The suggestion that the cathedral spire is below sea level is ridiculous. If you look to the front you will see the Avon River which runs to the sea. Christhurch is built on an alluvial plain and the Cathedral is about 100 feet above sea level. It is one of the safest places on earth. M

?? Not too many, more asians. However, Its still the most dangerous city in New Zealand. Personally i'm glad i moved from there.
