You can lower the opacity and flow, then use the brush that changes opacity with sensitivity (assuming you have a tablet). Color picking works very well, too. I've just never seen someone draw some color in that way and smudge. It's like traditional drawing and smudging mixed with a digital medium! xD

actually many artists works the way like semmy888 does. Tbh I think that it's one of the easiest ways to work and it gives a very good result. keep up the good work and draw the way you feel is best for you!

Very interesting style. Draw some then smudge? Are you using a tablet? If so, try to stay away from the smudge tool. :P Good, though! :D
