs substantially more money(~$20k more). Personally I like the 997 Turbo more than the M6, but that's just me.
but if i ws to buy a car, that i can use daily. I would buy the porsche even if it is 20k, 30k more, because for 20k more i can buy super car. Out run every single car out there, and you can use every day. and the best. Its called a porsche not a bmw.

I did go 326 km/h on tacho (that is 203 mph) and that was clearly the top speed of the car. The real speed with 326 km/h on the tacho is 310 km/h (193 mph). The car is quite stable even at its top-speed =)

the speedometer always has an error of about 5%,showing a little higher speed than real,he's right.But,anyway,I think 310 or 326 makes no difference!
