Oh.. and if this IS Dan Wilson (I can only assume by the intense vocabulary). Let me just say that as a nerdy alienated screwy music fan in a shitty tourist town in Maryland. You are my hero.
Crumbs. I've compiled a list of *infinitely* better examples of a "hero" which may suit you: Django Reinhardt, Jon Tickle (from 'Brainiac'), DJ Otzi, Prince Charles (the anglophile's choice), Dennis Nilsen... the list goes on. Diverse.
I will certainly acknowledge your list of heroes as sufficient for most people (especially Django). However, those listed have yet to make the sight of wood lice an enjoyable and clever metaphor for the complex mental processes of love.
What does it mean that at 8:31 AM (on the near side of the day, or whatever it is that I mean), the only one of those who registers immediately is Django Reinhardt? I, um. *jazz!*
Walking On Sunshine is essentially a song about transcendental release from day-to-day banalities by an incidence of mutually reciprocated love. Here I'm attempting to reverse the transcendence process thereby contrarily effecting a trans-descendent restraint; an understated realist rerendering. The upturned woodlouse is a visual metaphor for being head over heels in love whilst also highlighting the immobilising effect of this disorientation.
Being in love is actually a process of becoming mentally and physically immobilised. Incidentally, the red lights are meant to symbolise lust. Basically all I'm saying is: be careful. And there's also a breakdancing woodlouse near the end which is funny. Please don't get the wrong idea, I am a (sort of) fun person (I think).

I used to be married to that Katrina bitch, she left me for a demodex folliculorum. Her hero was Wyschnegradsky.
