lol @ mad gt5 fans, your so defensive about gt5 when someone says forza 4 is better, get over it and get a life u nubs, its just a game, they both have their flaws, neither is perfect so stfu.
I like GT5 Nurburgring better; I can go 250 Km/h with a smile on my face. Probably on the real Nurburgring I would be sh***ng my pants once I pass 120 km/h.
If you put GT5s track graphics (real lighting/landmarks/track reality), premium cars, cockpit shake, night and weather (not great weather), physics and smoke/exhaust flame in Forza 4 it would be the perfect game...Forza 4 has 20 things better than GT5...Sound, Damage (both visual and internal), menus replays, replayability, upgrades, paint, light(sunshine and sun reflection), auctions, career, online, kinect, autovista, tuning and premium cars.
@sawink No you must mean 17. Damage is fake and sucks in both GT and FM, Light is terrible unrealistic (that's why GT5 always looks more realistic than FM4), Kinect (are you serious) Kinect is a waste of time and offers nothing to the game. Autovista is also a waste of time. And finally Premium Car in GT5 have a higher polygon count than in FM4 that's exactly why they look way more detailed especially in the cockpit area. Shadows and Constant 60FPS are two things to be added
that racing wheel for forza has got to be the most STUPID idea i have ever seen it it much more worth it to just go out and buy a logitech G27 so you have a wheel that has force feedback, achual pedals, and an H pattern shifter. and why do people always go straight for "oh well GT5 has unrealistic damage" who fucking cares its a racing simulator not a crash simulator. just face it GT5 is the better game
@EmofacePS3 it's very hard to choose, i love both, GT is nice to play with slower cars, but Forza is a shit ton better when it comes to professional race cars such a Aussie V8s, DTM, Prototypes. They sound better, and feel better cause they have more grip. I like GT for the more "down-to-earth" league cause it has a larger choice of street legal cars for the masses, and a lot of different sportscars, and the AI is a bit more reactive. But all GT cars sound horrible i'm afraid
GT5 track graphics are only good when moving fast. Up close the ground features have no texture, they are just 2D images. The cars are superb, I have nothing bad to say about that
I'm a big fan of both games but gt5 is so realistic. Its freaking me out. Its just to bad that forza4 is a much more better game overall. I just hopes forza5 will have better graphic next time.or gt6 have better options and game mode. They should learn from each other.
This is a very nice video, I have a other question though, is there a '98 Supra in GT5 and where, I looked everywhere and cant find it :( Please let me know
@Thomas22may No there's not. The highest one they have that is a non racing one is the Toyota SUPRA RZ '97. The carlist is online too if you want to see what cars are in the game.
Glad Polyphony left out one feature: in real life, there is about 8000 other cars on the track at once, making it nearly impossible to get consistent lap times.
Bin die Nordschleife schon oft im eigenen Porsche Gefahren muss sagen das die Strecke im Spiel sehr Real ist, nur das es im Spiel möglich ist viel schneller zu fahren
The color red should be augmented more. That's all. Notice how the red is faded compared to reality. But that's just a matter of adjusting your TV's color settings.
Hey everyone. I got an HD PVR for Christmas and I'm so stoked, plan to have a commentary out today. Only problem is that I have few subscribers (you guys know how hard it is to get subs, so I wont go in depth about that). One really great Christmas present would be a couple of subs on my account (thumbs this up so others can see please). I made a skype and a twitter to keep in touch with my subs and fans. Please help me out and I won't disappoint you.
oh i see that people are still fighting that forza is the best.. -_- for the love of god people!! Go dream on your flopza failsport pages about your wet dreams of flopza being better. GT5 IS BETTER IN MY OPPINION : END OF STORY
Driving this circuit on the GT games shows you how the circuit is laid out in real life. When you drive around it for real, knowing what lies ahead is good. GT doesnt prepare you for the lack of grip you get with road tyres on a damp surface though. The tyres in the game provide much more grip. You can feel the forces involved in driving the real life Nordschleife. Your stomach goes up and down a lot as the track rise and falls whilst doing 90+ mph. You also get pushed around in your seat.
360 isnt as powerful as the PS3. T10's CEO even said to get weather change & time change on FORZA 4 on the 360, theyd have to cut the cars on track in half and have XBOX 1 Car models
I'm sure this track alone took 2 years for PD to complete. It shows how much dedication they put in the track and it's the most detailed. I don't see why other developers don't want to take extra time to make their tracks more accurate instead of releasing games every two years and the tracks aren't accurate at all compared to the real life counterparts :(
So let me get this straight. Gran tourismo is a better simulator because you can drive at night and weather effect's? Im guessing having only 200+ premium cars is another great simulator quality. I would rather in car view for all cars, better sound graphics and physics. Then being able to race at night or in rain.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Bro its more thn 200 premium cars n flopza is soo arcady tht i only play it on soccar mod n bowling mod since its so odanm arcady lookin racing game kinna like mario kart lol.
@McRaZeNGuN So having the most inovated physics engine added to a racing game make's it an arcade game. And of course you can only play soccor or bowling, Probably used to understeering and crashing in GT5 that you can't play a good racing game.
have you ever driven a real car? im assuming not... also the Physics in any FM game do not come close to GT5, hell even GT4 was better than FM3... even better looking in 720... (yes thats right, the playstation TWO has 720...) ive driven on Mid-Ohio in a Lotus Elise (2004 i do believe) that my dad's friend owns, as well as a 2006 LS2 GTO and a Dodge Neon Skittle 4 with a mild build. FM HAS FUCKING REWIND... WTF IS THAT SHIT?! AND YOU TRY TO CALL IT A SIM?!
@stupidplants So you're comparing the physics to a game that you more than likely haven't played. To one of the times your daddy let you drive one of his mate's cars. GT5 has damage as an optional feature... A true simulator quality. Oh and im pretty sure I've driven a car because I don't have a 04 Subaru impreza WRX in my drive way for no reason. Well have fun playing a so called " Simulator" with optional damage and only 200 premium cars.
ive driven all the cars on the TRACK ONCE on the street multiple times, and only the Lotus is my dad's friends, the LS2 GTO is my cousins and the skittle was my friends... ive played all the Forza games (not much of 4, its not mine) as well as all the GT series games the damage isn't optional in the GT Mode you retard, thanks for proving you have never played the game. and you expect me to believe you have a WRX (even though its not an STi i still highly doubt it) when you have no
@stupidplants I guess I've never played the disappointment of a game that I owned for 3 months. Pull your head out your ass. If I haven't played the game, Do you think I'd be here. Stating all that facts that made GT5 the biggest mistake of the GT series. If it wasn't for PD being such a lazy developer and only making 200 of the cars actually look decent, I wouldn't of even play forza 3. But any way your annoying, So have fun with the sorry excuse that passes for a so called "Simulator"
stating all the facts that are INCORRECT. you know you can play the whole game minus the FGT series in premium cars right? and the modeling on the standard cars isn't all that bad, i will give you that some are absolutely HORRID but others are great, and the interior on the only one actually you have to drive to beat the game to 100 percent looks good, and correct unlike some of the standard interiors which are about 90 percent shadow...
@stupidplants Im just stating the Correct facts about the piece of shit that is so called a "simulator" When I had played it, Which was the release day. It had terrible shadow edging, Only 200 premium car's. So only 200 cars with interior view. Even the premium lazyness of PD was in the tracks. Then there is the terrible A.I That can only follow the racing line.... JUST. So if this war is still about forza 4 being better than GT5. Then the facts and reviewing companies agree that F4 is better.
Your so full of shit troll you contradict yourself every other comment. the real world tracks were spot on in GT4, why would they get worse for GT5? you obviously went into playing the game biased if you feel the tracks are off, every car in the game has interior view... and the terrible AI that isn't terrible at all and doesn't follow the racing line 99 percent of the time? what about the AI in FM4 that you can flip and they never right themselves you can flip them on lap1 and win
@stupidplants First off it's You're* junior and I yet to contradict myself. And every car has interior view now that PD is still working on the terrible game they released way too early. And I didn't go into playing the game bias since GT5 being so terrible caused me to search for better racing games. Hence why I played Forza 3. And the GT5 A.I are terrible, They won't even slow down or swerve around you if it conflict's with the racing line. And when they crash into you there isn't even damage.
