  • 3:39 you can see already that Tyson killer instinct look

  • Comment removed

  • Worst knock over is the one were benny paret gets killed

  • omgggggggg most devasting knockout i ever seen cheeeeeeeeeeehooooooo malo tua the heavyweight title gonna be yrs uce just finish barret sole u can do it.

  • Damn!!!!...he got rocked..

  • this guy can have a punchers chance against anyone in history he could have just as easily knocked out lewis if one of those punches connected more often, so full credit to lewis for surviving and outboxing this man

  • I think this is the fight that made Ruiz work harder in every fight after.

  • funny how Ruiz became a 2x champion and Tua didnt even win a title haha!

  • The ref sounds like Tony Montana LOL

  • Lennox toying with Tua? Lol what Ali did was the definition of "toying". What Lennox did was the definition of "running away to protect his glasschin fom Tua's left hooks". Lol Lennox is a fuckin overrated piece of shit. He's boring to watch. He's the black version of Wlad Klitschko

  • @destroyxeverything tottally agree with your comment. Its sad that tyson vs lewis didnt happen before they did. Lewis knew(as did most the crowd that night)that he would beat the undiciplined older late 30s tyson. i swear i would celebrate to see this black wlad get knocked out again haha

  • @destroyxeverything you mat have some points but here is the problem, im not a big lewis fan myself, but he is simply one of the best ever, even with those 2 losses he avenged them both, did he "run" as you put it from tua....yeah no shit this tua guy has the most brutal left hook probly ever period, and thats how lewis won by out "boxing"him, people seem to forget this sport is boxing and that includes dodging and countering not just walking forward like some idiot,

  • @destroyxeverything so lennox lewis is a boxer not a brawler, and hes no whimp himself he is also very strong, hate lewis all you want but the bottom line is he is one of the best ever and he has probably the best resume of the past 20 years and thats the truth look it up

  • This was the first fight that was uploaded on youtube that I wanted to see the punch stat numbers pre-fight as well as the entrance and intro's. LOL... give me all of my money's worth! ;-)

  • УУУУУУУУУ

  • tua is fighting again, hopefully he's no longer homeless. he should be retired already but since he didnt handle his money well, he cant. very sad.

  • i think this may be the most brutal and most impressive display of power in a HW knockout in boxing history

  • @danhantheman @danhantheman LOL brutal? What's brutal is how Lennox Lewis toyed with Tua. Boxing is complex, man, what's brutal is playing to your opponent's strength and hoping to win.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros lennox lewis is a bitch. that's why he may be good but he'll always be a bitch and no one respects him. not even the HBO people. they respect Roy more t han him

  • to close to call

  • That performance did have everyone thinking he was Mike Tyson with the shoes and the trunks and the ferocity but... Mike Tyson had that side to side movement too. Would have been great to market Tua to the American public though.

  • This is a fantastic knockout.

  • funny thing , the winner of this fight is now homless while the looser is retired two time world champion who made millions of dollars

  • @ulverup hes not homeless u fukcen idiot..

  • @ulverup lol tua is fuckn rich

  • @officechronic he's u dumb fuck , look it up

  • @ulverup haha tua is my neighbor.

  • @officechronic google " david tua homeless " and see a big ass interview with him

  • @ulverup Get your facts straight you homo

  • @Tonaye123 looooolll

  • @ulverup Tua is not homeless.... and he has a rematch against monte barrett scheduled for august 13th and he is rated 3rd by the WBO so get your facts strait

  • Simon Cowell @ 6.13 in the background I think

  • Chin check

  • thank you tua for destroying the worst boxer ever

  • John "The quiet man" Ruiz....funny name. But I suppose when you're lying on your back on the canvas unconscious, you would be pretty quiet.

  • YUUUUUU CAN DOOOOOOOO IHT

  • John 'the cowardman' Ruizzzzzzzzzzz

  • ticets cost 10000 dollars. fight last 10 second=LOL

  • Chur

  • LOL! tony perez at 2:00 new the fight was gonna be over soon lol

  • @buyneee LOL at his "12 rounds, yeah right" face.

  • I'd say he could have take on 4 of John Ruiz.

  • dam i jus blink and its already over.

  • pe TV...hehehe

  • rogan

  • Redban

  • Rogan

  • rogan

  • Rogan Ftw

  • I had no idea Scarface was the ref.

  • JOE ROGAN SENT ME HERE

  • @fudgeyflaps how did he do that ? why ? and when ?

  • @fudgeyflaps may i ask why? im a fan of Joe Rogan and David Tua and if he sent you here he mustve ha something cool to say

  • @fudgeyflaps And i sent Joe Rogan into coma, GTfO.

