A Scenic Ride on the Amtrak California Zephyr

If there is one train I want to ride at least once in my lifetime, this is it - Train #5 in winter, Chicago to Emeryville. Great shot!

man i miss riding the amtrak... so much fun. California is such a gorgeous place! Wyoming and California (NorCal and the Southern Coasts) i think are some of the most beautiful places in all the world.. Such a pity about the cities... Cali people are of a different sort. :P no offense to anybody, its just interesting; from my observation they arent like people from anywhere else. You know a Californian when you see one. :D

jesus christ, that sight of the rockies is jawdropping. It just gets me so excited about riding this train in the future. I'm reminded of the film North by Northwest right away.

Nice!!! I have ridden Amtrak's California Zephyr train several times over the years round trip between Reno and Chicago passing through this very location.