@IB3MOR3PR0 hahaha dude A.I. in forza 4 are fucking stupid, they literally have mental breakdowns, I would always be on the inside of a turn and the dumbasses would never ever stay on the outside they would always ram into me like idiots. Forcing me to always be on the outside. Forza feels too arcadish I had high expectations and almost sold my ps3 thank God I didn't. sold forza the next day and went back to gran turismo.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Forza did have better sound effects, customization, and all that, but physics didn't cut it for me. I swear it felt like NFS shift, oh and i had all aids turned off.
@IB3MOR3PR0 - GT5 terrible lol? I think the only way to better it is to go outside and drive a real car. If you don't like GT5 then you aren't as passionate about cars as you think you are. The attention to detail in GT5 is vastly superior to Forza, which is a racing game aimed more at casual players. Don't get me wrong though its still a great game too, Ive been playing it alot recently, but it is in no way better than GT5, but not worse either.
@SUPERBLAH28 First off I am extremely passionate about cars, Have been all my life. But with GT5 i don't see the need for 16 MX-5's and 13 S2000's, Which is what PD has done to boost car numbers Also the attention to detail is higher in forza for the same reason the graphics are better. The polygon count for GT5 is about 400,000 for standard cars and 500,000-600,000 for the 200 premium cars. In forza all cars have 1,000,000 polygons. If you have really played it you would know that.
@IB3MOR3PR0 nope sorry your wrong. Only the autovista cars in forza4 are more detailed than gt5s premiums. The rest aren't. Do me a favour and go compare the F40 model from both games. The one in Forza4 is quite bad, lacking in lots of details (eg, the grills are just a texture, you cant see through them, and the lines on the headlight casing are bent, which isnt right). Alot of forzas other cars are the same. GT5 is more consistant.
@IB3MOR3PR0 - BTW if you want to make a real looking game, the first thing to do is get the lighting engine right. Forza still hasnt done that, where as GT5 has been spot on since gt4. No amount of extra detail and polygons will improve the realism of the game if the way the lighting bounces of paintwork and objects isnt correct. Notice in the above video how GT5 is almost exactly the same as real life lighting wise? now go look at forzas nurburgring. its close but no gt5
@SUPERBLAH28 I do have to admit that the light engine in forza isnt that great, But that is the only thing that GT5 beats forza 4 in. The rest I.E sounds, Car detail, Modification, Attention to detail, Tire and handling physics and pretty much every thing. Also the Auto vista and the fact that our top gear track isn't just a cheap little add in
@IB3MOR3PR0 -yeah I agree Forza has better sounds, customization etc. The physics are different to GT5 but aren't in anyway better for worse, its just a different take on how the car reacts though a controller. But tiny details in GT5 like how everycar has a detailed description on its history, and how every paintcolour is named after the real ones, and how there are fully animated pitcrews, and the very accurate tracks. thats the attention to detail i speak of.
@SUPERBLAH28 I have to agree with you apart from the tracks. The main let down with GT5 ( PD being lazy ) has effected the cars and tracks. That premium BS is even with the tracks. Like the difference between the amazing Rome tracks and the low quality of trial mountain <--- personal favorite. Also what I think makes forza 4 better is the actual sponsorship of TopGear with the auto vista mode track and how your driver is modeled from the stig.
@IB3MOR3PR0 - Yeah but atleast all the real tracks in GT5 are more acurate than the ones in Forza. such as nurburgring in the above video, suzuka, tsukuba etc. Forzas is slightly off in places.Yeah Top Gear is nice but PD don't need full TG sponorship to sell their game. Remember the Top Gear stuff is also aimed at the more casual car enthusiast to bring them into the game. If anything Forza sell out on it a bit too much. Modelled from the stig? so only white suit then
@SUPERBLAH28 You're wrong there. Not all the tracks in GT5 are as accurate as the ones provided in Forza 4, Such as suzuka, tsukuba, road america, Le man. Also how is TG stuff aimed at casual gamer? How is the worlds most renown automotive shot " Casual "? I would say that PD needed a phew more sponsors seeing as they are still working on their so loosely called "Simulator" that was released a phew years back.
@IB3MOR3PR0 -suzuka and suzuka are clearly more accurate in gt5, especially since they are in Japan too. Check youtube vids comparing real life laps to those in gt5/forza and you will see what I mean. Also Top Gear is geared towards a more casual audience these days, as opposed to shows like Fifth Gear, or maybe even Best Motoring that are watched by more serious car enthusiasts aswell. So having TG content is more likely to attract those 'casual' car enthusiasts.
@SUPERBLAH28 There were too many features that got taken out of GT5. PD had the Stig Challenge, which got taken out because they didn't have time to finish the game. While Turn 10 had enough time to fully implement the Top Gear feature.
@whatnow1204 Yeah but it depends what you like. Id rather thave rally events, night racing/24hr cycle, weather effects etc... over TG content. The TG track is enough for me
@SUPERBLAH28 But that's the thing, All those weather effects are at lower quality. And if you want to cruise a car down Le mans. For the car to be as beautiful as it is IRL you would have to hope that PD weren't lazy with that cars designing.
@IB3MOR3PR0 The Weather seems fine to me. Atleast it's there. You could attempt a whole 24hr races in GT5 with weather and day/night cycle if you wanted. Same goes for the Nurbergring 24hr. I don't understand what you mean by lazy? PDs team is one of the hardest working for 6 years straight. And you can tell that GT5 took 6 years of hard work to make. If you can't then you havn't played it through properly
@SUPERBLAH28 That just proofs PD's lazyness, They took 6 years to make a " Simulator" And yet they are still working on it. Only 200 out of the 1000 cars they bragged about having had incar view, Decent graphics, then the other 800 mazda and honda's had terrible design.
@IB3MOR3PR0 They never took 6 years to make a "simulator". The suspension and the tire physics got revamped after GT5 prologue. If they were that lazy that you claim, GTHD and GT vision would have gotten released with GT4's engine with no cockpit views, but fortunately, PD scrapped their GT4 current engine and cancelled both of those projects and created a brand engine in 2007 to fit the current gen's architecture. That's why it took 6 years. They're just trying to make the best for the ps3.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Of course they're working on it. You act as if PD is an independent company and they have the rules to decide on when they can release a game. If you want to blame someone, blame Sony. They're the one's that made PD to release an unfinished product because they wanted to make sales for the consoles. That's why in many interviews, Kaz, the creator of GT, wasn't satisfied the way he wanted the game to be (this was before the game came out). Many features got take out from the game.
@IB3MOR3PR0 You obviously don't understand how long it takes to get things done. Lets see how long it takes turn 10 to make night time races, 24hr races, snow/rain weather effects, rally stages, 5 real life city tracks, animated pitcrews, over 10 photomode locations based on real places, a proper lighting engine for the graphics, and 200 premium cars that are more consistantly detailed than forzas, etc... all from scratch. all for a new console lol
@IB3MOR3PR0 You're forgetting on thing. PD only has 144 people working for them, and Turn 10 has 300. That's why FM2- 4 use pretty much the same physics engine with minor tweeks. Just saying if you're going to bash people for being lazy then bash turn 10.
@obscuresword How is turn 10 being lazy? They went out and individually recorded each sound for every car they have added to the game. Oh and turn 10 created a new physics engine that allows more realistic handling that PD could ever apply to their GT series. If you're going to bash a game. Then atleast play it first.
@IB3MOR3PR0 more realistic handling???? forza isnt even close when it comes to physics compared to GT5,not to mention that on X360 you cant have steering wheels like G25 G27 or DFGT.forza isnt best racing sim, like those fools were saying, neither gt5 is, pc sims are best in terms of physics, this is how it goes
Iracing 2.0-GTR-LFS-rfactor---GT5--FM4. looks like you havent even played gt5.But with sounds, they re better in FM4.Pc sims have them even better
@Foxman196 True, PC sims have everything because well all console games pretty much are develop from some kind of PC. PC has the best of everything, from sound, to graphics. But as you said FM4 doesn't even have support for the best wheels. Like GT5 even supports the Thrustmaster RS 400, and FM4 just got that Fanatec CSR, which most people hate lol.
@Foxman196 I agree that Pc racing sim literally shit all over console racers, But the G25 and G27 arn't as good as they've been gloryfied. I bought a G25 to play with GT5, And it was terrible. Even the standard xbox wheel is better than it. And I have played GT5 and it's shit, The sounds graphics and physics are terrible. The only cars the DONT understeer are the FWD cars. If it wasn't for GT5 being so bad i would of never tried forza 3.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Oh and that's why GT5 has already made 4 drivers go from a simulator to real life right? Seriously don't try and say something that obviously isn't true. Forza hasn't even done that at all. The FM series widens tracks, caters to the arcade crowd, and with that becomes the overall easier game. Plus G27, G25, Thrustmaster, DFGT, GT Force and etc all crap on the xbox standard wheel. Haha shame on you for even thinking it's better.