  • @fudgeyflaps he's a fag and so are you.

  • That combination would kill the average man

  • good fight :D

  • Love the comment about Ruiz being "schooled" right before it happens. :)

  • The tuaman can bang!

  • Tua's 1 second observation after the first left hook at 3.57 then just jumps on Ruiz. Imagine him staring you down like that... SCARYYY

  • Fark

  • I wouldnt pay any $ to see Ruiz vs 80's Tyson... cause its probably last 10 secs

  • That last left hook was disgusting.

  • too bad Tua and Tyson never got it on..

  • still.. any upset involving a Don King-fighter is suspicious IMHO

  • holy smoke

  • 6:22 ouch!

  • I think both Klitchko brothers can be easily defeated. They cant fight backing up and they both get caught when they are going backwards. A guy like Tua is aggresive enough to push the action and beat both brothers. I would love to see Tua get a title shot.

  • wow

  • thats my uncle

  • @capablemachine not every fight is about fast knockouts though. You have to admire Lewis' 'jabbing and moving', Tua went the distance with Lewis but surely Lewis wore him down with his speed and skill

  • Comment removed

  • this is the best Ruiz fight ever! I hate that guy's boring shitty style. I hated his grab fests with holyfield but he looks great out cold!

  • I cant stop laughing at the last replay.....He looks like he's saying " why, I ought ta''. haha hahaha!

  • HAHAHAHA! I never liked Ruiz and I love the way he looks sideways after he hits the canvas. Look at the last instant replay and you can see he's off to sheepy land before hes settled on the mat. Good stuff.

  • Tua is beatable in "boxing". that is, he can be outboxed. i'll say this.

but from the ruiz fight and some of tua's earlier ko's in his career, you can bet your ass that the other hw's noticed that going toe to toe blasting with him was suicide. you better run

  • Pure Oceanic Power

  • This is how I prefer to remember John Ruiz - before his association with Don King allowed him to become a phony champion and, eventually, to become the guy who gave puffed up light heavyweights like Jones and Toney the chance to also stakes their claims to phony heavyweight championships. This fight against Tua showed the real John Ruiz!

  • Tua wasn't so clever when he fought Lennox Lewis though. Lewis outclassed him, Tua wasn't smiling then.

  • Comment removed

  • tua will be world champ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol tua is a beast he fuckedruiz up tuashould fight david haye next

  • Hahaha his nickname should be- John "Quick Man" Ruiz ;D

  • hahaha....dat bitch beaner got fucked up!!!!!!

  • shouldve juss based da match on da records lmao..save ruiz a whole lot of emberassement haha

  • james toney should fight him

  • This was part of an HBO program called "Night of the Young Heavyweights" and was, for many people, their first introduction to these fighters. Shannon Briggs got knocked out by a guy named Darroll Wilson in one of the other bouts. By the way, this is probably a more accurate depiction of the "real" Ruiz than what we saw in later years when Don King was setting up his fights for him. Ruiz was NEVER a legitimate heavyweight champion!!!

  • That coulda been vintage Tyson, the handspeed the power, reminded me of Tyson Frazier, bloody hell eh!!

  • Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tua has been down once and it was a fair dinkum knock down by Rahman in fight number 2 in the last seconds, however no standing 8 count, no time. The court battles have messed up his career. He needs a shot soon coz when ya hit 40 and youre taking on guys lighting fast like Hayne and meat clevers like Klitchko who have a piston like jab all night you have to be at your best. Go the Tua man

  • @stanmancam that was a good fight, Rahman connected alot, After closely analyzing the "KO" it was a good two punches right on the bell from Rahman, just as Tua had stopped punching on the bell. Tua was off balance, its pretty obvious.

  • and ruiz was a 2 time world champion

  • i wish Tua stayed with Duva - Lou Duva would of taken Tua places. i know Duva gave him easy fights - but it would of prepared him for bigger fights like lewis - Oh well cant rewind time.

  • took hayes far too long to put a washed up ruiz out, go the tua man

  • The best 19 seconds of boxing I have seen from Tua. If he is like this no-one stands a chance, unfortunately, he is not always this charged.

  • tuas in his prime now have u seen his last 2 fights faggot

  • fuck this ref!!!

  • Tua does deserve another shot. whether it be against haye first or the klitschkos. Wasnt too impressed with tua's performance against friday the 13th though.

  • epic

  • @Megadeth72

    -_-

  • did the ref just say shake hands?

  • hahahaha i love watching this. Ive always hated ruiz's hold and clinch style

  • what year is this fight?

