Historically, that the center of Russia is Moscow.
The rest of the gigantic territory was conquered by the imperial army. If you look at old British maps, the Ancient Russia was in Europe and the rest territory is called Tartaria and did not belong to Russia.
@usover9k Moscow still represents Russia, cos all these people from regions who come to Moscow (to live or work) they dont act like Muscovite but like people from regions.
Try Red Square in the middle of the night, mid-week, when crowds are mostly gone. Do it in the Winter, light snow gently falling, everything is VERY, VERY QUIET...
I am from Moscow, and I have a few different memories of Red Square, but the one I'm describing here is my favorite, hands down!
Oh, and do you have plans to visit Russian space museums? I realize that the Russian Space Agency is probably very far from Moscow...
Still, it would be amazing to the Russian side of space exploration. I hear Baikonaur launch complexes are extremely large in scale. That would be very cool to film. But probably very far away...
The space museum could be an option if we can get the permissions,,, the permissions are everything :( Thankfully our partners are a smart group and they can push stuff through.
I dont know where the space agency operates out of but yeah Baikonur is like two days away from here by train in Kazakhstan,,, But yeah it would be awesome to film!
@AdamEtheredge Russian Space Agency is around few killometers from Moscow, it placed in the Korolev city. But if you wish to see place where the rockets launching - you should travel to Kazakhstan.
Hmm I never saw that Clint Eastwood movie but Russian food is on the heavy side. Russians love dairy so there is sour cream on everything, which works for me cause I love it! I like the food here a lot but a many of the English speaking foreigners i met in Russia and Kazakhstan seem to find it lacking.
@tkirby3679 Hmm. Sounds nice. I like sour cream too. Hey, what's Borscht? And do you like that?
(and "Firefox" is a very classic Cold War film about USSR creating a super-fast, super-high-tech fighter plane far ahead of anything anyone else has. So the US sends pilot Major Gant (Eastwood) to impersonate a Russian defector and steal the prototype. Really great movie and great book. You should check it out. Fun stuff.) Thanks for the reply! Great show. :) Love from America.
Borscht is a rockin' Ukranian soup that everyone in the former soviet union loves, especially me, I eat it once a week every week, sometimes even more often. The primary flavor is from the beets in it so it is slightly sweet yet meaty,, perfection :)
just type borscht recipe into google, you will get good results surely.
Well, I look forward to your upcoming posts. You're doing a great show. Tele-presence makes us all citizens of the world. Keep up the great work! Love from America! :D