@obscuresword The G27 and all those range of wheels are shit, They're not responsive and over glorified completely. Oh and GT5's 200 premium cars have like 500,000 polygons more or less, All of forza 4's cars have 1,000,000 polygons with better sounds and physics. GT5 Is as much a simulator as russia is a democracy. The only reason you say it's a simulator is because PD has lied about it being so.
@IB3MOR3PR0 You sir are retarded. ONLY AUTOVISTA CARS HAVE 1,000,000 POLYGONS! Look it up. And no they are not, you're just a fanboy spouting BS now. I don't have time for people who like to spout ignorance. You can go look up all the reviews for those wheels, and all of them have a better rating than that crappy Xbox 360 wheel. Heck even most people who own the 360 know the wheel is crap. The one that's been lied to is yourself. But it's ok since you're another delusion fanboy.
@obscuresword Aww, Whats the matter? Is someone feeling a little butthurt? I see you're out of facts if you've resorted to the fanboy insult. Also I'm not a fanboy, If it wasn't for GT5 being so terrible i would of never played forza 3.
@IB3MOR3PR0 . Have you finded out that you're really annoying? I checked your comments. You're really ignorant. I've currently owned my G25 for two years now. It has worked fine. And as I said, you just ignore all the facts other people tell to you, and the replace the facts with you own ones. Seriosuly, GT5 is not nearly as bad as you make it seem to. And Forza 4 is not so good as you make seem to. I don't want to argue, but I don't truly like the way you talk.
@MrUppmas The reason I don't listen to the facts other people tell me is because I've owned a G25 and it only lasted about a week. As for GT5 that was such a disappointment for me that it caused me to seek out better racing games. And i'm glad that PD is such a lazy developer. Its the reason why I actually tried forza and liked it immensely. And forza 4 is certainly alot better than is over rated garbage, Neither are sims, But forza 4 is alot closer.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Yet, again you're just replacing facts with your own ones. You know that GT5 has got many updates and it's a really good game now? And also, why do you state that PD is a lazy developer? Because it's not, PD is just a small developer. You just seem like a fanboy of Forza (lol no offense). People do like GT5, and some like a lot. It's not a bad game just if you don't like it. Please, do mature comments. I am not stating GT5 is the best game on earth, but it is a great game
@MrUppmas But if PD just waited a phew more years and released it later GT5 would of been a great game, But they rushed it. Selling it before it was ready and it was a rather huge disappoint to me. I had been waiting for ages after playing the prolog and hoping that GT5 would be great. But it was just missing that spark that all other GT games had. It wasn't the same as it used to be. And for that I sincerely hate PD for ruining such a great series.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Obviously you've understood things wrong. SONY wanted PD to release GT5 early to increase PS3 sales. Kazunori said himself in an interview, that he wanted a couple more years to develop GT5. So you're really dumb if you blame PD for all this.
@MrUppmas I know all of this, And trust me junior you can't really call me "dumb". If kazunori really wanted to keep GT5 in development he would have. PD has the proprietary rights to the GT series, So they could of released it any time they wanted to. PD just got lazy in trying to over achieve, Hell they can't even get the sounds of the car right.... And yet its called a simulator.
@IB3MOR3PR0 LoL. Sony pays all PDs wages, do opf course PD cant work if Sony oesn't want so. If Sony refuses to keep the developement going, of course they cant keep developing the game. So they just had to release it unfinished. Kaz has been patching the game, so it would become step by step to perfection. So it is really dumb to blame kazurori for all this.
@MrUppmas But thats the thing, One of Sonys biggest marketing schemes for the PS3 is GT5. If they stopped paying PD to make it, Then they would loose an astronomical amount of income. Then they would have to find another way to earn their money. And to me that is kind of shame on PD's part. They've had the game out for what 2-3 years now, They're still patching it and it's still not as close as forza in the racing genre.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Well... duhh. I said it a little wrong. Sony just wanted GT5 out, because the production costs were already 80 million euros. It costed so much, that Sony wanted to see profit, and the game was released. And... I don't know if you are.. tired or something, but GT5 has been out for 1 year now (LOL). And also, GT5 is on par with Forza series, GT5 shines there where Forza 4 doesn't, and vice versa. People compare GT5 to FM4, because GT5 is great enough to be a contender.
@MrUppmas Isn't that the same with the GT5 fanboy's comparing forza 3 with GT5. If forza 3 was good enough to be a contender. That pretty much means that forza 4 is the better game. From how I see it, Forza 4 has the better sounds ( Every one agrees to that ) Better Car modelings, Better physics, Better Modifications and a way of making each car unique to the others out there. So that only really leaves GT5 with a title that makes people think its a simulator.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Well no. Forza 4 isn't that big step over Forza 3. i would say Forza 4 and GT5 are on par of each other. I can agree with the sounds, but on my ming GT5 premiums look better and have better modeling than Forza 4 cars. Standards are different story though. And that physics thing isn't that obvious. how do you explain that Forza 4 has better physics? I agree that Forza 4 has better exteroir tuning, but it's not that important in sims. However.. these are just opinions.
@MrUppmas Neither is GT5 a big step over GT4, In fact I would say that GT4 is better. In GT4 there is no difference between sounds or physics. Also the GT5 premiums aren't better quality because forza 4 cars have another 100,000-200,000 More polygons used on detailing them. Plus the GT5 physics are terrible. Every car under steers way too much, You can achieve flight in any super car, Drifting unrealistically simple. Then there's the whole premium and standard Nuance.
@IB3MOR3PR0 So GT5 isn't a improvement over GT4? lol. Liar. How about 10 000 polygons (GT4) -> 500 000 polygons (GT5). How about the new weather/time changes? How about the track generator? Improved driving physics? How about the new nascar/karting/F1 cars? How about the improved engine sounds? Huh? No improvement?
@MrUppmas First off, The physics engine is still the same one form GT4, Also there is little to no change in the time and weather changes from GT4. And there weren't any sounds improvements from GT4. The sounds are still the same computerized shit that they used to be. I find it really funny that because its got "simulator" Written on the case, That you think that GT5 is an actual racing simulator, If they wrote simulator on the case of hot wheels, Would you believe that too?
@IB3MOR3PR0 The hell you're talking about!? GT5's physics engine revamped from prologue's version which completely different from the previous games. If FM4 is so superior like you said then why does the cars behavior feels the same? The physics engine isn't revamped at all. The only thing that FM4 does well in is tire physics. How can you say there's no sound improvements in from GT4 and they revamped the lexus isf sound and other cars from GT prologue? You're an idiot
@whatnow1204 Who would know more about that game? The company the devolped it or the fanboys that play it? I don't know what forums you check but they're pretty stupid. Thats like if I found a forum saying that all GT5 Fanboys admit that forza 4 has the better physics. Its all a load of crap, I've yet to find any forza 4 player that has said what you just said.
@IB3MOR3PR0 You know that Turn 10 has never released a valid polygons count to their cars? They said AutoVista cars have 1 mil polys, but nothing more. Just because they want to be proud of their 27 cars with thatlike graphics. Kaz honestly said that GT5 premium models have 200k polys on track, and 500k polys in showroom and photo travel. And also, Polyphony did use more time on modeling the premiums, so they do actually look better. Admit it.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Why don't you go on forzamotorsportdotnet to check it out or just google it. Why do you see it so hard to believe that GT5 has better high quality models than what Forza 4 has? You haven't mentioned about the cars transitioning from FM3 to FM4 that looks the same identically with no better gfx . FM4 is is pretty much a disappointment because it's not a big step from FM3. Where the hell are the animated pit crews or night races? And this is their third title on the current gen 360!?
@whatnow1204 You go on about these animated pit crews, Yet GT5 has very limited damage. And thats just for the 200 hundred premiums. For the other 800 or so Mazda and Hondas there is no damage modeling at all. Then there is the sounds, Im sure by now that you've realized that 85% of the cars sounds like a broken hair dryer. See I don't know about you, but i would rather have a car that can be damaged realistically and sound good instead of having a pit crew and a phew night races.
@IB3MOR3PR0 animated pit crews, night racing, weather etc is you foundation of one of the most important element aspects of racing. How can games like shift 2, PGR4, F1 2011 etc. have these important features and Forza doesn't?
