This is the most beautiful and elegant piece I have ever heard in my life. The contrapuntal texture makes the piece rum so smoothly. The piece is just wonderful, as is your artwork too. Brilliant video.
I always loved this since I first heard it, but it now has poignant associations for me A friend of mine was a professional cellist who was practising this piece while I was over at her flat. Later that year she died in a house fire and I can't hear it without remembering that tragic event.
In this piece you can hear most clearly there are two pianos: one plays the 'water' (broken chords) and the other plays the 'waves' (piano arpeggios).
Yeah... pop culture sucks... but only in the relevance of it's time... I'm pretty sure poeple thought the same about Mozart at his days... they may have said - oh, such a talent! wasting it on pop-classical music! hahaha (just kidding of course!)
Just to tell you, your numbers are a bit out of order and where in le Grande March? Ive performed this peice numerous times ... as principal cellist at that so I played the solo parts. But in all this piece is by far my favorite! But im violoncello so of course its mine lol.
I love all "Carnaval of Animals", as a matter of fact - Camille Saint-saens is one of my favourite composers... I've always dreamt of doing the "carnaval of animals" in claymation...
Hopefully I'll redo it one day but better.
If you like it too, and the claymation, be sure to watch all 15 bits - by their number... I hope you enjoy.

Well Mozart was mainly hated besides by a few church officials and was not recognised until around 50 years after his death.

Well... some princesses liked him too :)
But as far as I remember he was loved amond the royalty...
But my memory isn't as it used to be...

yeah recorders like to play stupid with this genre of music. They always focus on Pop Culture rather then the String/horn pieces.

Hmmm... thanks fo your comment :)
If the parts are out of order it's probably the orchestra's fault (or the record company) ;)
always good when you can blame others... right? haha
Glad you like it though :)
