  • i know it sounds silly but i actually prefer the bang bang :P

  • where would you buy a really good one?

  • not to sound stupid but what is this for and why use it???

  • @xozackxo45 alot of people use this when racing on track you drift on. usually dirt tracks when you want to have the gas pinned as hard as it will go without doing too much damage to the engine. so when your putting the pedal to the floor you dont have to worry about whether or not your over doing what the engine will handle for long periods of time.

  • @xozackxo45 lol a rev limiter is used mainly to stop a car from redlining..because redlining an engine is bad...can be used for other things but that is the only reason u need to worry about

  • Is that wireless or wired into your car?

  • any one know whats wrong if the Bee*rs red light lights up and stays on but the limiter isnt back firing or doing anything? i jusst wired it up and only thing that works is the red light on the Bee*R the car still runs normally the egines an rb20

  • why are people saying this is a fuel cut lol? it cuts off the spark..

  • does it mess with the ignition system or how does it work? just wondering fellas :)

  • @HeavyMetaldude500 Hey matey, basically it just cuts the spark (eg. Stops spark plugs from sparking) at the desired RPM and applies it again once the revs have dropped. It's to prevent engines being damaged from overrevving (and as others mentioned, boost when drifting). Stock cars use fuel cut, which basically means the engine stops at redline, this device basically just lets the engine keep running but cuts spark to stop it going past redline at all. Does that make sense? It's hard to get.

  • @imagod00d oh, well i understand :) thanks alot for explainging, always trying to learn new stuff about engines :) im used to my old weber-tuned carborator volvo haha :D

  • @HeavyMetaldude500 Haha, no worries. Learning about engines can be hard, but once you've got the idea on how they work and some practical skills it can be quite simple.

I'm much the same, my current car is an '85 Bluebird with a carby. Another month or two and it'll have an S13 Silvia CA18DE in it. I'm sick of carburettors :P

  • rev control for burnouts ;)

  • Question I bought my cousin a 90 240 sx and he said he put a rev limiter on it and and there us nothing in the car that looks like what you had to adjust it with. What is the rev limiter usually hooked in to?

  • On a turbo glanza, would one of these do damage to exhaust/cat/turbo?

  • Does it only limit for the launch? and how do you keep it from back firing?

  • Hi mate, I've fitted one to my ca18det, it seems to do nothing at all, except the other day I saw the light flash and the engine just cut out! I've tried to test it on various settings and it does nothing, until randomly the light may flash and the engine will cut out again. Do you have any idea what I may have done wrong with the wiring?

  • i need not to worry about engine blowout anymore.

  • anyone know how to install on of these I really want to get one but dont have the slightest clue on how to install plz help!!!! thanks

  • if i wanted to set my launch control @ 3300rpms..to catch traction..then once its caught traction will i be able to redline the rest of the gears if i wanted to...including 1st.??...my sr needs one of these..all i do is spin out of first ....can u adjust rev cut thru all gears..such as wanted it to limit it at 7300rpm@ gears 2-5 while keeping it at 3300 in first?

  • Factory rev limiters cut off the fuel, which makes the engine run lean and hot. Bee-R rev limiters cut off the spark, making the engine run rich and cool. You get flames because the unburnt fuel ignites in the exhaust system.

  • im not gonna lie thats sick

  • mine doesnt work properly, if i have rev 1 on 0 the limiter will be at around 3500, then at 1 the limmiters at around 5500... isnt it meant to go in 500rpm increments and isnt 0 meant to be off? any ideas why its doing this? its in a VCT sr20 if that changes anyting

  • Do u have a site were i can order one of those???

  • How hard is the install? Any tips since you already installed urs? Thanks in advance

  • would this bck fire for a non turbo? eg cvt( vtec nissan)

  • @matthewbond007 yes it would but i think u need to make your exhaust stright pipe remove the converter

  • how easy is it to hook one of these up??

  • how true is that this rev limiter will burn the ignitor?

  • @Mesarina

uhhhh.......what the fuck charles? WTF is the ignitor? The spark plugs? The ignition coils? (or distributor if so equipped?) This is not a propane grill.

