When I had fallen so low, had done all the wrong I could do. When I had no place to go and no where to turn and Satan seemed victorious, I turned my eyes to heaven and there I saw his face and it only took one look. Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank You for saving me.

WOW..IM ON YOU TUBE OFTEN..AND I ALWAYS SEEM TO FINISH IT UP WITH THIS SONG....LISTEN TO THE WORDS PEOPLE...I EVEN GOTTA REMEMBER THESE WORDS...TO TURN THEE AWAY FROM SIN....ETERNAL LIFE TO ME....HALLEJUAH! THANKS FOR POSTING THIS.
I can't even stop watching this video. It touches me and everyone I've shared it with. And you know something special is happening...just look at the tears in so many of their eyes. What a blessing.
Black Gospel( Good News) You bet! This music stirs your soul. I't's like a wave washing over you, song after song. The music tells a story..UNCHANGING... GOD'S LOVE. LIFE CHANGING..from above. HOPE! in a RISEN SAVIOUR! AMEN> I truly wish I had the opportunity to live next door to these folks. Truly inspring. Thanks
Inspiration knows no color - God knows no color - God's praise comes from all colors - It is more heartfelt and inspired because we are making music for God's ears. There will never be a replacement. I cry when I see poor people in oppressed countries just singing their hearts out. People in oppressed countries may be persecuted for singing about our Christian God. But oppressors cannot reach into our hearts and minds. Oppressors cannot snatch away our Love of God.
I don't want to make this about race. but its just something botu when my black people open up their mouths and sing! I wish my people can see that we are one in a million and so talented! Put so much soul and feeling in what we do its. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. This is how family reunions look like when my eople get together and my grandma and her brother get to singing and the fam joins in :-) I love it yes I do!
@cefinow - I feel the same way. This music draws you to the bosom of Jesus to just lay there and bask in his love. There is nothing else like it in the world!
the very first time i heard this and saw this video i cried... extremely powerful spirit moving song... i wish i could have been in that room while they were recording this song... the annointing and healing !
Wow.... this was truly a Blessing for me. I shared with my mom wondering if she knew the song, I should have known. It reminded her of the church she grew up in, singing in the choir and how blessed to be exposed to so many facets of church music. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS AVAILABLE TO US!!!!
Wonderfully sung! I am only 21 years old, but I am an old soul at heart! I believe that music like this needs to return back in most churches nowadays! This song really moved my spirit! Very powerful annointing!
I love this! When I was small we used to listen to Elder Lightfoot Meshaw on the radio and I've never forgotten the sounds of joy from the choir. I'm white, 81 years old and still love the sounds of praise that come from this post. Thank you. OneKewpie.
how do i put this-- so i am white, and walk with Jesus in the way, already-- but when i hear black gospel music, it is like He reaches out his hand and draws me toward himself and says, "Walk just a little closer, my dear." I never feel that with any other music. And that is why every member of the body of Christ needs every other member!! This means so much to me. God bless you.
@cefinow This is so awesome...Thank you for sharing, and I totally agree with you...Be blessed and continue to enjoy this joyous music...We are all God's children...God love's you, and so do I...From the heart....
@cefinow GOD Bless you for this comment. Oftentimes we put ourselves in catergories, but the truth is we are one body in Christ and that's all that matters!
@cefinow can I just thank you for what you said. My husband attends a non-denom church that came out of Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa, and I after all my life listening to gospel and hymns, CANNOT feel that Maranatha music!. So I'm in the other side of how you feel! When I hear a hymn or read the words of a hymn, I just turn to liquid jello! And get those holy ghost musicians, it's a WIN-WIN!!! God bless and keep you!!
@cefinow Don't do that to me. I'm black and the small things like this stir my spirit in a good way. God sees no color when it comes to his music we are all his children and he speaks to us in different ways.
I love gospel music especially fast ones Idk what makes me so how do u say..... energetic just listening makes me want to go to a black church they sing amazing I wish I could sing like them. :)
A White Lady friend of mine looked at this with me and wondered why some of the people in the audience were wiping away tears??? Was it joy?? I told her it was tears of joy and sometimes tears of family members who are now gone. In
African Ameican funerals you may have the congregation sing songs like this at a funereal and when you hear it again at anytime, the feelings of that day come
back like it is just it was when you were singing at a loved ones funeral. It takes me back to those days.
This song is so emotionally charging. It reminds me of my little church in rural Texas as a child. That is when people sangeded and meant what came out of their mouths.
Was these folks having cherch up in there or what?...Was the Holy Spirit up in that mix or what??? I know the late great Billy Preston was feeling it, and so was I...The anointing of God was just so strong and ever present..Who said you have to be in a Church to praise God???.Phew, make you want to holler at the top of your voice Hallelujah, Glory be to God....
I haven't heard this kind of singing in a long time! This is what you call sweet music to our ears. Whom ever that is, playing that piano, is plucking every nail, screw or tack loose!!!!! You go mannnn and the saprano singer killed it too. LAWD have mercy on that piano!! I love it. I had to share this with FB friends and family. Where in Maryland can I find this kind of singing??
who cares if it's oldschool or contemporary if it's sincerely praising God, that's all that matters, not the sound or the beat but the words and the motive behind them. God doesn't put restraints on how a song should sound to be considered as gospel enough, we do.and we shouldn't need a song to sound a certain way to feel the spirit, we should be able to praise God no matter what old or new.
OH MY!!!! They just don't make gospel music like this anymore!!! I am so tremendously blessed every time I watch this video. The anointing and presence of God was so apparent on the faces and through the tears. So much experience coming out!! Thank God for these GIANTS of gospel music!!!

O MY Lord!!!! This is true Gospel music in its purest form. Great singers of all ages in congregation singing a gospel song that reaches in and grabs you by the heart. I really felt the Holy Ghost in this clip. Praise The Lord!!!! Just lovely to see and hear.
this blessed me real good. I love the traditional gospel even though Im 35yrs.old this kind of traditional gospel tugs at ur heart and gets in your soul

Only a Look at Jesus. I have never heard this song before until today and just happened to come across it. What a beautiful song. I COULDN'T and CANNOT stop crying thinking of my dear beloved mother (Edna Mae Morris Blockton) who left me in 1993 and BROKE MY HEART. My heart is to full to continue, but thank you for posting this.
Lord, Lord, Lord. Nobody sings like black folk. The blend of so many "untrained" voices; the harmony alone brings tears to my eyes. All I can say is, what a mess it is going to be in heaven!!!! Meeting my Father, seeing all of my loved ones, and hearing singing like this will indeed be a joyous occasion . . . EVERY DAY.
This song isn"t like the songs of today but it has the annointing to it. I'm only 16 & i like old fashion song like this better then songs of today becuase people today don't sing there faith like the older saints did
WOW! What a blessing... it reminds me of the Gaither Homecoming series, with so much talent in one room. Is there a DVD of this?

Only a Look at Jesus. I have never heard this song before until today and just happened to come across it. What a beautiful song. I COULDN'T and CANNOT stop crying thinking of my dear beloved mother (Edna Mae Morris Blockton) who left me in 1993 and BROKE MY HEART. My heart is to full to continue, but thank you for posting this.

To have some of the greats of gospel singers assemble in one room is awesome. I could only imagine the anointing that was in that room.

Lord, Lord, Lord. Nobody sings like black folk. The blend of so many "untrained" voices; the harmony alone brings tears to my eyes. All I can say is, what a mess it is going to be in heaven!!!! Meeting my Father, seeing all of my loved ones, and hearing singing like this will indeed be a joyous occasion . . . EVERY DAY.
