I have gotten the same car (albeit australian Holden astra 1.8 city hatch but fully imported from Europe). The car has reached almost 220000 km but the engine has no strange noise at all, smooth as ever, I was just wondering whether this model has been shown to be reliable in europe.

mine is like this too. You might want to try and grease the throttle cable or replace the cable completely. I need to grease mine soon.

why bother modifying this dull family car? its not that bad that its an astra but would u not at least modify a 3 door?? 5 doors are plain and boring looking, my mother had a green 5 door astra that she used for shopping and stufff!! it doesn't matter what u do 2 this car it wil still be a practical family shopping/school run car, i mean why 5 door? do u have a few kids or something??

to lower you car u need nice alloys it will look nicer and will improve your cornering, if u get exhaust back box will only make noise but if u get full system it will increas by 5 - 15 Bhp

soz dude i watched but as it went through everything the only thing i thought was its just the same as the rest nothing diffrent from other cars wheres the style? nothing on this car says its diffrent its just a simple basic mod car! spend a bit more cash and get it to stand out more blue lights, alloys and exhaust all simple stuff even the boot spoiler is common everyone got that! think about custom body , paint job couldnt go a miss either.
