  • Wow!! Nice toy!

  • cool!!

  • and that's what i call a simulator....:)

  • Thats how its done!!!

  • now thats a turbo

  • Umm... Portable?!

  • hurricane machine = organ from hell

  • Medusa is a great name for that machine. XD

  • i've been in a real hurricane before.. a simulation isnt the same as the real thing...

  • WHO CARES

  • damn ryt

  • Have you been in a simulation of a hurricane to know that they aren't the same? I doubt it.

  • im pretty sure you cant simulate the exact force a hurricane has... you can get close.. but it wont be the same..

  • Why wouldn't you be able to?

  • because it isnt just wind... it is also strong rain and lots of flying debris which can last for hours and i dont think anyone has the resources to simulate something like that for an extended period of time... the best "simulation" would be to be in the real thing.

  • You can just throw shit in it or in front of it. You really don't see the point of simulating this do you? It's not like a ride... its for research. Why would they need to run it for hours?

  • because hurricanes dont last minutes.. they last hours.. if they want to see the amount of damage a hurricane does the experiment needs to last the same amount of time.. not just 5 minutes.. how do you know that on the 6th minute something else would break off or something would crash into something else?

and no i dont see the point of this experiment.. if they want to test the damages first hand they should wait until the next big hurricane hits to test out their theory.

  • How do you know they don't keep it on for hours anyway?

  • how do you know if they do?

..anyway my point is is that its better to test out their theories in a real hurricane rather than a simulation.. its not the same from my point of view..

  • well it would be safe to assume that they can simulate a hurricane, it is also safe to say they probably know more about than you do, assuming they don't know how to study something that is their jobs to study is just silly.

  • well from this video all they use are some fans to blow some wind onto a trailer... that doesnt seem like a real hurricane simulation.. also in real life a trailer would have some sort of security cables or w/e holding it down to the ground.. i dont see any on there... all i see is a big fan blowing wind onto an unsecured trailer on the edge of some platform where it will obviously tip over......doesnt seem like a hurricane to me..

  • When I refer to the scientists i am referring to the scientists, not the myth busters.

  • then this little ordeal of ours could have been avoided had you told me that before lol

  • Then what would I do all day?

  • When you can arrange a hurricane, I have a few evil minds that want your number.

  • and dude jorge a lot of doing these experiments is just for money keeping the show going etc etc and going into a real hurricane would not be safe testing let storm chasers do that =P

  • haha yea

  • I like 1:15.

  • I WANT ONE!

  • Lol, that thing is serious. It almost looks like tubas and a pipe organ pulled a transformer move and united. I wonder how they came up with such a design....

  • glad to see im not the only one that thinks it looks like a bunch of tubas fused together. XD

  • not anymore