  • @JulianVR4 Google sr20det ignitor....

  • pussy

  • CAN I BEE R A n/a

  • yeah i think

  • @JuanPapaNicolao Yes but you won't get the flames/backfire coming out of your exhaust from the turbo obviously

  • @jersthecool Rx7 does that without the cat

  • @JuanPapaNicolao Yeah lol I wouldn't doubt it my 90' 240sx with no cat even backfires sometimes lol

  • @jersthecool i love that shit lol

  • @JuanPapaNicolao Yeah same it's sick but the exhaust that's on there is a piece of shit one that the previous owners husband welded on there so I'm just waiting for my full 3" exhaust to get here that I ordered online =)

  • @jersthecool Nize

  • why would you want a rev limiter?

  • Think about how turbo cars make power.

Think about how little power they have off the line.

Think about how a rev limiter could help build boost for a launch.

  • Mines is set 7-8. when i let off Flame on

  • how complicated is it to install a rev limiter? i've been looking into getting one for my s14 but i know nothing of the installation.

  • @OptimusP I got it Done at my boys shop. that i werk at when it get warm out. lol i dont take my shyt out in the winter

  • @OptimusP ITs not that hard to install if u kno the right people... lol as long as u have ur ECU . PCM Pinout's u can install mostly anything...

  • where did you get that kind at and how much

  • the bee-R are made for do some back fire on car show or when you drift to impress

  • Ummm, no, it's actually a fuck ton better than bouncing off fuel cut and it's mostly for racing to keep a lower rev limiter so you won't have to worry about that, and it bounces a lot faster than the factory fuel cut, and it indeed does help with the turbo spool, but

  • it isnt a fuel cut, it is an ignition cut, so the spark plugs dont spark when it hits the bee r's limit, there for it doesnt continue to rev so unburnt fuel is sent from the cylinder when its supposed to spark, out of the exhaust valve and into the exhaust and either the heat from the exhaust or when the plug sparks again, ignites the unburnt fuel, causing the flame from the exhaust pipe

  • the bee-r rev limiters are used to prolong engine and turbo life bro lol.

  • Comment removed

  • keeps the turbo off balance..bee-r fcks up the turbo bro,the rpm changes way too drastic

  • curious if u have to return to idle before adjusting the gain or the desired rpm...anyone know?

  • i installed mine on a s13 ca18det and it is not working, the led flashes but not at 2500 on 0 , it flashes at 3500 but no cut , any one know how to make it work ?

  • i have a movie posted on my user with the problem

  • And why would anyone want one of these? I guess its kinda interesting tho.

  • Keeps the turbo spooled when drifting, and also acts as a limiter/launch controller.

  • lol did you really need that? Couldn't you gauge it yourself? Just wondering.

  • Gauge it all you want... it has less to do with limiting the engine from redlining, then it does with keeping the turbo spooled and in it's power range when drifting. Not necessary by any means, but it makes for one less thing to have to think about while drifting.

  • Ok well anything to make it better for you when drifting i guess.

  • @zackt69~ your Tacho is full of shit man!

  • @zackt69 how does it help when drifting?

  • @equoowe It helps you stay in the engines power band in a given gear...how does this not help :S

  • @NewRomantic4 it doesnt do that tho, it stops the engine from over reving, if you are hitting the rev limiter then good chance you are past peak power unless u set it really low

  • @zackt69 cuts off ignition vs standard fuel cut preventing engine dmg at specified rpm (generally rev limit) that is the main reason drifters, wrc and f1 cars have these. Flames appear only because its not cut and dumped out of the exhaust.

  • @zackt69 Just get anti lag and launch control

  • @fuzzynyan I madethe same action without even realizing it, so really no need that :)

  • @zackt69 when do u drift lol when it snows

  • @surfordie82 awesome when you see the flames shoot out of the exhaust ;)

  • @surfordie82 The launch control is great for drag racing, but doubles as the perfect assist for drifting. Your capable of keeping your foot planted on the gas pedal while pulling the E-brake and depressing he clutch.

