So bad ass. If you are a true rocker, you can't help but love Chickenfoot. Joe Satriani is certainly one of, if not the best, living guitarists in the world. Other than the late, great Stevie Ray Vaughn, very few have ever been able to do Jimi Hendrix's songs justice.

At first I thought.. "Awesome" finally I get to hear Satch play this song live and with Chickenfoot playing the rest I knew it was gonna be good.. and make no mistake this is one of the best Hendrix covers I've heard.. but it still leaves me "wanting".. namely because Satch is just too "clean".. Hendrix blended messy, out-of-control style with sharp and catchy melodies.. Satch just didn't get "out of control" enough in this one. :) You really need to "lose it" big time with a song like this. :)

Anyway, if you are using brand new strings, before you tighten that puppy down and with the guitar on your lap, pull on the strings to stretch them out. On the sixth, fifth and fourth you should almost be lifting the guitar up a little pulling on each string individually. Pull accordingly on the rest. The first day or so with brand new strings, they're going to go out a little, usually down...cnt'd...

@zomgitzakitteh ... so, before you tighten the nut, try to unscrew the microtuners to a point where you leave yourself room - but not to the breaking point because initially after you tighten the nut, you will most likely have to lower the pitch a tiny bit (you'll get used to where to leave the micros). After a few hours of playing, the strings will be broken in and then you can bomb the shit out of the thing and that bitch will stay in tune. If you have any other Q's, lmk. Hope I helped.
