  • Fantastic! it's the first time i've heard Paganini on the guitar sound as good as on the violin. Bravo

  • average. pls listen from Li Jie and feel the triplets

  • Pizzicato part was really bad.

  • @BachTeen1 Obiusly you can do it better ;)

  • Compare to su meng´s performance or li jie´s one. Its terribly far from them and when they performed it perfectly they were a pair of little girls. Dont try beethoven please, it would break my heart.

  • @playsosoft There is no comparison between tom's and these girls performance. Tom's is light years ahead and can be compared to a great violin performance. Li Jie and Su meng both have a forced sound with an unmusical accent on the first beat of almost every bar. This is very far from the bel canto style that Paganini was influenced by. The best performance of caprice 24 from one go Chen Zhi's students is wang yameng anyway!

  • @atlasttheworld I prefer su meng´s one, its beautiful.

  • @playsosoft And what Beethoven are you talking about? you do know he wrote nothing for the guitar right?

  • @atlasttheworld Yes, ANd this capricce isnt for guitar neither. You should know exist such thing named Transcription and there a lot of transcriptions for beethoven´s piano pieces, even for the second movement of 7th symphony.

  • I have to say.....Li Jie version was so much better....

  • @ThePredster Oh but you should hear John Williams version ...... his is much better than Li Jeu. Go listen .... now.

  • @darkoanton5 Whoa....that was actually quite amazing. Yes possibly even better then Li Jie's version

  • Esta música ele tocava quando estava começando a aprender a ler partitura...

  • su meng version is the best!!!

  • I'm so happy that this man is attracting new listeners to this wonderful music. I have listened to many great players such as John Williams, Julian Bream, Paco de Lucia and Pepe Romero and to this day I have yet to hear anyone that plays with such beauty and soul as Andres Segovia.

  • I prefer li jie ..... but is good!!! =D

  • good

  • I'm afraid Aniello Desiderio played it much better.

Your techniqe is quite good but you're not really making music... you try too much to show off (play faster and faster) and you're missing the point...

  • @varmarify who are you to say this isnt music

  • @varmarify You have no idea what your talking about. He plays it a lot like most violin players and you are supposed to show off technically with Paganini. You are missing the point. Please give a link to Aniello Desiderio's version, i didn't know he played it.

  • You're an amazing guitarist, respect :)

  • he looks like he just woke up

  • Cleanest arpeggios on a classical ever.

  • I think i've seen a Japanese lady playing this song much much much better then him.. He often loses his tempo a lot in this demo. too bad. but keep up the good work.

  • bravo ! but, at 0:53, melody is not the usual one. Another version of Paganini ??

  • sounds dirty that long nails are for the photo :-S

  • He plays it amazingly but it just sounds that his nails are just a tad bit scratchy or too long.

  • amazing, but his fingers gets a little tired at the end. It's all about the breathing

  • amazing, but his fingers gets a little tired at the end.

  • The best performance of Caprice No. 24 on guitar I have ever seen. Simply amazing

  • @ravravrav check out lie jie version

  • @guitarreilly this is better :)

  • @Landigio its really not but i guess its your opinion

  • I feel like an idiot...

  • Hes nails sounds to much imo

  • @JensTwn He doesn't dig in at all, sacrificing tone and volume for speed - also it's possible he's using glue ons or ping pong balls instead of real nails.

  • @JapJackson Bullshit comment there is no sacrifice and the tone is great. Please explain 'dig in'? For this piece he has small natural nails I have his DVD and you can see them. He also plays some gypsy music with very long acrylics nails but not for the classical pieces on the DVD.

  • @atlasttheworld Digging in - using flesh and nail rather than only nail. His tone is weak and thin because he does not utilize any flesh but only nail. It's not bullshit, and it's pretty common nowadays with a lot of new guitar players.

  • bravo solo un po' fuori tempo! però bravo!! complimenti :)

  • In all sincerity, the best Guitar video I have seen, to date.

    Amazing. Thank you!

  • Well done man! Could you tell me about that leg piece? Where did you get it and did it need to be installed? Thanks! :)

  • wow this is great and i love the video style as well ... what type of guitar are you playing? looks very comfortable

  • I agree...simply amazing! I can't believe in two months you still have less than 200 hits on this. One of the very best renditions of the piece I have ever seen or heard. Much Respect to you....Love and hugs...BlackieSteele...xoxox

  • Amazing, simply amazing. Where can I buy your songs? I love this one so much :D