And you're going on about damages. Both games doesn't have realistic damage. I never driven a stock car for both games and crash at 30 mph getting a game over. That's not realistic, hence PD currently has licensing issues with that feature. That's why rally has a better
@IB3MOR3PR0 The physics engine is totally revamped. Why do you think the developement wasc so long? Because the started from a scratch and created a new engine bla bla... And the sounds are also improved. If you would have played both, you would know. But obviously you haven't played both, fucking fanboys.
@MrUppmas LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL You're calling me a fanboy? I've got every single game in the GT series including all the prologs EVERY ONE OF THEM, So don't play the fanboy card here junior, Just because you have no valid argument. If any one is the fanboy its you, Have you played all of the forza series? Have you tried any actual racing simulators that put GT5 to shame to even use the word simulator on its case.
@IB3MOR3PR0 If you have GT5, why are you saying invalid arguments? Fanboys are the ones who say false arguments. Yes I have tried the Forza series, but I haven't treid any real simulator. But just the fact that some sim is better simulator than GT5, doesn't make GT5 not to be simulator. I am not trying to be fanboy, I am just wondering.
@MrUppmas My arguments are valid, If GT5 is to be classed as a sim. Shouldn't it have good sounds, Graphics, Damage visuals and good A.I. GT5 Is no where near simulator qualit, Not even close. I'm not saying Forza 4 is either.
Damage could have been better: /watch?v=ajtw356Ct3I this advance damage feature wasn't in the game (licensing issues) including car scratches didn't make the cut.
A.I is proven to be better than FM4. A.I drivers are well aware of you. Playing Fm4 A.I is one of the biggest complaints from the forza community, and yet this is their third installment on the series this gen *smh. you want me to give you links?
@IB3MOR3PR0 If you're comparing ps2 era cars with ported tracks like trial mountain, laguna etc, I will agree with you about FM4 has better graphics. But premium quality, there's no comparison. No other game out there put so much detail with the interiors like in GT5. Animated paddle shifting/ manual shifting (shown in interior replay views), high/low beams (color varies for each car), high quality texture like leather, crock etc, Day/Night cycles with dynamic lighting and more.
@IB3MOR3PR0 And you're talking about FM4 graphics, and yet u haven't mentioned the same cars are ported from FM3 to FM4 without being highly tessellated. The only difference is lighting/shadows and autovista. And yet the game still uses pre baked lighting reflections that still have flickering issues in some cases. And few interior tweaks which doesn't equal graphics (in polygons) in racing gameplay...that's it:
watch?v=Ad-wxnriwe8 : proves my argument. You can't hardly tell the difference.
@IB3MOR3PR0 The damage video I provided you doesn't use pre damage modeling like you see in Forza, it uses an advance feature of the damage deformation calculations which each poly deforms per second. The only thing it need was broken glass and airbags popping out at a certain speed which would have blown Forza 4 out the water if they had it. But unfortunately, that feature didn't make the cut including removable paint because of licensing issues.
@IB3MOR3PR0 No, all of your arguments are not valid. You said the sounds are not improved from GT4, but they are. You said the physics are not improved from GT4, but they are. I agree that a good sim should have good physics, A.I and damage, but sounds and graphics don't make a sim. GT5 simulates DRIVING really well. Also GT5s A.I is better than the FM4 counterpart.
@MrUppmas The sounds aren't improved from GT4, They're still the same dreary sounds that they were in GT4. And for a game to be a simulator shouldn't it be as close to as its real life counterpart? So sounds and graphics do count towards making a simulator. And GT5 doesn't drive well at all. Every car under steers WAY to much, But cars can also stop on a dime from 150Mp/h. And the A.I can't even swerve around you if it conflicts with the racing line in GT5.
@whatnow1204 You caught me. I've got a collection of every other GT game ever created for shits and giggles. Of course I've played GT5. When I played it ( Which was about 2 days after release) There was little to no difference between GT4. The sounds were the same, The physics were still terrible. And the A.I were about as smart as a dipstick. They couldn't even swerve around me to over take. They just rammed straight up my ass and spun out. That was before the game crashed twice.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Yes I 100% agree with you regarding the A.I about crashing into you or hard braking so you hit the back of the car easily. That was one of my and the community including IGN (usually called them zombies on review) problems with the A.I. The A.I.'s been improved through updates since release.
watch?v=wgXBaM2yPL0 : This is since the update to prove the A.I is aware.
A.I. no longer crashes into you and/or they hard brake. If you're close to them in a curve, they move out the way.
@IB3MOR3PR0 I'm guessing you haven't updated your game. The physics totally got revamped since GT prologue. When you're in a curve the car is meant to oversteer if you're pressing on the throttle hard. If you're drivetrain is FF, the car is meant to understeer because it's front engine front wheel drive which of course means your front wheels spinning whilst your engine is in the front so it adds lots of weight to your car giving you a hard time turning in curve. GT5 done a good job with physics
@IB3MOR3PR0 I have every other GT game also including tourist trophy. I don't need to read up specs for a car I have in GT5 because you can tell the different with the drive train.
@IB3MOR3PR0 watch?v=31bH2t2X95g : Here is a video (and read the description) that shows how much the physics are changed since GT4 and how they feel towards real life.
@whatnow1204 This proofs one thing, That the physics in GT5 are the same as a driver that can't keep up with the rest of the pack. I had also noticed at those low speeds the GT5 game play had suffered from quiet abit of under steer, And that once again. It has been proven the GT5 sounds are terrible.
@IB3MOR3PR0 I'm just trying to prove a point to you for the fact that GT5's physics got revamped after GT5 prologue. He even said his virtual car behaved similarity towards his real car. It just proves that GT5 is indeed considered a sim. It may not be 100% but its accurate more than enough for this gen.
@IB3MOR3PR0 The mazda miata cars in GT5 that sounds towards real life that they actually done more accurately with the sounds whilst the one in FM4 sounds more of a tune up car and not like a stock car.
@whatnow1204 That there isn't true, Its known fact the PD used auto tuning programs to create the majority of the car sounding. Even the GT5 fanboys admit to the game sounding terrible. Where as turn 10 actually sounds recorded all featured cars with microphones and sounds equipment set up in key areas.
@IB3MOR3PR0 No you're giving out misleading information, both games uses dynometers to record the engine sounds PD kaz said that. I will admit the majority of GT5 engine sounds aren't accurate as in Forza especially if you don't have a 5.1 setup. But just because GT5's majority of engine sounds aren't good doesn't mean that they didn't record it properly. I'm sure GT5 sounds got compressed in their computers to ensure the quality of the game.
@whatnow1204 That's odd, This is the only statement you've provided with out any evidence to it. Do i suspect some BS going on here? Even the majority of the people of the forums agree that PD uses and recreates the sounds using computers and auto tune devices.
@IB3MOR3PR0 See now you're giving out speculation. It's not BS. Why do you find it so hard to believe the fact that they use the same tech as T10. They don't recreate sounds It's just that PD's output sounds more distorted compared to their real counterparts to ensure quality of the game. I will be more than happy to provide you the link to give you proof :)
@whatnow1204 Because out of all the GT5 fanboy population, You're the only one that seems to think that PD did a good job with the sounds. PD didn't use sound recording to create sounds for their game. Because they nether had the budget or staff to do so. That is why most cars either sound slike a broken hair dryer. And v8s sounds like a 80 year old mans fart.
@IB3MOR3PR0 I think you need to re-read my comments:
"PD's output sounds more distorted compared to their real counterparts to ensure quality of the game"
"But just because GT5's majority of engine sounds aren't good doesn't mean that they didn't record it properly. I'm sure GT5 sounds got compressed in their computers to ensure the quality of the game."
Where did I say in those comments that GT5 done a good job with sounds? I said sounds got compressed in the game (the majority of cars sounding like vaccum cleaners). I'll say it again, just because majority of the cars in GT5 sounds "AWFUL" doesn't mean PD didn't record the cars properly. I already provided you proof to back up my argument. But I will say there are a very few cars that sounds like their real life counterparts.
@IB3MOR3PR0 I'm using words like "distorted" and "compressed" sounds which makes the sounds in GT5 sound unrealistic (vaccum cleaners?). I never said they done a good job with engine sounds in the game. But they did record the sounds the same way as T10 did theirs which I gave you proof for my argument. PD put $80 million in production by Sony by the way.
@whatnow1204 True. Most FM fanboys don't notice the fine print that PD wrote in the Audio options of GT5. PD built GT5 to sound great on home theater systems, and not with standard tv speakers. And here is what it says about that "those who use living room limit the engine sound, road noise, and other sound effects". Here's a video to back up your statement "watch?v=NPH5E0WlKeg". So IB3 is wrong in some sense.
