Paul is saying in that particular passage that it doesn't profit anyone if he were to preach in tounges. read closely. Secondly. That is the order for a service. Certainly if all a church did was gather and speak in tongues the entire time then no one would know what was going on. This is what the scripture references. Paul acknowledges the importance of speaking in tongues in service in 1 Cor. 14. But clearly states that it is for the edification of the person, not the church body.

@qicko100 Sounds to me like you need to read alittle bit deeper.

Try reading Acts 2. You can start around verse 12 if you like. The infilling of the Holy Ghost on the apostles on the day of Pentecost was signified by the speaking of other tounges, languages that the crude fishermen couldn't have known but the guests to Jerusalem did. Then they all marveled at what was going on and said "These men are full of new wine". Sounds like something was going on similar to her experience to me.
