Our city just auctioned a couple of these off...I was fortunate to be able to get one...I got a really good deal...our police chief is a good friend of mine and he shaved about another 700 bucks off for me... I pick it up tuesday minus the lightbar, sirens and cage...But the push bar stays, the spot lights stay....Got to test drive after I got it along with another police officer...

Got to hit the lights and siren :) It was cool..And the car hauls ASS

@wawonas very true! a buddy of mine (back in 2007) retired his 1997 cvpi (all original main powertrain) with just over 1 million miles on it (used a a cab from 2000-2007) and it was a former OPP cruiser "chase car" - just awesome!!

They're tanks. No other St8 4ward Car like this and shame they're being killed off. V8, Body on Frame , RWD, Live Rear Axle. No other is any simpler .

Charger, New Caprice, New Taurus Intercepter may all handle better and run quicker, but None are Tougher than the Crown Vic.