This video makes me want to re insure my skyline :(

  • OK people in the Comments i got one Band new from Setagaya,Tokyo Japan Shipped to USA. Eastcoast

    Bee☆R REV LIMITTER [[INSTRUCTION]] [MANUAL]

Are all in Japanese I wish u somebody can post a video on how to install this unit because its very small once u get your hands on one and i happen to have own one for my Mitsubishi. JDM

  • people just get em to flame >.>

  • what do you need to do to make them flame and not flame

  • basically one of these, but tuned for redline, fills the cyl's with fuel because of no fuel cut then fires it out the exaust

  • How did you wire yours? I wired mine according to the drift works website and my light blinks like it should but it doesn't cut my ignition, just keeps revving.

  • haha cool video

i have never seen a rev limiter get set so low,,,,,,How does it govern the engine,..just backs off the throttle...I dont understand the bouncing noise it makes.

  • Rev limiters interrupt the power going to the ignition system.

  • oh thats pretty simple

    thanks.

  • is it good for turbo cars cause i was thinking of getting one.

  • get one

  • so ill take that as a hellyea

  • how hard is to installed ??

  • installed ?? Make a video on how its {installed ??}

i getting mines put in at Top Level. they work on alot of Evo's there and sti's as well

  • what happened, did computer games get boring? lol

  • What does the red knob do?

  • hey i was aked before does the bee r rev limiter work on automatic transmission?

  • Yes but it would be of no use since you never hit the rev limiter exept if you were reving it in neutral >set up and everything would be the same too.

  • is this safe to use for d engine like

  • The e-Manage Ultimate does this also (2-step rev limiter)... and it's a piggyback. I think it is a better option than the Bee*R.

    Just my 2 cents. ;-)

  • For sure, the e-manage is better... this cost about $300 less though (plus you need to buy the harness for the e-manage, so add another $100 to that). This is not a full ecu, but for what it does I'm happy with the unit and the price :)

  • Bro where di you get this BEE R litter i want one.... let me know

  • I picked this up used when I was in Japan.

  • this device is so you don't over rev when drifting and for launch control. not meant to shoot fire and show off at your local high school.

  • this also started in rally cars in the early b rally series. they race at such high speeds sometimes its better to keep your engine about 500-1000rpms lower then what it COULD actually do. sure it makes less power in lower gears but makes your car LAST a hell of a lot longer. it also served as a way to keep rpms up threw hairpin turns for rally cars. so you can keep your RPMs topped out spin it around and not blink. or get (bog down)

  • That anti-lag. not a Rev limitier

  • Fail. this is a rev limiter. as you can see its called a BEE R-Limiter. .. stands for B- REV LIMITER. it is obviously a rev limiter dude.. anti-lag system LOL

  • Comment removed

  • what are they called.can you put the on say a ranger

  • You are a moron. What you are referring to in Rally. Is anti lag. They could use a rev limiter but not for what you are describing.

And I was not talking about the video, Comment response. Not video comment :Dee Dee D:

  • @BoostinFc3s actually.... the japs use it to shoot flames and show off and Bee*R is a Japanese company sooo yeah.

  • @HeavyGhost

that wasn't even relevant to what i had to say, so try again.

  • @BoostinFc3s Incorrect. You said it was not meant for showing off. Which makes my previous comment completely valid.

  • @BoostinFc3s the rev limiter is great on these for shooting flames tho... on a rotary that is :)

  • cool

  • if i want to drive normal, change the shift at 2500/3500 rpm,can set missfire?

  • can you increase rpm lets say to 9000rpm with the bee r limiter????

  • nope, you cant put the limiter higher..

meaning, on a stock car, you cant put it into the red area..

  • IM so confused! what the hell does this thing do?!?!

  • you can increase and decrease the rev limiter, although when your car goes up to let's say 7000rpm, you CANT set it higher.. but below 7000rpm you can adjust it 500rpm at a time...

  • so if you wanna go drifting, but don't wanna ruin your engine, you can set it up to 5000rpm.. thats just an example...

and this lil device also has launch control, when you put your car on E-brake, set the limiter to lets say 4500rpm.. full throttle.. goes up to 4500rpm.. release clutch and release E-brake, then your able to go up to your full rpm.. so yea, launch control right there! =P

(im gonna put this machine on my skyline and then it'll also produce loud bangs and flames! whoooop!)

