  • The sheer size of that wall is unfathomable. It's funny to see idiots criticizing these guys, just getting to where they jumped from takes incredible skill and determination.

  • It seems like they took a huge risk jumping so close to one another. They were very close to hitting eachother during their chute openings.

  • +!!!

  • These guys have some real balls of steel.

  • U 2 dont know what ur doing. Crappy jumps, greetings from norway

  • @2handle2hard <<< Idiot.

  • OMG! This is in Pakistan, and I never knew! :S

  • doing better than all the people who are criticizing and have base jumped from there

  • Damn it I posted that shit backwards from what would be easiest for people to read and it make sense

  • These people have allowed those like myself to participate in one of the most beautiful, dangerous, and incredibly physically AND psychologically demanding things in human existence. Thank you. Rest in peace to all those who, with blood, sweat, tears, friends, loved ones, and their own lives, paved the way for all in the BASE community.

  • BASE specific rigs that are tested true in every conceivable circumstance...that have one way vents on the bottom so that object strike may end up in "riding the wall down" instead of certain death...that have tailgates to prevent line-overs that can spiral you to your death...that have WLO toggles that can simply reliably and safely release from your brake lines to clear a line over immediately...I can go on and on.

  • It is these brave people, who constantly push and cross their physical and psychological boundaries to extremes few people in human history have ever, do, or will experience, who have allowed us to be at the point in BASE that we are at today.

  • first goPro ever....

  • why wold the lower jumper open his shoot before one chasing him. the one above could have landed in the lower guy's shoot and both would be dead, i guess on high altitudes with no oxygen the brain gets stupid.

  • @cloudchaser07

right, I saw it as well, they almoust killed each other.

  • that was still in times when a white man could get in Pakistan and leave in one piece

  • @guitarfan1979 Well I always thought that nowadays there are certain parts of Pakistan which you could enter and its completely safe. Especially places like Skardu, where I guess there isn't much of any political influence?

  • This is the most awesome jump I have ever seen. Favourited! : )

  • it wouldnt be that hard to get stable after more than ten bloody seconds

  • Ok who's mom didn't like this video, Nic's or Glenn's ?

  • is this montain 6600 m from top to bottom or from the top to the sea level ?

  • @zorilaz From top to top, it's a never ending mountain :P

  • @zorilaz From Wikipedia:

"On 26 August 1992, Australians Nic Feteris and Glenn Singleman climbed Great Trango and then BASE jumped from an elevation of 5,955 metres (19,537 ft) on the Northwest Face, landing on the northern side of the Dunge Glacier at an altitude of 4,200 metres (13,779 ft)."

The distance they fell was roughly 1755 meters (5,756 ft). The summit of the Great Trango Tower is 6,286m so it's about 2,086m (6,842 ft) tall (i.e. top to bottom).

  • What' looks most dangerous to me is that the second person can get caught in the first's parachute, as they jump simultaneously and are so close to each other. I don't know, never jumped like that..

  • put the other parts of the video about the climb please!?!?

  • I laughed at the guy who didn't stick his landing so well haha. Not the prettiest base jump. Though the 2nd guy was going to get a chute in the face.

  • That was a horrible demonstration of how to BASE jump. Location is awesome, the climb is legendary but man, their BASE skills are seriously lacking......

  • @MoonUnitAlpha The helmet camera unbalanced them. Also consider how intense the winds would be

  • @derhimmelstoss- Lots of jumps are made with cameras including big heavy set ups and that doesn't happen. I am quite familiar with what the winds are like in freefall. Thinner air as some people have said would alos not be enough to throw their control out that much especially after 7 or 8 seconds......

  • @derhimmelstoss Those cameras arent so big they would make a BASE-jump uncontrollable. In skydiving/BASE wind, or rather 'relative wind' is your friend. Its what enables you to "fly". These guys didnt fly, they fell. They tumbled the entire descent, and it looked dangerous.

  • @MoonUnitAlpha they just spent days on that thing its not at a low altitude ,around 19000ft is where they are at and they are exhausted.

  • awesome awesome awesome

  • awesome :)

  • yes this is a very hard rock climb that takes days to rock climb up, VERY hard

  • The record is 6600m

  • How high is the actual cliff face? That was incredible, it was vertical the entire way down!

  • @stevensegal1 its 20000ft high

  • This is the best-filmed base jump video I have seen. Excellent! Applause!

  • i whanna jump there

  • After doing something like that, what else in life could compare?

  • wingsuits??

  • Jump from the space, just as Kittinger did 40 years ago, possibly the biggest thrill ever

  • anyááááááááááááddddddd :O :O

  • Wow! That looked like a chaotic fall. I wonder if this free fall was planned exactly in that way, especially on the start. That looks too dangerously...

  • amazing vidoe

  • professional idiots on closed course. Please do not attempt without first asking your health care provider if you are a nutjob. If watching this gives you an erection that lasts over four hours discontinue use of the video immediately and apply a habanero based sauve to the affected area. When the screaming stops reapply and visit the zoo.