@IB3MOR3PR0 "PD didn't use sound recording to create sounds for their game. Because they nether had the budget or staff to do so."
Did you even bother reading the link that I provided to you?
Also, here's another link to back it up: /watch?v=SXEf6_gmB5M Skip to 4:12
Again I'm not saying that PD done a good job with the sounds (most of the cars) but they did record them properly like any other developer like T10, but in the game it doesn't sound so good.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Actually it is true that the miata cars in GT5 sound closer to real life than FM4s. FM4 sound tuned while GT5 doesn't so he is correct in that aspect, which you completely ignored from some reason. And whatnot is also right when he said you need at least a 5.1 home theater setup to make it sound better, and 7.1 makes GT5 sound really close to real life. Which again you ignored.
@shadowtsunami It can't be true at all. Every car in forza 4 was sound recorded on a dyno. There was no sounds tuning added, Just the sounds of the engine as it would be in real life. GT5 has terrible sounds, A Honda civic will sounds the exactly the same as a ford fiesta and so on. The main reason being that PD couldn't and didn't have the budget to record many of the vehicles.
@IB3MOR3PR0 It is true. You see that video link I gave whatnot. Youtube Gran Turismo 5 Sound - THE TRUTH, and you'll see the difference in sound and how much they sound closer to real life. Why do you think GT5 supports up to 7.1 channel surround sound for large theater systems with Dolby Digital, DTS, and PCM. PD didn't have a budget? They spent about 80 million dollars to develop it and that's a big budget lol.
@shadowtsunami I don't know were you're getting you're info from. But just from what these GT5 fanboys have told me. PD was nearly broke and had to get all the budget money off Sony to make the game. Sony are a bunch of money tight old men that wouldn't spend 80 millions dollars on a video game or anything. Then force PD to have it released uncompleted. It is common knowledge that Forza has better sounds then GT, And you're then only person I know that thinks other wise.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Yes they actually did, and no Sony is not all that money tight. They are a multi billion dollar corporation. And Yes GT5 is the second most expensive video game to make right after GTA4. Why do you also ignore things people tell you? I never said GT5 had better sound. Please don't put words in my mouth. I said that GT was made to sound great with Home Theater systems and bad with regular speakers.
@IB3MOR3PR0 Why are you still in denial? I gave you two links to prove you that PD used dyno to record their engine sounds the same way as T10. Like shadowtsunami said and I said, GT5 has a higher quality in sounds with a 5.1 or a 7.1 than Forza (not saying their engine sounds is more accurate than Forza). Especially when you're in a chase cam, you have to turn down your speakers because the exhaust is too loud. I would say GT5's chase cam is better than cockpit views regarding sounds.
@whatnow1204 Wouldn't that just proof that forza 4 has the better quality in sounds? If GT5 is using 7.1 surround settings and forza only using basic up to 5.1. Then why does forza 4 still sound better? If GT5 uses all these high quality sound devices to record their car sounds, Why do the cars still sound like broken hair dryers?

Gran Turismo has good Grafics, but its not a Game for Race Profis.
Its more an Mainstream Game, for Children playing after Scool, or Aduld playing after the Work.
It got very, very much wrongs, and its no Challange at all.
Only the Drive Phisics of Street Cars are in GT very good, and the rest is very unprofessional.
Just Mainstream to make much Money...

MagicAyrtonforever 2 weeks ago
@sawink but what racers want is the better physic like GT5, that's all
DFFans 1 week ago
@sawink No you must mean 17. Damage is fake and sucks in both GT and FM, Light is terrible unrealistic (that's why GT5 always looks more realistic than FM4), Kinect (are you serious) Kinect is a waste of time and offers nothing to the game. Autovista is also a waste of time. And finally Premium Car in GT5 have a higher polygon count than in FM4 that's exactly why they look way more detailed especially in the cockpit area. Shadows and Constant 60FPS are two things to be added
shadowtsunami 6 days ago
@sawink Kinect? really?
that racing wheel for forza has got to be the most STUPID idea i have ever seen it it much more worth it to just go out and buy a logitech G27 so you have a wheel that has force feedback, achual pedals, and an H pattern shifter. and why do people always go straight for "oh well GT5 has unrealistic damage" who fucking cares its a racing simulator not a crash simulator. just face it GT5 is the better game
EmofacePS3 6 days ago
@EmofacePS3 it's very hard to choose, i love both, GT is nice to play with slower cars, but Forza is a shit ton better when it comes to professional race cars such a Aussie V8s, DTM, Prototypes. They sound better, and feel better cause they have more grip. I like GT for the more "down-to-earth" league cause it has a larger choice of street legal cars for the masses, and a lot of different sportscars, and the AI is a bit more reactive. But all GT cars sound horrible i'm afraid

IB3MOR3PR0 3 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Bro its more thn 200 premium cars n flopza is soo arcady tht i only play it on soccar mod n bowling mod since its so odanm arcady lookin racing game kinna like mario kart lol.
McRaZeNGuN 3 months ago
@McRaZeNGuN So having the most inovated physics engine added to a racing game make's it an arcade game. And of course you can only play soccor or bowling, Probably used to understeering and crashing in GT5 that you can't play a good racing game.
IB3MOR3PR0 3 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0
have you ever driven a real car? im assuming not... also the Physics in any FM game do not come close to GT5, hell even GT4 was better than FM3... even better looking in 720... AND YOU TRY TO CALL IT A SIM?!
stupidplants 3 months ago 2
@stupidplants So you're comparing the physics to a game that you more than likely haven't played. To one of the times your daddy let you drive one of his mate's cars. GT5 has damage as an optional feature... A true simulator quality. Oh and im pretty sure I've driven a car because I don't have a 04 Subaru impreza WRX in my drive way for no reason. Well have fun playing a so called " Simulator" with optional damage and only 200 premium cars.
IB3MOR3PR0 3 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0
ive driven all the cars on the TRACK ONCE on the street multiple times, and only the Lotus is my dad's friends, the LS2 GTO is my cousins and the skittle was my friends... ive played all the Forza games (not much of 4, its not mine) as well as all the GT series games the damage isn't optional in the GT Mode you retard, thanks for proving you have never played the game. and you expect me to believe you have a WRX (even though its not an STi i still highly doubt it) when you have no
stupidplants 3 months ago
@stupidplants I guess I've never played the disappointment of a game that I owned for 3 months. Pull your head out your ass. If I haven't played the game, Do you think I'd be here. Stating all that facts that made GT5 the biggest mistake of the GT series. If it wasn't for PD being such a lazy developer and only making 200 of the cars actually look decent, I wouldn't of even play forza 3. But any way your annoying, So have fun with the sorry excuse that passes for a so called "Simulator"
IB3MOR3PR0 3 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0
stating all the facts that are INCORRECT. you know you can play the whole game minus the FGT series in premium cars right? and the modeling on the standard cars isn't all that bad, i will give you that some are absolutely HORRID but others are great, and the interior on the only one actually you have to drive to beat the game to 100 percent looks good, and correct unlike some of the standard interiors which are about 90 percent shadow...
stupidplants 3 months ago
@stupidplants Im just stating the Correct facts about the piece of shit that is so called a "simulator" When I had played it, Which was the release day. It had terrible shadow edging, Only 200 premium car's. So only 200 cars with interior view. Even the premium lazyness of PD was in the tracks. Then there is the terrible A.I That can only follow the racing line.... JUST. So if this war is still about forza 4 being better than GT5. Then the facts and reviewing companies agree that F4 is better.
IB3MOR3PR0 3 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0
Your so full of shit troll you contradict yourself every other comment. the real world tracks were spot on in GT4, why would they get worse for GT5? you obviously went into playing the game biased if you feel the tracks are off, every car in the game has interior view... and the terrible AI that isn't terrible at all and doesn't follow the racing line 99 percent of the time? what about the AI in FM4 that you can flip and they never right themselves you can flip them on lap1 and win
stupidplants 3 months ago
@stupidplants First off it's You're* junior and I yet to contradict myself. And every car has interior view now that PD is still working on the terrible game they released way too early. And I didn't go into playing the game bias since GT5 being so terrible caused me to search for better racing games. Hence why I played Forza 3. And the GT5 A.I are terrible, They won't even slow down or swerve around you if it conflict's with the racing line. And when they crash into you there isn't even damage.