  • give ruiz some credit, he took a shot that would have floored anyone else and then threw some back while fucked, ultimatley tua is to strong, shame tua is on 5,10, if he was 6,5 and in his prime now, the kilts would be dead, hes told old and short for modern boxing

  • What do you mean he took a shot that would have floored anyone else?

Look at 3:57...Ruiz was saved by the corner/ropes. If he had taken that punch in the center of the ring then this fight would of been a lot quicker than 19 seconds.

  • @JackHQ2010 yeah he bounced off the ropes and stayed up, at 6.35 he starts throwing back, thats what i meant, how many others would have took that shot and tried to through back?

  • Pure instinct...he was never the same man after that one punch.

  • @membland he was throwing on instinct bro, he was already in the showers

  • Comment removed

  • David Haye should watch this.

  • i think if tua fought haye it could be similair to this fight ^^

  • starched.

  • probably shouldnt have dropped his right hand against tua

  • very true mate, hesa born cruiser weight, love him or hate him,hes good for boxing, hopehe defends it and then moves back down a weight

  • that was some left hook

  • where is TUA i wish Tua with David haye .... Haye is a second Muhamed ALI :)

  • @CariDK Don't think Haye will stay long in the heavy weight. I like the guy, he is entertaining, but I don't think he will be succesful against good heavy weight boxers

  • @sigrino haye will ko ruiz, i guarantee u that bro

  • Tua is a fucking legend. Im waiting for his come back

  • u wont have to wait long hes still fighting i believe he has another fight lined up next month

  • @leeds4life4eva Actually he is fighting tonight (NZ time) 31st March against Friday Ahunanya. Check Youtube for the videos in the next 24 hours.

  • I really can't see Haye losing to this guy.

  • That first left hook was loud as, hard, and Hayes taking on Ruiz soon,

  • john "the quiet man" ruiz.....lol.....

if a humble man proclaims their humility, is he still humble?

  • 4:08

    coolest mustache in the biz...

  • @thetruthis9 , thats some ko . wish he was fighting vatail k , in stead of that sosnowski , he sjust ko d some one latley , ? that was class ,

  • yo K.O tacco bell..lol.......go tua

  • he couldnt have said it better: tyson, marciano, frazier.

  • that last left hook was brutal

  • Legendary KO by Tua. Never get tired of watching it.

  • that's one of the most brutal knock out punch of all time ! hail tua !

  • I hear people say boxing isnt just KO's but most who watch boxing want to see KO's, not a run around the ring with a victor by points.

I believe in Tua, he's changed, more calculated, more calm and more dangerous.

Taller opponents, have caused problems for tua in the past. As for either of the Klitchko's i think they might be a bit scared on taking Tua on, its pretty clear Tua has never actually been properly defeated; he's never been knocked down, or KO'd

    Tua deserves a shot.

  • @3rddegreeBB The issue isnt is Tua good enough its about marketing bro, there are fighters out there with a profile thats gonna bring in the bucks I suppose. Klitchkos bros have a jab that Tua will have to get past, but after watching Tua and Ibeabuchi who pumped jabs all night Tua may be able to win but that Ibeabuchi was a few years back

  • @stanmancam Tua's got Kushner, i trust that guy, and his trainer Roger Bloodworth, at least Tua has a good team he can trust now. Your right though, money marketing, man it just ruins prospects of good match-ups. Cant wait for him to fight Barret if thats still happening.

  • @3rddegreeBB nah i dont believe the kiltschkos are scared of him... they would have seen his fight against lennox lewis and believed they had an excellent chance of winning

  • @3rddegreeBB HE WAS KNOCKED DOWN BY THE GUY WHO KNOCKED OUT LENNOX LEWIS BUT I THINK TUA WAS A REALLY GOOD FIGHTER THAT COULD HVE BEEN GREAT I LIKED HIM

  • could've been great what are you talking about hes still fighting

  • @3rddegreeBB - Yh he deserves a shot but like you said neither will ever fight him they would rather fight guys like eddie chambers, shannon briggs and samuel peters because they know they can still sell 50 thousand tickets and leave with the belts still round their waists.

  • @3rddegreeBB tua hasn't had a notable win since his 2002 TKO of fres oquendo, so please explain what he's done to deserve a shot. and even if you were to forget about the last 8 years, if he can't beat a washed-up version of monte barrett, he has no chance against either klitschko.

  • @openhead DA PUSSY KLITSCHKONUTS R SCARED AS FUC,

JUSS WAITING FOR TUA TO GET OLDER ,

THEY ALREADY KNOW THAT TUAS THE ONLY ONE OUT THERE

  • @alevicmauia tua has fought only 3 times since the summer of 2007, all against less than world class opposition, one of which was a draw against a guy who had lost 3 straight and was 3-6 in his last 9 fights. you must be jose sulaiman looking for a sanctioning fee or something, cuz nobody else in the world would have the audacity to accuse the two best heavyweights in the world of being afraid of a guy with that track record.