  • Wow! way to take it to the edge. Nice narration.

    Lightning and thunder.

  • its the trango towers... its in the northern areas of Pakistan! These are very tall lovely peaks..

  • Do not try this at home;)

  • well thats over 2000m higher than a normal skydive so yeah its really thin air that makes it harder to breathe and harder to fall becuase theres not so much windresistance, thats why they are almost hitting the wall :)

sorry for wasting your seconds reading this :D

  • they seem very unstable.. big jump though

  • the air is VERY thin up there, and after a hike like that you would be exhausted. its hard to be stable when there is so little air around you. these guys are good/ ballsy

  • @ianbrooks it a several day climb you have to live on ledges for maybe 2 weeks

  • i rekon the first guy ad a few to many whiskeys before the jump

  • northern pakistan

  • The Karakorum mountain range (NW end of the Himalaya) in the NE corner of Pk. These towers are at the end of the Baltoro Glacier - the region around it is called Concordia - and they are not far from the mountain which may be only 2nd highest but is 1st for awesome: K2.

  • I saw this on television, the second dude almost died because he could not deploy his parachute because he was wobbling. The wobbling was caused by the weight of the camera gear on his head.

  • nice jump. is it just me or did the second jumper look a little unstable? awesome location though

  • Ive heard at high altitude there is much less air and so its much more difficult to control the fall.

  • it just seems so much cooler when you base jump then skydive because you look so tiny compared to whatever your jumping

  • Insane Jump!

  • the dream for every climber, but no way in hell im going to climb there

  • Nice jump. It seems, the second guy had a bad exit.

  • ahhh .... ah

  • nice job glenn you legend please give my regards to david and nathan

  • What a fantastic pair of daredevils.

This hill is in Pakistan. You know that geography is everywhere. so it ought to be taught in school. Further proof that school is nowhere.

Oh yeah kids, know that obscenity is the crutch of the weak mind.

  • waaao! that was beautiful

  • where is this fucking wall? I would like to boulder it!

  • trango towers in the himalayas

  • madness in its purest form.....

  • fffffffffffff intense

  • Nic Feteris - Australian BASEjumping legend. Well done Nic.

  • these guys are brave to climb to that height and then basejump wow

  • hrrrhrrhrr

I've seen hiiips of bad jumps, but this one.... hehe..

Congratulation, you're still alive! And it's not your fault.

  • Incredible. First to reach the summit then make the shortcut back.

  • great wall, terrible technique tho :0

another location to add to the list :)

  • When was this jump made? Love the retro outfits! They did not track at all! Get a wing suit boyeeeeeee!!!!!!!

  • This is from a video called Base Climb - a climber teaches a base jumper to climb and vice versa so they can both take on this cliff.

Irconically, the second dude was the experienced base jumper - he just messed up the jump.

  • This is unreal, Awesdome.

  • so good

  • mmmmm, how big was the jump??

  • huge balls,,,but some seriously amateur skills,,,second guy to have gone should by rights be a bloody skidmark on that cliff face,,,respect!!

  • Awsome jump! Did your ears pop when you hit the ground? ;)

  • lol whats with the weird voice over and sounds lol.. howd the get up there? helicoptor? then decended to that ledge?

  • This is by far the worst display of base jumping I have ever seen! nice work.... surprised you're alive!!

  • oh my god, this is amazing!

  • it was a fantastic experience for them until they realised they left their cigarettes on the ledge and had to go back up for them

  • That's hilarious limoges.

  • This is the bravest men in the world!

  • Awesome!

  • BTW wicked 80's gear :)Does he have a friggin fax machine duct taped to his head?

  • marvelous haha!

  • I would reccomend taking less acid before the jump. That might minimize the voices in his head. Just a thought.

  • good one

  • That tumble was ridiculous. That shit was tight tho, highest altitude base jump ever when it was done.

  • Unbelievable! This is by far the most spectacular base jump I have ever seen!

  • never heard of tracking or what? thats some sketchy base jumping.

  • tracking?never heard about it.what is it?I didn`t mean that the base jumpers was crazy in a negative way, they are people who I admire. Greetings from Norway :-)

  • He was referring to the sketchy base jump. Tracking is when the basejumpers/skydivers sweep their arm backwards and stretches their legs, causing them to "fly" forwards, or track. Basejumpers usually track away from the wall, and these guys failed to do just that.

    - They were tumbling all the way down.Could be excused by the thin air,but i wouldnt be surprised if they died.

    - The first dude seemed to deploy his chute in the second guys face.Relying on vertical separation alone isnt exacly safe

  • This video is just terrifying!!!These guys are stir crazy!!!

  • Well ... I also got the whole dokumentation. In this, the serious part of the alpine climb ist also nice to see. Perhaps I also can offer this (seperatet in a few parts).

  • @sulaco12 Yes put it out would be great to see

  • Simply awe-inspiring. Not only an incredible jump, but from a serious alpine climb. Hats off to those Aussies for the quick way down.
