I always thought that homosexuality is a sexual preference and not a prospective race. Being that I know people who have been gay: and than saved by Jesus Christ and now live straight lives and happy lives. Most gay people I know; don't live fulfilled lives. What a world where people: who do all of the true hating- are the people who come up with stupid shows like this,- that talk about freedom for gays.

I don't agree with same sex sex. I'm aware they're nice gay people and I don't judge anyone. But I will never agree that same sex sex is just as natural as any man and woman. That is hilarious because if you look at studies children who are adopted into a gay family actually have better home lives and thrive more than when they are adopted into a straight family. Today children are taught about others have a different type of family and there is no trauma as you put it. Many times you will hear children say I wish I had 2 mom's or dad's.

In the end it will all come down to the definition of marriage. I have not seen anything to prompt dissolution of the between one man and one woman description. Honestly, if you actually get to know a homosexual, your perspective will change. All conflicts occur because of misunderstandings between two parties. We all have the basic logical functions to see if something is right or wrong if we have the same information. Without actually having any kind of close relation with any homosexual, there is a big gap in information because that is the very subject of debate. I really wish that you could understand but it is purely up to you.
I am sure I still have much to learn about all people, but many homosexuals that I know are absolutely against all this uproar over gay marriage and are not in favor of it. More does not always give the benefits sought. Frankly, all of the protests and other militant actions turn me away. It seems whenever a liberal is unhappy about anything it turns into a public protest. I see it as either a judicial question or a constitutional amendment, either way, once and for all.
It seems that the mentality of this generation is much more complacent then the previous generations. I concur that there are advantages for married couples and perhaps it is time to extend some legal rights to civil unions. I'm not gay... but I've always believed in equality for all. I live in California, & even I was saddened by Prop 8 passing. I would have thought seeing as how I'm 19... that my generation would be one of the more accepting ones. BUT even kids at my College were protesting for "Yes on Prop 8". It disgusted me.
I always thought that homosexuality is a sexual preference and not a prospective race. Being that I know people who have been gay: and than saved by Jesus Christ and now live straight lives and happy lives. Most gay people I know; don't live fulfilled lives. I really hope that this issue is solved soon. There is nothing more beautiful than being able to be able to share your proclamation of love for another in front of your family and friends. What difference does it make if those two people are a man and a woman, two men or two women. I agree, it is your right to be bale to experience marriage and for that marriage to be acknowledge anywhere in the world just like any heterosexual couple. Equal rights for everyone!

Be happy together. I am Hetro and feel no loss never having been married. You do not need to be married to be accepted. All of this seems motivated by a movement's need to get attention. It is marriage now then it will be something next. Love is not created or enhanced by a marriage. Take a look at all the divorces and infidelity in marriages. if you don't like marriage, that's fine, but at least you have the choice to get married. Gays aren't fighting for this just to get married, they are fighting for this because there is a clear distinction between the rights of heterosexuals and the rights of gays. If gays weren't allowed to sit in the front of buses, the effective protest would be the same.

In the end it will all come down to the definition of marriage. I have not seen anything to prompt dissolution of the between one man and one woman description. Any gay man and marry any woman he wishes and any gay woman can marry any man. Should be interesting to see how it goes. Still seems like a waste of a LOT of time and energy - unless there was a move afoot to ban civil unions or outright ban homosexual behavior.

Honestly, if you actually get to know a homosexual, your perspective will change. All conflicts occur because of misunderstandings between two parties. We all have the basic logical functions to see if something is right or wrong if we have the same information. Without actually having any kind of close relation with any homosexual, there is a big gap in information because that is the very subject of debate. I really wish that you could understand but it is purely up to you.

I am sure I still have much to learn about all people, but many homosexuals that I know are absolutely against all this uproar over gay marriage and are not in favor of it. More does not always give the benefits sought. Frankly, all of the protests and other militant actions turn me away. It seems whenever a liberal is unhappy about anything it turns into a public protest. I see it as either a judicial question or a constitutional amendment, either way, once and for all.

It seems that the mentality of this generation is much more complacent then the previous generations. Political protests are how all our freedoms exist and it does not bode well when protests are slowly becoming taboo. Also, with all the terrible corporate scandals going around, very few ppl are actually out trying to get justice. This seems a bit like we are falling into the mentality of 1984.

The People of California voted. I did not vote for the socialist Obama, but I will respect him as our President for his 4 years, but will strongly and respectfully oppose his socialist agenda. The vitriol and smears against Bush were largely sour grapes and hurt the Office of the President. The fact is, if two consenting adults want to get married they should be able to do so. PERIOD!
There really is no discussion here that will ever be valid when we are talking about the rights of an individual.
Marriage is a legal binding contract with over a 1,000 rights and benefits that is recognized by the government. Married hetero couples take it for granted because it's not something they have to think or worry about.

Marriage is a union that is defined by society and religion. All those descriptions and history are what makes what marriage is - between 1 man and 1 woman. I concur that there are advantages for married couples and perhaps it is time to extend some legal rights to civil unions. Being Homosexual has its costs and benefits, just like many things in life - it is a trade off.

To you, perhaps the core value of marriage is reproduction, but to others, myself included, marriage is the bonding of two people who care deeply for each other. A deep, romantic bond can be built between two people of any sex.

My name is Zace and i live in alabama i was the first person in my school to openly come out as a Lesbian. I know so many closeted gays that are to scared to be faced with the torment i had to go through to show people i am still me, and after so many years of having my head held high; a 9th grader came up to me and said thank you for being me. i felt so confused but the next day i heard that she came out to her class and smiled about it.

Anyway, I think it's a bit dangerous to ask people about God? You are leaving out polytheistic religions which believe in more than one God.

I'm not gay... but I've always believed in equality for all. I live in California, & even I was saddened by Prop 8 passing. I would have thought seeing as how I'm 19... that my generation would be one of the more accepting ones. BUT even kids at my College were protesting for "Yes on Prop 8". It disgusted me.