  • @alevicmauia Watch David Tua Vs. Lennox Lewis. That is a preview of Tua VS. either Klitchko.

  • @3rddegreeBB rofl Tua has been defeated many times dude Chris Byrd , Lennox Lewis , Ike Ibuchuai , and he lost to Barrett a Journeymen but didnt get the descian honeslty man Tua hasn't got the Klitschko camp intrested because of the lack of Opponents Tua has fought recently.

  • @DarthMuse

LOL yeah he lost 3 times in 56 fights that is so MANY times....

Also he didn't lose to Barrett, he also tore his damn shoulder in that fight and he still managed to last to a draw, think of that shit.

  • @davidf35 look at guys his facing is the real things you gotta look at Tua hasn't fought a decent boxer since Chris Byrd he just faced Barrett a guy that was knocked out 10 years ago by Wladimir Klitschko David Tua in that many fights still hasn't been a champion of a belt he was a good one demenisnal fighter in his own right.

  • Tua has never been dominated, he has been out boxed technically in all 3 of his losses. In the losses his opponents got inside his head and frustrated him apart form Ike; that was an amazing fight.

His losses though were to 3 on form fighters, especially Lennox and Ike, it would have been good to see in all three of his losses for the fights to go as many rounds until there is a winner by KO. Its a true test of stamina and ability, a fight decieded on points to me, is not a true victory.

  • left hooker lol

  • john ruiz should work in office not boxing ring

  • Well George what can u prove in 19 seconds haha

  • Larry, the dude is unranked, dangerous and enjoying the life in New Zealand. Looked awesome in comeback bout Shane Cameron (who 'dat?) and is set to fight 03/31 against Friday Ahunanya (who 'dat?). The Klitchkos aren't going to mess with him, especially Wlad!

  • Why are the klitschkos not fighting this mofo?

  • Latest news out of Tua camp is he will get a shot at one of them this year or David Hay... however Tua has to earn the fight first by winning his next 2 fights ... and then poss there will be a title fight. Ofcourse nothing confirmed as of yet.

  • klitschko bros would beat tua

    tua is too short

it would be another reply of lewis vs tua

  • WELL kLIT ISNT Lennox - Klit will never know until he gives Tua a title shot

  • i know what you mean. boxing is unpredictable but the klitschko bros are taller than lenox and thay are also counter puncher like lenox. another thing is they already have the blueprint on how to beat tua.

and there isnt actually any blueprint in the past if he faces vitali. not even the great lenox could beat him. he only lost because of the cut from the lucky punck during a clinch (which is imposible to dodge)

maybe wlad but i dought he could beat him

and dont get me wrong.. tua is my fav

  • e got smashed

  • i would not fuck with Tua.

  • kiss the floor sucka

  • extremely quiet man

  • Is the ref scarface??Lol

  • tua will ko friday "the 13th" Ahinugne on march 31 in NZ then he should fight for a title in late 2010 ,the form he is in nobody is gona stop this guy, power and lighting speed

  • what year was this in????

  • That last punch was vicious!

  • SO WHERE´S TUA NOW????

  • Making a comeback :D

  • this is the only john ruiz fight that didnt put me to sleep

  • John the "Quiet Man" Ruiz...

Tua made him the quietest person in the room

  • @drinkofwater21 - if Tua had tyson - animal attitude, and one to get rid of the guy - then Tua will have it all

  • @drinkofwater21

Not sure, some people woulda been shocked silent... Ruiz on the other hand was making groaning and loud gurgling noises

  • @drinkofwater21 HAHA

  • listen to it properly u idiot, he said O for Olsen not Owesome. its people like you with the untrained eye. that dont listen .. O for Olsen. u full

  • @YorySesca and I bet you're a dumb mexican huh?

  • Also I just have to say (my girlfriend is half english half samoan and everyone looks at her in holland) Tua is Samoan - anyway American studies say that Samoans are 42 times more likely to do well in a high ranking sport than a non-american. Basically this means that they are far more naturally gifted and considering the population of Samoa (which is smaller than a mexican city) they do damn well don't u think? So don't hate YorySesca, just surrender to their power

  • @TheVoorwaarden i think thats bullshit, considering that there are no definite studies that had been done. but i would say tua is one of the most talented fighter in the world. his left hook reminds me of mike tyson. hands down to tua.

  • Lol Instead of going to africa and getting big niggas to do their work they did it themselves thats why blacks are so big they just lifted shit for centries

  • tua is the man!

  • this was the real david tua , not the guy who fought lennox lewis ..