IB3MOR3PR0 3 months ago

ChickenCritters 3 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 - GT5 terrible lol? I think the only way to better it is to go outside and drive a real car. If you don't like GT5 then you aren't as passionate about cars as you think you are. The attention to detail in GT5 is vastly superior to Forza, which is a racing game aimed more at casual players. Don't get me wrong though its still a great game too, Ive been playing it alot recently, but it is in no way better than GT5, but not worse either.
SUPERBLAH28 2 months ago
@SUPERBLAH28 First off I am extremely passionate about cars, Have been all my life. But with GT5 i don't see the need for 16 MX-5's and 13 S2000's, Which is what PD has done to boost car numbers Also the attention to detail is higher in forza for the same reason the graphics are better. The polygon count for GT5 is about 400,000 for standard cars and 500,000-600,000 for the 200 premium cars. In forza all cars have 1,000,000 polygons. If you have really played it you would know that.
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 nope sorry your wrong. Only the autovista cars in forza4 are more detailed than gt5s premiums. The rest aren't. Do me a favour and go compare the F40 model from both games. The one in Forza4 is quite bad, lacking in lots of details (eg, the grills are just a texture, you cant see through them, and the lines on the headlight casing are bent, which isnt right). Alot of forzas other cars are the same. GT5 is more consistant.
SUPERBLAH28 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 - BTW if you want to make a real looking game, the first thing to do is get the lighting engine right. Forza still hasnt done that, where as GT5 has been spot on since gt4. No amount of extra detail and polygons will improve the realism of the game if the way the lighting bounces of paintwork and objects isnt correct. Notice in the above video how GT5 is almost exactly the same as real life lighting wise? now go look at forzas nurburgring. its close but no gt5
SUPERBLAH28 2 months ago
@SUPERBLAH28 I do have to admit that the light engine in forza isnt that great, But that is the only thing that GT5 beats forza 4 in. The rest I.E sounds, Car detail, Modification, Attention to detail, Tire and handling physics and pretty much every thing. Also the Auto vista and the fact that our top gear track isn't just a cheap little add in
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 -yeah I agree Forza has better sounds, customization etc. The physics are different to GT5 but aren't in anyway better for worse, its just a different take on how the car reacts though a controller. But tiny details in GT5 like how everycar has a detailed description on its history, and how every paintcolour is named after the real ones, and how there are fully animated pitcrews, and the very accurate tracks. thats the attention to detail i speak of.
SUPERBLAH28 2 months ago
@SUPERBLAH28 I have to agree with you apart from the tracks. The main let down with GT5 ( PD being lazy ) has effected the cars and tracks. That premium BS is even with the tracks. Like the difference between the amazing Rome tracks and the low quality of trial mountain <--- personal favorite. Also what I think makes forza 4 better is the actual sponsorship of TopGear with the auto vista mode track and how your driver is modeled from the stig.
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 - Yeah but atleast all the real tracks in GT5 are more acurate than the ones in Forza. such as nurburgring in the above video, suzuka, tsukuba etc. Forzas is slightly off in places.Yeah Top Gear is nice but PD don't need full TG sponorship to sell their game. Remember the Top Gear stuff is also aimed at the more casual car enthusiast to bring them into the game. If anything Forza sell out on it a bit too much. Modelled from the stig? so only white suit then
SUPERBLAH28 2 months ago
@SUPERBLAH28 You're wrong there. Not all the tracks in GT5 are as accurate as the ones provided in Forza 4, Such as suzuka, tsukuba, road america, Le man. Also how is TG stuff aimed at casual gamer? How is the worlds most renown automotive shot " Casual "? I would say that PD needed a phew more sponsors seeing as they are still working on their so loosely called "Simulator" that was released a phew years back.
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 -suzuka and suzuka are clearly more accurate in gt5, especially since they are in Japan too. Check youtube vids comparing real life laps to those in gt5/forza and you will see what I mean. Also Top Gear is geared towards a more casual audience these days, as opposed to shows like Fifth Gear, or maybe even Best Motoring that are watched by more serious car enthusiasts aswell. So having TG content is more likely to attract those 'casual' car enthusiasts.
SUPERBLAH28 2 months ago
@SUPERBLAH28 There were too many features that got taken out of GT5. PD had the Stig Challenge, which got taken out because they didn't have time to finish the game. While Turn 10 had enough time to fully implement the Top Gear feature.
whatnow1204 2 months ago
@whatnow1204 Yeah but it depends what you like. Id rather thave rally events, night racing/24hr cycle, weather effects etc... over TG content. The TG track is enough for me
SUPERBLAH28 2 months ago
@SUPERBLAH28 I agree. I never cared too much for Top Gear
whatnow1204 2 months ago
@SUPERBLAH28 But that's the thing, All those weather effects are at lower quality. And if you want to cruise a car down Le mans. For the car to be as beautiful as it is IRL you would have to hope that PD weren't lazy with that cars designing.
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 The Weather seems fine to me. Atleast it's there. You could attempt a whole 24hr races in GT5 with weather and day/night cycle if you wanted. Same goes for the Nurbergring 24hr. I don't understand what you mean by lazy? PDs team is one of the hardest working for 6 years straight. And you can tell that GT5 took 6 years of hard work to make. If you can't then you havn't played it through properly
SUPERBLAH28 2 months ago
@SUPERBLAH28 That just proofs PD's lazyness, They took 6 years to make a " Simulator" And yet they are still working on it. Only 200 out of the 1000 cars they bragged about having had incar view, Decent graphics, then the other 800 mazda and honda's had terrible design.
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 They never took 6 years to make a "simulator". The suspension and the tire physics got revamped after GT5 prologue. If they were that lazy that you claim, GTHD and GT vision would have gotten released with GT4's engine with no cockpit views, but fortunately, PD scrapped their GT4 current engine and cancelled both of those projects and created a brand engine in 2007 to fit the current gen's architecture. That's why it took 6 years. They're just trying to make the best for the ps3.
whatnow1204 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Of course they're working on it. You act as if PD is an independent company and they have the rules to decide on when they can release a game. If you want to blame someone, blame Sony. They're the one's that made PD to release an unfinished product because they wanted to make sales for the consoles. That's why in many interviews, Kaz, the creator of GT, wasn't satisfied the way he wanted the game to be (this was before the game came out). Many features got take out from the game.
whatnow1204 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 You obviously don't understand how long it takes to get things done. Lets see how long it takes turn 10 to make night time races, 24hr races, snow/rain weather effects, rally stages, 5 real life city tracks, animated pitcrews, over 10 photomode locations based on real places, a proper lighting engine for the graphics, and 200 premium cars that are more consistantly detailed than forzas, etc... all from scratch. all for a new console lol
SUPERBLAH28 2 months ago
@SUPERBLAH28 they already said they can't do weather and night racing for FM4 lol so that already tells us something. XD
obscuresword 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 You're forgetting on thing. PD only has 144 people working for them, and Turn 10 has 300. That's why FM2- 4 use pretty much the same physics engine with minor tweeks. Just saying if you're going to bash people for being lazy then bash turn 10.
obscuresword 2 months ago
@obscuresword How is turn 10 being lazy? They went out and individually recorded each sound for every car they have added to the game. Oh and turn 10 created a new physics engine that allows more realistic handling that PD could ever apply to their GT series. If you're going to bash a game. Then atleast play it first.
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 more realistic handling???? forza isnt even close when it comes to physics compared to GT5,not to mention that on X360 you cant have steering wheels like G25 G27 or DFGT.forza isnt best racing sim, like those fools were saying, neither gt5 is, pc sims are best in terms of physics, this is how it goes
Iracing 2.0-GTR-LFS-rfactor---GT5--FM4. looks like you havent even played gt5.But with sounds, they re better in FM4.Pc sims have them even better
Foxman196 2 months ago
@Foxman196 True, PC sims have everything because well all console games pretty much are develop from some kind of PC. PC has the best of everything, from sound, to graphics. But as you said FM4 doesn't even have support for the best wheels. Like GT5 even supports the Thrustmaster RS 400, and FM4 just got that Fanatec CSR, which most people hate lol.
obscuresword 2 months ago
@Foxman196 I agree that Pc racing sim literally shit all over console racers, But the G25 and G27 arn't as good as they've been gloryfied. I bought a G25 to play with GT5, And it was terrible. Even the standard xbox wheel is better than it. And I have played GT5 and it's shit, The sounds graphics and physics are terrible. The only cars the DONT understeer are the FWD cars. If it wasn't for GT5 being so bad i would of never tried forza 3.
