I have a Stock 1996 Volvo 850 glt and want make it more fun and faster! Thinking of upgrading the engine to handle a turbo or engine swap to a t-5 where's the best place to shop for my Volvo in the U.S?

@Angel92Cheeks A really good online suplier in the U.S. is IPD. try going to ipdusa.com They have a great selection of parts, especially for the 850.

i dont know why yall are discussing brake systems on the 850, but both the 850 and s70 have drum brakes. however- they are ONLY used for the parking brake function. they are inside the disc housing. if you dont believe me- take off your rear disc- there are shoes in there... very rarely does a car company ever make only a few hundred of anything. im sure theres a couple thousand t5-r's in the US. which still makes it very rare. btw- nice car. brembo package had to cost an arm though.

@failingelement Its a rear disc brake with brake shoes inside of them LIKE a drum brake, but not a drum brake

the 850s have a drum and disc brake system on the back, discs are to slow car as normal using the ffot pedal and drum brake system is for holding the car still while parked using the handbrake, if anyone says the 850 doesnt have drum brake then they need to buy an 850 and find out,gobshites
