  • the back of my xha1 is quiet different to your one.

  • @ninjashidan then its probably like a XH-A1s

  • Haha love the old intro, good times

  • Does this camera create rendering problems when it comes to editing in Final Cut Pro?

  • Can i use this on a stedycam or glide cam?

  • What is the Flip Module's product name? Brand and all...

  • Booring!......

  • why can't I see the results in comparison to standard setup? and after all: sorry but I just cannot trust a homevideo-magazine where the host doen't even have a own microphone. Sound is just bad.

So, Good intention, nice setup, but catastrophic presentation.

  • you do not need all that to make very good HD videos do you?

sorry but do not have a lot of money so if i did get one it will only be XH A1

  • How does one get 22,000 views and a partner program? Did you pay Youtube heaps of money ffs?

  • can I use 7" car monitor with my Canon FS100?

  • @MrLukasDiSparrow if it has AV input than yes.

  • Hi Tony.

How do you get the video on the DV Tape onto your HDD for editing??

  • @JillmanPhoto You've probably got a firewire port on your DV/HDV cam - connect that up and then capture your footage using your editing software. If you're using the canon XH A1 it's on the back under the panel next to the battery compartment.

  • is that rig just to make it look professinal or does it improve the video in any way?

  • Nice sound! My God!

  • Are u happy with ur HDV or would u swoop it for anothr 5D?

  • I LOVE REDROCK!!!

  • How much would you say you spent for this entire rig?

  • you don't need to get a flip mod. If you just losen the screws on the lcd it flips the screen around its self

  • dont these cost $7,300? camera alone.

  • @sideshow45 No! xh1a is 3-4 grank not 7 ha, still...

  • @BBrtqB damn misleading websites. damn them to hell. haha

  • @sideshow45 haah oh and i said grank not grand luls

  • how I can film and the same time tranfer on same flashcard or external memory?

  • '

my canon digital A-1 videocamera Hi8MM is not working

  • I guess audio isn't very important to this guy.

  • HOW MUCH? $

  • you dont need to flip it. Theres a screw on the monitor well just under it turn it a little and your screen with flip :)

  • VEry good! I ordered a Redrock MIkroMount as well!

Could you tell more about the MatteBox from geardear? Wich exactly u bought? Comes it with a rail amount connector? Some more Details about function?

Thanks! and Thanks a lot for your blog!

  • Is that a pirate shirt he's wearing?

  • which editor you use? I have the same camera but I have problems to edit I use sony vega, do you recommend? thanks

  • @pegasocelis Adobe After Effects CS4

  • @Zethux No way!... AE is for motion graphics and visual effects...

  • how do you mount your monitor

  • a Noga Arm

  • @NextWaveG Link to Noga Arm? (B&H, please.)

  • Great video. Loved the lighting. I just subscribed and have only one suggestion: If possible, could you include a list of your items at the end? It would be easier to pause and take notes. Again, thanks for offering this.

  • Nice Rig!!

  • Nice rig! What kind of focus puller do you use? And are the attachment equipment included when you buy the manhattan?

  • I don't think that the arm came with the monitor but the battery pack does

  • I really enjoyed your videos. I noticed you use a Davis and Sanford provista, how good is this tripod. You seem to buy really good expensive stuff, this tripod is not. Please explain. I have a Canon xl1s. Thanks

  • wich camera have the best image quality?

    3ccd or 3cmos?

  • 3cmos

  • @bouchandre

In all technicality, the 3CCD produces a better image, with fewer glitches, but a more varying light sensitivity, and drains a battery much, much faster. 3CMOS uses much less power, but has issues with rolling shutter jello effect, and some other issues. CMOS was developed for still cameras, not for video, and has only really been taken up by video for the cost (cmos is much cheaper) and power conservation benefits.

  • congratulations i really enjoyed your videos, that is what i call setup!! please show us more detalis about where we can find thoose gears and attachements.

  • res one?

  • Love your setup! Im shooting with xha1 too, And going to buy 35mm adapter soon. What lenses du you use, and recommend?

  • Could you tell me what kind of editing software you use?

  • nice video, how much does a rig like that cost, and what kind of editing software do you use?

  • I was just wondering if that could be mounted on a jib?

  • depends on the weight threshold of the jib. The rig weighs 15+ lbs. and a jib like the ProAm wouldn't be able to handle it very well. You get a Kessler Crane or a Jimmy Jib....then you might be able to. But I will say that I have seen other camera rigs like mine used on jibs before.

  • oh,ya, I love your rig!!!!!

  • I just wanted to thank you for these videos. I have the same camera and want to do the same thing as you are doing. I have not gone to school to learn any of this so i am learning on the fly....

  • Thanks for this! This is great

  • isnt that an 8.9in screen... not 11?

  • It is the Manhattan LCD HD109A which stands for 10.9". If you watch the video in HD you can see the model #.

  • your right... i just found it but it seems they are out of stock at this point...

  • The XHA1 is a great cam, you can do quite a bit with it. I really like the on board XLRs.

  • Love these. Thank you. Keep the good work up!
