Not really. The furry fandom is a community of people who happen to have a liking (whether it be in art, fursuits, stories) - and it has, like any community, a place where people meet, and make friends with, other likeminded people. Am I trying to cover up the porn aspect? No, it's there out for display. But if you look with an overall view - the fandom's positive aspects outweighs the negative (aka, the "fetish" side- which happens to be a small percentage)

1. This is more of a condescending way to acknowledge a fur's presence. 'Fag' is a shortening of the word 'faggot' which aside from the literal homosexual interpretation is a generally demeaning term.

2. I hardly think that these characters were designed in the context of 'furry' as we recognize it. The creators probably aren't aware at all.