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Oh and that's why GT5 has already made 4 drivers go from a simulator to real life right? Seriously don't try and say something that obviously isn't true. Forza hasn't even done that at all. The FM series widens tracks, caters to the arcade crowd, and with that becomes the overall easier game. Plus G27, G25, Thrustmaster, DFGT, GT Force and etc all crap on the xbox standard wheel. Haha shame on you for even thinking it's better.
obscuresword 2 months ago
@obscuresword The G27 and all those range of wheels are shit, They're not responsive and over glorified completely. Oh and GT5's 200 premium cars have like 500,000 polygons more or less, All of forza 4's cars have 1,000,000 polygons with better sounds and physics. GT5 Is as much a simulator as russia is a democracy. The only reason you say it's a simulator is because PD has lied about it being so.
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 You sir are retarded. ONLY AUTOVISTA CARS HAVE 1,000,000 POLYGONS! Look it up. And no they are not, you're just a fanboy spouting BS now. I don't have time for people who like to spout ignorance. You can go look up all the reviews for those wheels, and all of them have a better rating than that crappy Xbox 360 wheel. Heck even most people who own the 360 know the wheel is crap. The one that's been lied to is yourself. But it's ok since you're another delusion fanboy.
obscuresword 2 months ago 15
@obscuresword Aww, Whats the matter? Is someone feeling a little butthurt? I see you're out of facts if you've resorted to the fanboy insult. Also I'm not a fanboy, If it wasn't for GT5 being so terrible i would of never played forza 3.
IB3MOR3PR0 2 months ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 . Have you finded out that you're really annoying? I checked your comments. You're really ignorant. I've currently owned my G25 for two years now. It has worked fine. And as I said, you just ignore all the facts other people tell to you, and the replace the facts with you own ones. Seriosuly, GT5 is not nearly as bad as you make it seem to. And Forza 4 is not so good as you make seem to. I don't want to argue, but I don't truly like the way you talk.
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas The reason I don't listen to the facts other people tell me is because I've owned a G25 and it only lasted about a week. As for GT5 that was such a disappointment for me that it caused me to seek out better racing games. And i'm glad that PD is such a lazy developer. Its the reason why I actually tried forza and liked it immensely. And forza 4 is certainly alot better than is over rated garbage, Neither are sims, But forza 4 is alot closer.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Yet, again you're just replacing facts with your own ones. You know that GT5 has got many updates and it's a really good game now? And also, why do you state that PD is a lazy developer? Because it's not, PD is just a small developer. You just seem like a fanboy of Forza (lol no offense). People do like GT5, and some like a lot. It's not a bad game just if you don't like it. Please, do mature comments. I am not stating GT5 is the best game on earth, but it is a great game
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas But if PD just waited a phew more years and released it later GT5 would of been a great game, But they rushed it. Selling it before it was ready and it was a rather huge disappoint to me. I had been waiting for ages after playing the prolog and hoping that GT5 would be great. But it was just missing that spark that all other GT games had. It wasn't the same as it used to be. And for that I sincerely hate PD for ruining such a great series.

@IB3MOR3PR0 Whats PD?
Aj0ker1 1 month ago
@Aj0ker1 The developer of the GT series.....
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Okay, thanks
Aj0ker1 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Obviously you've understood things wrong. SONY wanted PD to release GT5 early to increase PS3 sales. Kazunori said himself in an interview, that he wanted a couple more years to develop GT5. So you're really dumb if you blame PD for all this.
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas I know all of this, And trust me junior you can't really call me "dumb". If kazunori really wanted to keep GT5 in development he would have. PD has the proprietary rights to the GT series, So they could of released it any time they wanted to. PD just got lazy in trying to over achieve, Hell they can't even get the sounds of the car right.... And yet its called a simulator.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 LoL. Sony pays all PDs wages, do opf course PD cant work if Sony oesn't want so. If Sony refuses to keep the developement going, of course they cant keep developing the game. So they just had to release it unfinished. Kaz has been patching the game, so it would become step by step to perfection. So it is really dumb to blame kazurori for all this.
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas But thats the thing, One of Sonys biggest marketing schemes for the PS3 is GT5. If they stopped paying PD to make it, Then they would loose an astronomical amount of income. Then they would have to find another way to earn their money. And to me that is kind of shame on PD's part. They've had the game out for what 2-3 years now, They're still patching it and it's still not as close as forza in the racing genre.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Well... duhh. I said it a little wrong. Sony just wanted GT5 out, because the production costs were already 80 million euros. It costed so much, that Sony wanted to see profit, and the game was released. And... I don't know if you are.. tired or something, but GT5 has been out for 1 year now (LOL). And also, GT5 is on par with Forza series, GT5 shines there where Forza 4 doesn't, and vice versa. People compare GT5 to FM4, because GT5 is great enough to be a contender.
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas Isn't that the same with the GT5 fanboy's comparing forza 3 with GT5. If forza 3 was good enough to be a contender. That pretty much means that forza 4 is the better game. From how I see it, Forza 4 has the better sounds ( Every one agrees to that ) Better Car modelings, Better physics, Better Modifications and a way of making each car unique to the others out there. So that only really leaves GT5 with a title that makes people think its a simulator.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Well no. Forza 4 isn't that big step over Forza 3. i would say Forza 4 and GT5 are on par of each other. I can agree with the sounds, but on my ming GT5 premiums look better and have better modeling than Forza 4 cars. Standards are different story though. And that physics thing isn't that obvious. how do you explain that Forza 4 has better physics? I agree that Forza 4 has better exteroir tuning, but it's not that important in sims. However.. these are just opinions.
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas Neither is GT5 a big step over GT4, In fact I would say that GT4 is better. In GT4 there is no difference between sounds or physics. Also the GT5 premiums aren't better quality because forza 4 cars have another 100,000-200,000 More polygons used on detailing them. Plus the GT5 physics are terrible. Every car under steers way too much, You can achieve flight in any super car, Drifting unrealistically simple. Then there's the whole premium and standard Nuance.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 So GT5 isn't a improvement over GT4? lol. Liar. How about 10 000 polygons (GT4) -> 500 000 polygons (GT5). How about the new weather/time changes? How about the track generator? Improved driving physics? How about the new nascar/karting/F1 cars? How about the improved engine sounds? Huh? No improvement?
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas First off, The physics engine is still the same one form GT4, Also there is little to no change in the time and weather changes from GT4. And there weren't any sounds improvements from GT4. The sounds are still the same computerized shit that they used to be. I find it really funny that because its got "simulator" Written on the case, That you think that GT5 is an actual racing simulator, If they wrote simulator on the case of hot wheels, Would you believe that too?
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 The hell you're talking about!? GT5's physics engine revamped from prologue's version which completely different from the previous games. If FM4 is so superior like you said then why does the cars behavior feels the same? The physics engine isn't revamped at all. The only thing that FM4 does well in is tire physics. How can you say there's no sound improvements in from GT4 and they revamped the lexus isf sound and other cars from GT prologue? You're an idiot
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Hell even the Forza fanboys on forums even admits GT5 has higher polys than FM4.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@whatnow1204 Who would know more about that game? The company the devolped it or the fanboys that play it? I don't know what forums you check but they're pretty stupid. Thats like if I found a forum saying that all GT5 Fanboys admit that forza 4 has the better physics. Its all a load of crap, I've yet to find any forza 4 player that has said what you just said.
Sincerely
Not an idiot :)
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 You know that Turn 10 has never released a valid polygons count to their cars? They said AutoVista cars have 1 mil polys, but nothing more. Just because they want to be proud of their 27 cars with thatlike graphics. Kaz honestly said that GT5 premium models have 200k polys on track, and 500k polys in showroom and photo travel. And also, Polyphony did use more time on modeling the premiums, so they do actually look better. Admit it.
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Why don't you go on forzamotorsportdotnet to check it out or just google it. Why do you see it so hard to believe that GT5 has better high quality models than what Forza 4 has? You haven't mentioned about the cars transitioning from FM3 to FM4 that looks the same identically with no better gfx . FM4 is is pretty much a disappointment because it's not a big step from FM3. Where the hell are the animated pit crews or night races? And this is their third title on the current gen 360!?
