  • I find it curious that I use a very similar shaving techinique, as in passing my fingers across the area before and after each stroke of the razor, and yet I am not blind. I just find that the eyes aren't very reliable as far as reaching a perfect shave :)

  • is it redundent that this video is for the blind?

  • Man he presses hard while shaving and goes fast. I'm not visually impaired, but often shave without a mirror. Regardless of your situation in life, I'd suggest going a little slower and using less pressure so you don't cut yourself.

  • SEARCH MULTIPASS SHAVING WITH CHIP SPALDING!!!!!!!

  • hehe, he is so cute ! ^^

  • how is a blind person supposed to watch this? hahahahah

  • How can you not want to cry watching this, I feel so sorry for the dude just watching him and listening to him talk.

  • @joshbryan90

I don't get it. What about this video makes you want to cry or feel sorry for the guy? He seems pretty upbeat to me, plus he's trying to help folks out with a pretty useful living skill.

  • nice video, but did this guy even need to shave? he looked pretty baby face before the shave

  • how are blind ppl suposed to see what is on the screen

  • dude 0:00 to 01:30 is he reading with his hands?

  • @andre4GBRAM Yes, he is blind and reading a script in braille.

  • OH! Did you know that theirs a video on here that's got a machine for blind people to read Braille on a computer?! It's frickin INSANE. I'm studying to be a computer security and network specialist and I'm stumped on how that works!

  • I feel sorry for them as well, but I know we shouldn't. Their living just of a normal life as everyone else, but just in a different way. This dudes even got a wife. Good for you sir. Good for you! :) I would do anything to help the blind people :). I'd like to meet this guy. I think we'd get along great even though I'm 19 hehe. Anyways, is their a vid on how to read and write braille? I'm very curious.

  • @MonteLSV6

Hey man - yeah definitely don't feel sorry for 'em. I'm legally blind, and trust me - what a blind person wants most is to be respected and treated just like a normal person - not felt sorry for. So, you got the right attitude. Good luck on the Braille!

  • wait, your blind?? How the hell are you..i guess, reading would be a good way to put it, sorry if i offended you there....but how the hell are you doing this? omg this intrigues me so much.

  • @MonteLSV6

No offense taken. :) There are three main ways for a blind person to know what's on the computer screen. There are programs that allow you to "zoom in" on images or text until it's big enough to read (for partially sighted). There are speech output programs where on-screen text is read aloud to you, and there are Braille displays that represent text with Braille. I use a combo of the zooming software and the speech output and I'm able to do whatever I need on the computer.

  • Damn dude. I dont even know what to say now. Saying good job would be lower than what i want to say. That's incredible man. Outstandingly amazing...so do you have a computer mouse to navigate through the screen?

  • I feel very bad for the blind and always think if there's anything I can do to help them.

  • good video. It could come in handy for someone who's eyes have been injured or is newly visually impaired....

  • Thank you for your comments.

  • how is a blind person supposed to watch this?

  • Since the gentleman demonstrating shaving is blind his description is fairly clear to follow. We also post the videos on our school website and include a text document that can be easily read by a screen reader. We strive to only provide some ideas and not the only solution to a topic. A parent might get an idea from watching this while working with their own blind child. Not necessarily is the video directed to a blind person.

  • @WAStSchBlnd how will the blind person even get on youtube? this is so contridicting!

  • @gymnasticgirl60 Our students watch You Tube all the time it really is accessible. Though they might not see the video they certainly can hear it. On our school website they have access through media player and can start and stop a video just as sighted people do but through keyboard control. Our videos are also well described since we have blind or visually impaired people creating them.

  • @gymnasticgirl60 well my father can and he is blind he uses a braile usb plugin thing and speech program

  • @gymnasticgirl60

I'm blind and on YouTube as we speak, so it must be possible. :) Actually, blind people can do just about everything a fully-sighted person can do on a computer. I'm using software that greatly magnifies the screen, in conjunction with a screen reader that gives me verbal output.

  • lol exactly what I was thinking

    they're going 2 have 2 make a braille version

  • LOL epic

  • @kirkeat That's exactly what I was thinking!

  • @kirkeat They don't see the video if blind but the description given by the person in the video is very detailed and so they can follow along and practice what is said. This video would also be helpful to a sighted person who is a parent or a caregiver and wanted to help a blind person learn this skill. 1 second ago

  • It took me a while to figure out why he was continually moving his hands along whilst speaking. He's reading Brail. That's amazing.

  • He was talking constantly, plus, people who take care of blind could give them better advice from this video.

Just because its a video, doesn't mean the video is everything :)

  • that's a nonsense - teaching video for blind people :-D

  • lmao

  • What an interesting clip. I never considered how a blind individual person shaves.
