The gtr suspension provides a much smoother ride than the gt3 (i know firsthand) although its not somthing I'd want everyday. I dont know how people think its stupid to compare NA to Boosted cars eaither, the gt3 is a car with just the basics and the gtr has anything and everything...

Oh if u have firsthand knowledge fair enough then. Its just that in the last issue of evo, Henry Catchpole drove one all over the UK, the 2012 model and he said it had a bumpy ride. And the 997.2 GT3 and GT3 RS 3.8 were known for having fairly smooth rides (not the RS 4.0 though).

But yeah, the GTR (and 911 Turbo) is a car that can be driven everyday. In fairness, Im not sure why the GT3/RS cannot be driven everyday but anyway, I guess ppl think a manual a pain 2 use everyday

@StigRossi I've riden in the rs 3.8 as soon as the road isan't super smooth its bad, the dampening just isant there. The gtr soaked up the bumps and cracks in the road much better at 30-45mph. the gt3 isant a car that you can fit more than 2 people in and can go and buy some groceries. My current daily is a stick so no prob with it. Plus I live in a state where Im going to be getting 15-20in of snow tomorrow so AWD is a must for me

Dude the GT3 CANNOT live w/ a GTR in a straight line. The GTR approaches superbike like acceleration and the GT3 just isnt close. However to be fair, it isnt trying to be. It doesn't have turbos or AWD, which are necessary to get these insane headline figures. Its trying to just be a very engaging car to drive

Amazing. In the 993 series you needed the Turbo model to reach that kind of speed. This 997 non-turbo does similar top speed as the old 993 Turbo which then leads to the question - how fast is the 997 Turbo model? Porsche - there is no substitute.