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@whatnow1204 You go on about these animated pit crews, Yet GT5 has very limited damage. And thats just for the 200 hundred premiums. For the other 800 or so Mazda and Hondas there is no damage modeling at all. Then there is the sounds, Im sure by now that you've realized that 85% of the cars sounds like a broken hair dryer. See I don't know about you, but i would rather have a car that can be damaged realistically and sound good instead of having a pit crew and a phew night races.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 animated pit crews, night racing, weather etc is you foundation of one of the most important element aspects of racing. How can games like shift 2, PGR4, F1 2011 etc. have these important features and Forza doesn't?
And you're going on about damages. Both games doesn't have realistic damage. I never driven a stock car for both games and crash at 30 mph getting a game over. That's not realistic, hence PD currently has licensing issues with that feature. That's why rally has a better
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Also, you can google negaf forza 4 vs gt5. Lots of users compare pics from them and people admit GT5 wins in that higher quality.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 The physics engine is totally revamped. Why do you think the developement wasc so long? Because the started from a scratch and created a new engine bla bla... And the sounds are also improved. If you would have played both, you would know. But obviously you haven't played both, fucking fanboys.
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL You're calling me a fanboy? I've got every single game in the GT series including all the prologs EVERY ONE OF THEM, So don't play the fanboy card here junior, Just because you have no valid argument. If any one is the fanboy its you, Have you played all of the forza series? Have you tried any actual racing simulators that put GT5 to shame to even use the word simulator on its case.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 damage than stock cars.
There's cars in Forza 4 that doesn't sound their real life counter parts. The same goes with GT5.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 If you have GT5, why are you saying invalid arguments? Fanboys are the ones who say false arguments. Yes I have tried the Forza series, but I haven't treid any real simulator. But just the fact that some sim is better simulator than GT5, doesn't make GT5 not to be simulator. I am not trying to be fanboy, I am just wondering.
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas My arguments are valid, If GT5 is to be classed as a sim. Shouldn't it have good sounds, Graphics, Damage visuals and good A.I. GT5 Is no where near simulator qualit, Not even close. I'm not saying Forza 4 is either.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Let me educate you with some facts:
Sim = physics calculations; not sound,
Damage could have been better: /watch?v=ajtw356Ct3I this advance damage feature wasn't in the game (licensing issues) including car scratches didn't make the cut.
A.I is proven to be better than FM4. A.I drivers are well aware of you. Playing Fm4 A.I is one of the biggest complaints from the forza community, and yet this is their third installment on the series this gen *smh. you want me to give you links?
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 If you're comparing ps2 era cars with ported tracks like trial mountain, laguna etc, I will agree with you about FM4 has better graphics. But premium quality, there's no comparison. No other game out there put so much detail with the interiors like in GT5. Animated paddle shifting/ manual shifting (shown in interior replay views), high/low beams (color varies for each car), high quality texture like leather, crock etc, Day/Night cycles with dynamic lighting and more.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 And you're talking about FM4 graphics, and yet u haven't mentioned the same cars are ported from FM3 to FM4 without being highly tessellated. The only difference is lighting/shadows and autovista. And yet the game still uses pre baked lighting reflections that still have flickering issues in some cases. And few interior tweaks which doesn't equal graphics (in polygons) in racing gameplay...that's it:
watch?v=Ad-wxnriwe8 : proves my argument. You can't hardly tell the difference.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 The damage video I provided you doesn't use pre damage modeling like you see in Forza, it uses an advance feature of the damage deformation calculations which each poly deforms per second. The only thing it need was broken glass and airbags popping out at a certain speed which would have blown Forza 4 out the water if they had it. But unfortunately, that feature didn't make the cut including removable paint because of licensing issues.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 No, all of your arguments are not valid. You said the sounds are not improved from GT4, but they are. You said the physics are not improved from GT4, but they are. I agree that a good sim should have good physics, A.I and damage, but sounds and graphics don't make a sim. GT5 simulates DRIVING really well. Also GT5s A.I is better than the FM4 counterpart.
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@MrUppmas The sounds aren't improved from GT4, They're still the same dreary sounds that they were in GT4. And for a game to be a simulator shouldn't it be as close to as its real life counterpart? So sounds and graphics do count towards making a simulator. And GT5 doesn't drive well at all. Every car under steers WAY to much, But cars can also stop on a dime from 150Mp/h. And the A.I can't even swerve around you if it conflicts with the racing line in GT5.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Well it seems that you just like to complain pretty much about anything... bye bye
MrUppmas 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Actually the sounds have changed since prologue. Here's some more facts to prove how much inaccurate information you're providing.
This is the original isf in prologue /watch?v=6pvBu69keNg
This is GT5's version: watch?v=3P0bXlpFoAQ
So where are you getting your info from regarding no sound changes from GT4?
Actually the a.i can swerve around you without a racing line. Like I said earlier, the A.I are aware of you.
Are you sure you played GT5?
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@whatnow1204 You caught me. I've got a collection of every other GT game ever created for shits and giggles. Of course I've played GT5. When I played it ( Which was about 2 days after release) There was little to no difference between GT4. The sounds were the same, The physics were still terrible. And the A.I were about as smart as a dipstick. They couldn't even swerve around me to over take. They just rammed straight up my ass and spun out. That was before the game crashed twice.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 Yes I 100% agree with you regarding the A.I about crashing into you or hard braking so you hit the back of the car easily. That was one of my and the community including IGN (usually called them zombies on review) problems with the A.I. The A.I.'s been improved through updates since release.
watch?v=wgXBaM2yPL0 : This is since the update to prove the A.I is aware.
A.I. no longer crashes into you and/or they hard brake. If you're close to them in a curve, they move out the way.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 I'm guessing you haven't updated your game. The physics totally got revamped since GT prologue. When you're in a curve the car is meant to oversteer if you're pressing on the throttle hard. If you're drivetrain is FF, the car is meant to understeer because it's front engine front wheel drive which of course means your front wheels spinning whilst your engine is in the front so it adds lots of weight to your car giving you a hard time turning in curve. GT5 done a good job with physics
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 I have every other GT game also including tourist trophy. I don't need to read up specs for a car I have in GT5 because you can tell the different with the drive train.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 watch?v=31bH2t2X95g : Here is a video (and read the description) that shows how much the physics are changed since GT4 and how they feel towards real life.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@whatnow1204 This proofs one thing, That the physics in GT5 are the same as a driver that can't keep up with the rest of the pack. I had also noticed at those low speeds the GT5 game play had suffered from quiet abit of under steer, And that once again. It has been proven the GT5 sounds are terrible.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 I'm just trying to prove a point to you for the fact that GT5's physics got revamped after GT5 prologue. He even said his virtual car behaved similarity towards his real car. It just proves that GT5 is indeed considered a sim. It may not be 100% but its accurate more than enough for this gen.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 The mazda miata cars in GT5 that sounds towards real life that they actually done more accurately with the sounds whilst the one in FM4 sounds more of a tune up car and not like a stock car.

whatnow1204 1 month ago
@whatnow1204 That there isn't true, Its known fact the PD used auto tuning programs to create the majority of the car sounding. Even the GT5 fanboys admit to the game sounding terrible. Where as turn 10 actually sounds recorded all featured cars with microphones and sounds equipment set up in key areas.
Forza: /watch?v=I07SwrI89Hs
Real life: /watch?v=I07SwrI89Hs
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 No you're giving out misleading information, both games uses dynometers to record the engine sounds PD kaz said that. I will admit the majority of GT5 engine sounds aren't accurate as in Forza especially if you don't have a 5.1 setup. But just because GT5's majority of engine sounds aren't good doesn't mean that they didn't record it properly. I'm sure GT5 sounds got compressed in their computers to ensure the quality of the game.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@whatnow1204 That's odd, This is the only statement you've provided with out any evidence to it. Do i suspect some BS going on here? Even the majority of the people of the forums agree that PD uses and recreates the sounds using computers and auto tune devices.
IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago
@IB3MOR3PR0 See now you're giving out speculation. It's not BS. Why do you find it so hard to believe the fact that they use the same tech as T10. They don't recreate sounds It's just that PD's output sounds more distorted compared to their real counterparts to ensure quality of the game. I will be more than happy to provide you the link to give you proof :)
whatnow1204 1 month ago

@IB3MOR3PR0

IB3MOR3PR0 1 month ago

I would say GT5's chase cam is better than cockpit views regarding sounds.
whatnow1204 1 month ago
@whatnow1204 Wouldn't that just proof that forza 4 has the better quality in sounds? If GT5 is using 7.1 surround settings and forza only using basic up to 5.1. Then why does forza 4 still sound better? If GT5 uses all these high quality sound devices to record their car sounds, Why do the cars still sound like broken hair dryers?
