  • Cocky, I'm happy you are playing better golf. I was happy you gave the swing a try but it is unfortunate you did not stick with it. Just so you know, I do have students who are currently using the swing and they are loving the game of golf. And that is what it should be about, to me at least. No so much the need to become the next Jack Nicklaus but the ability to say that we are enjoying ourselves. Once again, I'm happy you are happy with your game. Good luck. AK

  • I just dont see how this is in anyway an advantage? Also the downswing action is very OTTish. Ive improved massively with TGM and sound fundamentals-this is just a joke really. No offence meant AK, but noone is gonna play with this.

  • At time 3.40 impact position is ridiculous-hands should be way ahead of the ball for impact-not back at address.

  • I am in Australia and I'll be at the range tomorrow and you are coming with me. I'll let you know how it goes.

  • @TheJimmyNewc How did it go?

  • @PowerSlotSwinger I failed

  • @PowerSlotSwinger But I'll try again.

  • @PowerSlotSwinger I'm forever practising and shooting garbage scores. I just get sick of practising and then scoring like a Japanese businessman. It's a waste of time.

  • @TheJimmyNewc You just have to practice the right things. Three quick check points: simply turn your hand/wrists to get your club in the proper set up position (watch the pro do this), keep your arms in front of your body as you turn away from the ball (don't let lower arm pull behind you) then bend it and boom it. Golf can be a hard game but if you practice the right things, it will become easier. Keep at it and thanks for the attempts. All good. AK

  • bigzeus14, I am, but locally right now until I make a full length video and publish the book I wrote. NY golf season has finally begun - still raining all the time - and I looking forward to lowering my handicap and teach some more interested golfers the swing. Have a great season and continue to have fun playing golf. AK

  • u still promoting ur swing AK???

  • this kinda looks like mike austin swing

  • Regarding my "hitch," lets just call it my way to start my swing. In tennis, I would do what is called a "split-step," to get myself set before I had to move to get to the ball. My little pre-swing bounce is just my way of setting up for the remainder of the swing. Call it my habit but certainly you do not have to make it yours. Too bad winter is here but already looking forward to next season. Oh, and all comments are definitely welcome. Good, bad or ugly because it is all good. AK

  • You have invented nothing. It is a conventional swing with a "hitch" in it almost as bad as Charles Barkley and about as silly.

  • I recently met Andy at a driving range when I inquired about his unorthodox swing. Myself and a buddy of mine took a few tips from andy and started hitting with the power slot swing. We were both hitting longer and straighter shots. It does take some getting used to but the swing automatically puts you in the perfect position to pummel the ball. Thanks again andy.

  • I found this method works really well with my driver and woods, but had trouble taking clean divots with the irons, especially the lower irons, from 6iron down to 3.

One thing I did as to not look like a total goof and not draw attention, is just add it to the beginning of your swing, so it looks like you just have some sort of hitch in your takeaway.

  • I just don't see how a standard takeaway isnt as good as that!? What is the benefit of this-I dont get it.

Plus if I did that I would be laughed at by everyone I played with-unless I became very very good (which is unlikely!!!!)

  • @cockywatchman1976 Cocky, thanks for your reply but have you tried the swing? Today I worked with a college golfer who after 10 minutes said he was hitting the best shots of his life. So let me use this experience to answer your questions:

    1. When I asked him to go back to his, "standard swing," all he could do was say how awful it felt.

    2. You would not be laughed at if you start to play well and take your friends' money.

Trust me Cocky, the swing works so give it a try. AK

  • @PowerSlotSwinger Hi, I will try it..trust me I will try anything to get in the slot. The comment about being laughed at, yeah sure, if I improved I wouldnt care.

Its just I dont understand what the technical benefit it? Is it that it takes away the potential for a takeaway error?

  • @cockywatchman1976 I viewed your swing and thought that we could do an interesting experiment. I would love to give you your own PowerSlot lessons via YouTube. Cocky, I am confident that I can teach you the swing via YouTube and in no time have you as my college student said, "hit the best shots of your life." Let me know but to answer your question, yes, the set up takes away the potential for a takeaway error. As I always say, "Minimize the Movement and Maximize the Swing." Let me know. AK
