i play $50+$2 DoN's and you must win 3/5 of your games to become profitable, the whole idea is that your paying so much in rake, and unless your colluding/ have a 100% full proof strategy (asuming no bad luck) then your just not going to be profitable in the long run, maybe for a day youll be good but youll be done over :)

Double or Nothings have changed. Last few times I played them the non-turbos lasted between 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 hours. Not a wirthwhile play considering you only get your money back minus rake.

Pokerstars is a scam. I had my account closed for no reason and funds were taken by PokerStars about 2 weeks ago. They claimed some excuse that a bot was playing on an account that they "linked" to my account. They said the account used my name and that's how they linked them. I only had about $100, and I hadn't played in 6 months, so they probably didn't care about keeping me as a customer, and cared more about the $100 they could take from my account.

You'd have to win about 10 games per hour to make $30 an hour. I just can't see you or anyone for that matter maintaining a win rate like that. In this video you say you've only played 100 games. That's a TINY sample size which means nothing.

Here is my suggestion, remember control your tilt and play with in your bankroll, never buy into a cash game with more than 5% of your total bankroll so 25 dollars, no more than 1.25 and 2% in tournaments so about 50 cents.
keeping strict bankroll management and setting a session to limit yourself to play 1-3 small tournaments or 2-3 big tournaments a night you will be good.
Also i suggest saving your money until you can deposit 200 dollars on pokerstars, its hard to grind from 25 up.

You should have bet, not checked the actions. He may have just hit middle pair... or he may have just been like me and knew you'd fold cuz its a DON and you checked the action.
my opinion, not the right way to play these. he played with odds, in DON dunnot play with odds. by example 26Q with 44 is a must fold, even to a smaller bet. not risk your stack on such situation, push hard with big hands and stay out of the way if you do not flop a set with these small pockets
yes u played just one hand, you played it badly and still won. trying to hit a set against 1 oponent out of position is a waste of chips in DON. and now, people learned to play it a little bit more and pretty much tight even on the smallest stakes.
It is a much higher standard now. DoNs always last at least 30 minutes and you will never get away with playing just one hand any more - even at $1 level. They are still pretty easy to win though, just not as laughably easy as they were when this video was made.
i don't know if these are better than regular sit n goes but ya it's worth the try i did 8 today at the same time $22 buy in it seemed pretty easy even at that lvl so maybe you should move up at the $11 at least

I cant agree more. Simple patience wins these almost 90% of the time. And any constant way to add to bankroll is good. They will sorta wear you down because simple patience is rarely a players strongsuit. 3 or 4 times a week I can play these without losing focus. I do 4 at a time - 21.60 to start then mabye 2 rounds of the 54's. This averages 130 to 300. How thats a waste of time I dont know, unless your losing. At least 5 times (out of maybe 30 sessions) I hit 7 or 10 of 12 or better. Good Vid
All you have to do is wait for a strong hand, and get paid, also watch the other players and see who is playing more then 1 of these at a time, they are super easy to steal from
I prefer the $1.15 non-turbo's. The blinds don't go up as fast, so I can just sit back and play it tight. I just let them knock each other out whilst waiting for a strong hand to see a flop with. Won 7 in a row today :o)
I've played the 50 dollar ones, and I can assure you, these are a waste of time and money. If this table is representative of the lower stake ones, then they might be a good bankroll building tool, but you definitely have to play a bunch at once in order to show profit. Nice vid.

It is bigger, has more games and game types. But it all comes down to preference. I play both, but I play mainly on stars. I enjoy both sites and feel both have great things to offer their players

Those double or nothing tournaments are a cute idea, but I've never really cared for them much only because they are basically no different than a typical heads up sng as far as the profit margin goes, and they are actually somewhat more difficult in my mind than a heads up sng.

You should have bet, not checked the actions. He may have just hit middle pair... or he may have just been like me and knew you'd fold cuz its a DON and you checked the action.

my opinion, not the right way to play these. he played with odds, in DON dunnot play with odds. by example 26Q with 44 is a must fold, even to a smaller bet. not risk your stack on such situation, push hard with big hands and stay out of the way if you do not flop a set with these small pockets

yes u played just one hand, you played it badly and still won. trying to hit a set against 1 oponent out of position is a waste of chips in DON. and now, people learned to play it a little bit more and pretty much tight even on the smallest stakes.

It is a much higher standard now. DoNs always last at least 30 minutes and you will never get away with playing just one hand any more - even at $1 level. They are still pretty easy to win though, just not as laughably easy as they were when this video was made.

i don't know if these are better than regular sit n goes but ya it's worth the try i did 8 today at the same time $22 buy in it seemed pretty easy even at that lvl so maybe you should move up at the $11 at least

pretty good vid but i find it almost impossible to believe you when you say youve played in a hundred of these and only not cashed a "handful" of times. ive played plenty of these tournies myself and generally they are pretty easy but to win that many times, is just not realistic no matter how you play it, and if you are that brillant you wouldnt be playing the $5 ones anymore.

Enjoyed this video. These are looser than they should be at the moment so can definitely make some money at the moment. In a years time these will be ubber tight until $100 - $200 but at the moment they are certainly not. You probably only have to genuinely last two places in general to cash.

Easy cash,agree.Began with the $1+.10,now just playing $10+.40 or $20+.80,those are the only ones I play right now.I started in pokerstars with 20 bucks 20 days ago,and now my bankroll is over 400$ just playing this kind of SnG.

i had a $1+.15 that was done before we hit $100 BB... the first big stack kept getting decent hands and pushing and knocked out a bunch of players quickly...

I cant agree more. Simple patience wins these almost 90% of the time. And any constant way to add to bankroll is good. They will sorta wear you down because simple patience is rarely a players strongsuit. 3 or 4 times a week I can play these without losing focus. I do 4 at a time - 21.60 to start then mabye 2 rounds of the 54's. This averages 130 to 300. How thats a waste of time I dont know, unless your losing. At least 5 times (out of maybe 30 sessions) I hit 7 or 10 of 12 or better. Good Vid

All you have to do is wait for a strong hand, and get paid, also watch the other players and see who is playing more then 1 of these at a time, they are super easy to steal from

I prefer the $1.15 non-turbo's. The blinds don't go up as fast, so I can just sit back and play it tight. I just let them knock each other out whilst waiting for a strong hand to see a flop with. Won 7 in a row today :o)

I've played the 50 dollar ones, and I can assure you, these are a waste of time and money. If this table is representative of the lower stake ones, then they might be a good bankroll building tool, but you definitely have to play a bunch at once in order to show profit. Nice vid.

It is bigger, has more games and game types. But it all comes down to preference. I play both, but I play mainly on stars. I enjoy both sites and feel both have great things to offer their players

Those double or nothing tournaments are a cute idea, but I've never really cared for them much only because they are basically no different than a typical heads up sng as far as the profit margin goes, and they are actually somewhat more difficult in my mind than a heads up sng.
