Last time I tried this mod it lacked polish. I remember the baldur's gate title screen music drowning out the narrator during the intro movie, and some several other glitches. Just wondered if it's come along any further since a year ago and how far it intends to take the conversion. Does it feature the D&D ruleset?
@iouswuoibev We are still alive, if you wanna see how we're coming along we have a short weekly blog (google 'bgredux sunday update', it's the top result, links don't work in comments)
@SavageInsight Dude, avoid judging people you don't know. Or in case you are not judging, do not make it sound so. I am working on various musical and theatrical projects, I host workshops for guitar crafting and I am about to get a bachelor's degree in composition and audio engingeering. I am also in a relationship with a beautiful girl, and I speak 4 languages - english, russian, spanish and bulgarian, my mother language. I do have a life, a pretty
The model used here is temporary until the final model is created and imcorporated into the module. The night version of the graveyard is finished and final. And as Darth says, if you do not want full voice, that is your choice. Custom full voice will be totally optional where we can provide it.
The original BG2 VO will still be used, and a copy of the original game will be required for this purpose (you can buy it from GOG if you don't have it). Custom full VO for some major characters, like the sample here, is being provided as an optional extra for those that want it.
The Voice actress for Bodhi is pretty good, I'm guessing the choice for not using the original is that you're going to have alot more spoken dialogue than BG2...
@RealArcalian I'm unsure what the mod's status is when it comes to using original voices when possible. The released Irenicus' Dungeon demo did use original voices under fair use - credit for the original work given, no profit etc - and I was under assumption that the mod developers were planning to use the original voices during the entire game too - which would be extracted from the player's copy of Baldur's Gate II (you would have to own the game, that is) - maybe changed their mind?
I'm DYING to see Aerie.

Great job by the VA.
However... the model doesn't quite look like the original character portrait.

On the one hand, I'm very glad you're still working on this!
On the other, is there any reason why you didn't use her actual voice?