  • where can i find one?!

  • on the dash of this guys car or at kmart

  • hahaha :)

  • i havent died yet...

  • Nice, why does the needle go batshit insane when it cuts?

  • The limiter is adjustable... if you read the description you can see that it says "low rpm test". I can raise the limit above the cars redline if I wanted to. This is a dedicated track car, so everytime I drive it I go well past 4 grand... fucker.

  • hahaha...u are seriously a retarded fucker!

  • hahahahaaa u should seriously shut the fuck up faggot!

  • haha I did that for fun to see the feedback from people like you.

  • u can set it low so you can for an optimum launch when drag racing

  • wish i can get one for my 22re

  • It's not necessarily bouncing 2k rpms man, fuck sake.

Just how accurate do you think rev tachometers are?

  • ok what is the point of that...? a real limiter is supposed to hold it at one steady rpm for maximum traction when you drop/slip the clutch. this however is bouncing more than 2k rpms...this is total trash...

  • A real limiter doesn't hold it steady.

You don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

The point of the Bee-R is to cut ignition to drop the revs instead of cutting ignition (which is much safer).

  • do you listen to yourself talk? "the point...is to cut ignition...instead of cutting ignition"...why do you bother me with such stupidity. first off, cutting ignition is not as accurate or as safe as fuel cuts. a real limiter doesn't hold it 100% steady but it holds it within 100-200 rpms...not this 2k rpms. and if you need me to take a vid of my rev counts on my limiter, i can if it'll shut you up

  • ignition cut is much, much safer than fuel cut, reducing fuel causes extreme heat and then damage. ok most stock ECUs run fuel cut but when a car is tuned especially a turbo'd engine it is safer to run ignition cut. The Bee-R limiter has adjustments for revs (1.rpm to reach before it cuts 2.rpm to reach while the handbrake is on) and harshness of the ignition setting (degrees). That jumping around isnt his engine, it is his gauge, do you really think an SR can change revs so fast?

  • The EPA would be all over that if cars were dumping unburnt raw fuel into the atmosphere. Fuel cut is much better, yeah running lean will hurt it, but then again you shouldn't be bouncing off the limiter for more than a few seconds anyway. =/

  • Comment removed

  • wtf my saab 9000 limiter is at exactly 6000 rpm, not much bounce.

  • yeh coz its like flat out for a saab haha

  • How much did you pay for that Im thniking of getting one for my sr20det.Was it hard to install?

  • why the fuck does an NA have a Bee*R rev limiter?...

    what a waste of money....

  • Well, since I did an engine swap to an sr20det and have a turbo... it's no longer NA. Gotta have money to waste money son... noob

  • lol aww shit SR20..

Sounds like a KA to me though..

Time to get a fart can and remove your cat!

    I wish I had a Bee*R to play with.

  • Cat's removed... haven't gotten an exhaust yet because I was driving it around to break it in. Now that it's a track car, I plan on getting either the single titanium exhaust or dual N1 exhaust from Apexi.

  • Yeah I kind of feel like it's an SR20DE"T" which means it comes stock TURBOCHARGED. Why do stupid people have to live? WHY!?!?!

  • hey, where did you get your Bee*R from? i'm thinking of getting one for my R31?

  • I got it direct from Japan... I have a friend out there and am able to get parts-

  • do u know if u can get em in canada or the states? and do they work with carbed engines?

  • Wait, so you can change your idle speed and the limit with the control thing?

  • Actually this year 240sx is speed limited to 115mph... the sr20det engine is capable of much higher speeds, and with the speed limiter delete box I have it's no problem. Considering this car is mainly for drifting though, 115mph is more than fast enough.

  • stock 240sx is limited to 118mph. break the limiter and iv' seen stock 240's to over 140 with room to go

  • Lol max 110mph on the speedo? Hope it goes further than that?

  • noob....

  • Totally badass. Nice limiter there.

  • Awesome.
